Another mistake by Chris Grier. If you take away tua's stats against losing teams, he's a below average quarterback. Given that fact, he should not have been given this team killing extension. He is going to go down as the worst dolphin draft pick in history When everything is said and done. He does not act like a franchise quarterback, he is a game manager that is unable to uplift and lead the team. This seems to be a move to justify his drafting and it is just going to waste What is really a small super bowl window that is going to end after next season. Chris Grier must know where Ross has buried all of his bodies. Grier is a terrible drafter. He tends to draft guys too early or just plain draft the wrong guy. The model franchises like the Steelers, the Packers, the Ravens, and the 49ers, consistently draft quarterbacks even if they have a franchise quarterback already. The dolphins refuse and they have drafted such a mentally and physically weak quarterback that he can't even be challenged by any competition. This contract is going to end up killing Mike McDaniels job as a dolphins head coach because Tua is unable to win in November and December and forget about the playoffs. The AFC runs through cold weather teams like Kansas City, Baltimore, Cincinnati, and buffalo and you have a quarterback that has proven he cannot win there in cold weather and loses to winning teams This upcoming season, I think the dolphins will win between 7 to 9 games given the fact that the only team they play that is a slouch is the Patriots. The last six games are in cold weather or in tough locations and most likely going to go 0-6 to end the season. The team is sunk for the next four seasons and even if they manage to win 10 games, we've already seen that tua is incapable of beating playoff teams. It's amazing that in most jobs, people have to perform but the dolphins general manager does not.
Why does Colin always talk about how rich the owners of the teams are? It's not like they can use their personal money to pay players. They have a salary cap.
Jordan Love sucked the first 8 games of ‘23, and now that there’s tape of him for DCs to study, he’ll struggle again this year. Paying this guy after 1/2 a season, in his first season, is a joke.
Who is this no name baldy? 😂. Tua ain’t no Alex smith. Yes he got slack about beating good teams, but go look at tuas numbers and winning percentage against top 5/10 defenses. Pretty good. That goes to show you it’s a team sport. If the Dolphins don’t get hit with the injury bug and the defense is ranked at least 15th while TUAs offense put up 30 ppg. They will be ok
Special teams gaffe and Tyreek drop sank Dolphins in final regular season game which sent then to arctic KC. Don't tells this to haters because that would rain on their little tea party
I suspect there are a few QB's who would cost less to lose 26-7 in the post-season, even in a relatively down market. Losing by three TD's in the playoffs is really hard to credibly blame on injuries (?) if that's what you're arguing. The Dolphins looked like they barely showed up for that game.
@sportshistorybuff319 oh I'm sorry, I thought you were a sports history buff. They had an absolutely decimated team at the point of that playoff game. They had key injuries in nearly conceivable position. Skill positions faired the best, although definitely not 100%, about as much as you could expect towards the end of a season. The offensive line was reminiscent of what happened to the Chiefs before the SB with Tampa. Anyone following that time would have predicted a similar score... although I would have expected 14. In the current market he sits high largely due to the large increase of cap space teams have available this year. QBs general are paid a large proportion of overall cap, and you saw new contracts to QBs this year basically all look like overpayments... because it's the new standard of QBs that are good enough to pay accordingly. How does one get paid after losing 1 game in the playoffs when a litany of factors were completely out of their control? Well I suppose people factor in everything before dropping massive contracts in people's laps. You could consider that players and coaches are likely a better judge of talent than you or I... and especially the storyline selling media... they ranked Tua 36th overall, all positions included and thus the what? 5th or 6th ranked QB? So a 4th highest paying contract that sits below QBs ranked below him seems to be a fairly reasonable contract. Remember contracts are always a progressive moving number. Mahomes is 11th right now and clearly the best QB in the NFL. So how does one just lol at one game to the eventual SB champions and say... yeah their QB can't get paid adequate money in comparison to peers? That's the real question at hand here.
Tua is so mid. People who point to boxscore stats are mid too. He’s not athletic or mobile, weak arm, extremely poor under pressure, performs like a backup against good teams, injured more often than not in his career, can’t perform without all-pros around him. He’s not him. Anyone who watches him play can see it. He pads his stats against crap teams so I’m not impressed by passing yards ffs 😂 He’s never even hit 30 Td’s in a season 🤡 Once his cap hit makes the team cut players like always happens at some point, he will fail miserably because he’s not good enough to perform like elite QB’s can when they have limited weapons.
Colin and guest are Haters. Dolphins losses down the stretch last season were team losses with decimated defense. ALL quarterbacks that faced Mahomes in the past two post-seasons Lost. These Haters know Tua will eventually win a SB to go along with National Championship. Haters Hate.
