Nokia is still very much experimenting right now at the flagship segment, but serious on low to mid class devices, Nokia should 100% back to their Lumia design but with lesser bezel

Well its not out in the market yet so theres that
Nokia can't do Lumia anymore. Microsoft has that. The Nokia we see now isn't the same company as the Nokia who make the Lumia. MSFT bought that Nokia, screwed them over, and closed them down. This new company is carrying on Nokia's original mission, but is still not quite the same.
I miss that Nokia got shafted, given how it's been the most innovative company in the mobile market.

To be honest, before samsung, htc and other premium brands.Nokia is one of the first brand that still consistent in making phone alongside with motorola, sony ericsson, siemens and other classic brand and I respect nokia for what it is now.Yeah the price is kinda high compared to other flagship, but their build qualities are no joke.So you have my respecy nokia

It's unfortunate the 8 Sirocco's been Nokia's first miss since their rebirth, hopefully they learn from this and perfect the next Nokia 8 and the rumoured ultra flagship Nokia 9. Right now the best stock Android flagship is still the Pixel 2 XL.
I got the Nokia 7 Plus instead of it, switched from iPhone 6s which was awesome phone and OS, I love Apple ecosystem and how the are the best in terms of quality, but any way...Nokia 7 plus is...Amaaaaazing phone 👍👍🤩

Super display with high contrast and full lamination with polrized screen with very deep black levels
Super cameras for the price,the best indeed...quality in day light are unbelievable... Portrait is pretty accurate though, the best edge detection for any Android phone, despite the UI and the editor are lame..but the quality in the daylight or good light is conveniently tricky it may be a dslr not a phone
Battery is insane...I got a 1.5 day of real use ...quick charging also

The things I didn't like about the Nokia 7 Plus:
Wifi bug, just got disconnected suddenly, but gonna be fixed soon in updates ...Android one is a thing to rely on
Keyboard is a little bit slow...not a deal, but just want to mention it to make you know
No OIS, very low light portraits are not good, the zoom photo lens isn't working in low light, but hey...look at the 370$ price and you will just understand... beside the cameras are really very powerful + they have Manual mode...you need to use in real life to understand 👍👍
Go for the Nokia 7 Plus and you will never regret😀😍
Just the battery is switching off too early, although 35xx should be something. But still 7 plus is better option than N8S as N8S comes only as single sim version...
DSLR Beginner Around 7 hrs screen on time bro, battery is on bar with Moto E4 plus...which was my secondary phone for whatsapp and emails alongside my iPhone 6s...Battery are incredibly strong on the Nokia 7 Plus, Don't worry about it 😎😃

This phone is not for the best features. This phone is all about the looks. There's no other phone with 16:9 curved display (with slim bezels), stainless steel & Gorilla glass 5. Nokia 8 Sirocco is a phone for those who wants to stand out from the crowd.
Eh s8? S7 edge? I say you get the nokia is because of the android purist. Combined with looks. Its a more glorified pixel with a bit worse camera

You should try Symbian Belle Launcher for Android on it, it will give it a professional, classical, yet practical look, especially when you know that it supports Landscape mode and minimizable widgets. I loved the review by the way.
I'm using the Nokia8 Sirocco since a couple of months (more or less). I love the look and feel and the issue with the color shift is only visible with whites. Camera performance can be improved dramatically by installing the ported pixel camera app, but you cannot use the telephoto lens with that app. I was at a rock concert the other day and recorded a video. The recorded sound quality is perfect, not a single distortion. So, to summarize, I love this phone and I would buy it again today. :)

In my opinion, this phone is more or less a showing of Nokia's hardware prowess (particularly the design) and not meant to compete with mainstream flagships.

I like how Nokia goes for an all-rounder approach instead of just excelling at one thing and skimping on all the others, but the disadvantage is that there's really nothing to distinguish this phone from others.

Nice Video... Im actually considering either the 