On today's show on FS1 you said Bo Nix is kinda small but the truth is he is 6'2 and everyone says in person he is built like a RB from the waist down and just looks bigger than his 215 weight. I don't consider that "small"
Do you know how hard it is to learn dolphins playbook sometimes it's about knowledge in his arm power just stfu about it he lead the NFL in long throws 😂
Tua has a better resume then Love. Now you can say Love has more gifted physical tools but we've seen plenty of QBs over the years with cannons for arms that didn't go anywhere. Basically everyone drools over the ideal size and velocity of arm over just simply playing the position. Do we not remember Drew Brees and Joe Montana ? Tua can absolutely beat these other QBs but it's a team game and Tua is not exempt from blame either but is still young to get better.
When are you going to give the man the respect he deserves? He gets the ball to the guys, it is not his fault if the players dont hold on to the ball. Lots of naysayers were hollering he should be quicker at getting the ball out of his hands and to the players and he does just that but still not good enough for ya. If Tua were to win the Super Bowl, I am sure there would still be no chance for his well earned respect. Seriously, either respect him or keep it shut and to yourself. He is a franchise quarterback that has earned the money he received.
Colin got one week stop ragging on tua. It used to personal at this point. Tua has had more success thus far. You were living on tua talent under Saban. It is tired
I dont like it, but you have to do it or he goes somewhere else and gets paid anyway. They cant start over at qb with this itaration of the team as it is now. If they wanted to move off tua, they should have done it when flores was still there or when they switched to mcdaniels. They wouldn't be in this situation had they moved off him earlier.
They paid because if he held out, you would have a mutiny and the dolphins fans would riot. Its not a fair conversation or your opinions because QBs dont grow on trees
I have to agree with these guys that Tua is not worth this big contract money. Is this a normal NFL incentive to get a QB to win more games? I guess so. Tua will always be second-rate.
Wait stop hold up a minute......as a dolphins fan ill argue back and forth about tua all day but im not allowing any ross slander this man has shown his desire for this franchise to be a winner over and over every time miamibgot caught up in some tampering bs it was cause of his desire to win how can you claim hes absent or distant?
great move by miami. Tua has proven in this system he can be elite with timing and decisions. losing to buffalo and then to the champs and Mahomes was a choke. at some point u have to beat these teams to get a ring. but look at dallas in the nba this year. they made it when the nuggets were upset. didnt even have to face em. they didnt win but they were in the mix. miami is now in the mix. they didnt have many other options. just hope to win the division and play at home not in the cold. also tyreek was in and out of games and missed a lot of important drives the last part of the season. imagine having a WR mvp contender not 100% and losing to Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes in one of the coldest games in history. ya they didnt crush it, bit in another matrix simulation theres a couple dimensions that they win it all lol
I guess i dont know why Tua is a mistake and Love isnt. Love hasnt proven a whole lot; Tua has had defenses try to exploit him for muktiple years. Neither has earned their contract, but the NFL forces teams to pay qbs.
Love looked like the best QB in football for 9-10 games. Tua looks amazing when he has a clean pocket, when WRs are in stride, when his running game in getting 100+ yards a game. Let one of those things be off or he has to improvise and Tua looks like a bottom 10 QB.
@@AilmanF2P wtf NFL were you watching? Love was good but in no way looked like the best qb for 9-10 games. Please go look at the game logs before regurgitating what talking heads push
I'm so sad rn I like tua I'm phins fan and ironically a bama fan but I just don't see it you can't pay him that and they did I'd love to be wrong here obviously but it's my belief we are doomed to mediocrity for the foreseeable future sigh meaning we won't suck but we won't be great either which means never drafting high enough to get a game changer at QB so better hope tua grows a foot and starts throwing far enough to hit Tyreek in stride or they find a brock purdy in later rounds
The argument i keep seeing defending the Tua contract: "well who are they going to get?" Well what has Tua done? Last year with one of the best offensive coaches in the league and stacked recivering cores he went 11-6 lost in the wildcard. Blew out bad teams but the only win against a winning team was the Cowboys. Did not play well in the biggest games of the year vs the Bills or Chiefs, but gave the Dolphins a decent year. Joe Flacco took the Browns just as far after joining the team halfway through the season. Baker Mayfield, Derrick Carr, Ryan Tannahill, Daniel Jones, they've all lead stacked teams to 10+ win playoff appearances. None of these guys are anything special but if you give them a good roaster and some free wins vs the Pats and Jets, they can get you to a wildcard spot, same as Tua. There are so many mid tier QBs in this league that if you give them Hill and Waddle, you will get about the same results. Roughly 10ish wins, maybe 1 playoff win but no deep run. Tua is better than some of those guys but the gap isn't big. The difference is those guys are cheep and the teams that had them recongized their limitations and didn't invest in them long term.
I wouldn’t have paid Tuesday or Love. We saw Love play well in 8 or 9 games. That’s it. I would string Tua along until he signs for the number I wanted. 4 year 42 mil a year is what I’m offering Tua. Love I would need to see an entire year of good play. His problem in college was that he was inconsistent and a turnover machine. And he played at Utah State so he didn’t play against top level competition. You have 3 franchise tags you can use as well. I know players do t like it but hey the players union negotiated with the NFL and they both agreed on the terms of the franchise tag and the fact there even is a franchise tag is because the players union agreed to it. Hate the game not the player. I’m just playing by the rules. I would have let love play it out and if he did great I would have given him a contract at the end of the year. If he is pissed and wanted to leave I would be like No and slapped the tag on him and tried to work it out before the next year started. And at the end of that one if he played well I would offer him another deal and if he is still mad and wants to leave I would be like nah ahh and slapped the tag on him again and then I would trade him. And you can franchise tag someone 3 times. It becomes prohibitively expensive but it can be done. Just saying.
Imagine my surprise going to the comments see them get cooked for ignorant commentary lol absolutely no context just saying shit to say shit. Also I just want to add there are maybe 5 or 6 QB with absolutely cannons everyone has average to above average arms. That argument is horrible lol.

If he gets another head injury his career might be over and the Dolphins are still on the hook for about 163 mil. He will get another concussion I can pretty much guarantee you that’s going to happen. If you are the neurologist that’s examining him and you have to sign a piece of paper saying he is cleared for contact are you signing that paper? Because I’m not. He had 3 concussions in like a span of 10 weeks in 2022. That in itself is unprecedented. I would t have cleared him to go back then. I’m sorry if I’m the Dr I’m not doing it. I would say no I’m not doing it and my advice to you is to retire while you still can. He has done some long term damage to his brain. It may take 1-2 decades to start manifesting itself but it will. Depending on how bad the concussion is you should be out for a minimum of 3 weeks. Not one week not even 2 weeks. After you have a comcussion your brain does things to heal itself and make repairs. It takes a while to do like a month. If you sit just 1 week and go back out there and get another one I cannot express to you how bad that is. He should have been taken out for the rest of the season then and he goes back out there and has another one! One of them they aren’t calling a concussion but anyone with eyes and a brain could clearly see it was a concussion and not a back issue like they said. I’m really afraid that kid is going to get hurt very badly. If I’m him I would have retired and taken the money I had earned and rolled with that. It’s still more money than 98% of people will never see or make in their lifetimes.

Colin was calling for Jordan love to be traded or cut early last season so I'm sure he'll just walk that back
Why does Colin always talk about how rich the owners of the teams are? It's not like they can use their personal money to pay players. They have a salary cap.
Taking Love over Tua is straight comedy.
This didn’t age well
Jordan Love sucked the first 8 games of ‘23, and now that there’s tape of him for DCs to study, he’ll struggle again this year.
Yes team sport but don't spoil haters' party with that interesting little fun fact
It's a team game. It's not that Tua disappeared in the "winter" they just didn't beat anyone with a winning record
Special teams gaffe and Tyreek drop sank Dolphins in final regular season game which sent then to arctic KC. Don't tells this to haters because that would rain on their little tea party
As a Hawks fan I ask all the time if they NEEDED to max out Trae.
I like Tua 🤷🏽♂️
I never wrapped my head around commentators who can easily say that you should make less money.
Tua is not that good
life is so unfair 212 million for mediocre season with this guy is ridiculous 😭😒
Who’s here after they indeed fucked up by paying a qb that goes in and out of consciousness over the smallest of hits 😭
I am so happy to see these two tua haters tears.😂😂😂😂😂
You’ll definitely be crying when the Lolphins don’t win a playoff game coming up
Enjoy the Dolphins not sniffing another SB for years to come
Two grown men hating on another man for getting paid is pathetic.
@@Guy117 A grown man slobbing on the knob of someone he doesnt know is even more pathetic
Love is out for three to six weeks and Tua leads the league in passing yards after week 1
How does one get $212 million after getting trounced in the playoffs , 26-7???
Do you have any idea what parts were remaining on the team at that point? Do you have any idea of what the QB market looks like? Catch up
I suspect there are a few QB's who would cost less to lose 26-7 in the post-season, even in a relatively down market. Losing by three TD's in the playoffs is really hard to credibly blame on injuries (?) if that's what you're arguing. The Dolphins looked like they barely showed up for that game.
@@sportshistorybuff319 that's because they did barely show up to the game. It's like you don't know anything at all 🤣
Kindly explain what you mean without expecting me to be a mind reader.
Colin is annoying but not much better when he has mr clean over here saying obnoxious shit too. Like who the fuck is this guy seriously?
Eat it Colin! ...you cant pick out your own clothes much less football that you dont pay attention to anymore. Y'all's hate is repulsive. Rhubarb Pie.
Tua is a good kid but he is small slow and has a noodle arm! Not sure how committed Miami is to winning!
Colin and guest are Haters. Dolphins losses down the stretch last season were team losses with decimated defense. ALL quarterbacks that faced Mahomes in the past two post-seasons Lost. These Haters know Tua will eventually win a SB to go along with National Championship. Haters Hate.
Colin,
Dolphins had a good OL long after Shula. You're forgetting the Wannsteadt years with Ricky Williams and later with Jay Ajayi.
I agree. Tua has been sketchy at best since being drafted.
A mistake? Yeah. Huge? Nah. Did they really have a choice? Not really unless they want to bridge QB with those heavy WR contracts.
Now the paper skulled Tua has another concussion
They paid because if he held out, you would have a mutiny and the dolphins fans would riot.
Its not a fair conversation or your opinions because QBs dont grow on trees
never again. laziness is no longer accepted Colin. Retire. Tua is too short, you are too ignorant.
I have to agree with these guys that Tua is not worth this big contract money. Is this a normal NFL incentive to get a QB to win more games? I guess so. Tua will always be second-rate.
Alex smith never led the league in passing yards
funny, it is 97 mill fully guaranteed
I wonder if Miami need to put training camp in a cold place to get them ready for the cold weather
No, ..."what you talking about Willis?" They have best training facility in NFL. And where is it cold in July/August? C'mon Man!
They should have waited for Dak this would have made them I a super team
Why not sign Jimmy G for a pittance? He has done more winning in this offense than either Love or Tua.
Jimmy G is washed bro
@@kb4231 wasn't he always washed?
Collin you compared Tua with Tim Tebow.
@@javiercalzada8139 It's so weird. Tebow couldn't throw the ball at an NFL level.
I think this is the official youuuuuutuuuuuube Channel
Jordan love has only 9 wins as a starter.
Herbert bigger strong = always a injury excuse for bad performances
I'm so sad rn I like tua I'm phins fan and ironically a bama fan but I just don't see it you can't pay him that and they did I'd love to be wrong here obviously but it's my belief we are doomed to mediocrity for the foreseeable future sigh meaning we won't suck but we won't be great either which means never drafting high enough to get a game changer at QB so better hope tua grows a foot and starts throwing far enough to hit Tyreek in stride or they find a brock purdy in later rounds
Two bozos
MY COUSIN TUA GOING SHOW UALL HATERS WHEN ME BEAT EVERY 1 up this year
Shut up. Respectfully 😂
It's 93 mil fully guaranteed..do ur homework
You’re a hater sir. All Collin those is hate. 🐬
Tua pays Cowterd & Simms!
Just saw Alex smith with his wife n kids Ona hike trail in Hawaii lol
The argument i keep seeing defending the Tua contract: "well who are they going to get?"
Well what has Tua done?
Hawk Tua girl says she and Tua should hook up
Colin ,you are the problem .
These guys are lazy thinkers and foolish haters. Give it up. retire colin.. you lost it years ago.

Or Ray Rhodes coaches a season
You're just some random guy...
A wall text of nonsense. Armchair GM you are fired
@negative2positve380 there are actually multiple blurbs he constructed. Guy needs his own satire magazine
John looks like he swam in sewage recently.
Imagine my surprise going to the comments see them get cooked for ignorant commentary lol absolutely no context just saying shit to say shit. Also I just want to add there are maybe 5 or 6 QB with absolutely cannons everyone has average to above average arms. That argument is horrible lol.
Tua and the Dolphins will WIN the AFC East this season. Collin will hate Tua even more 😂
Shut up uncle colin
Tua is 6’1” 230lbs. Love is 6’4” 218lbs. Tua is more accurate as it’s been proven on every leaderboard you look at all the nfl rankings Tua breaks, as for a weak arm the last 2 seasons Tua led the league in touchdowns over 40-60 yards. He drops bombs like the military.
🤣🤣🤣 that’s why you guys aren’t GMs!!! We love Tua
Middlekauf is about 20 shades darker than Collin. They're both white.
You guys are bad haters, to the Samoa boy Tua, he is a great QB 😊, just watch the end of this season, you 2s are going to kiss TUA behind and say, I'm sorry 😂
You're just some random guy
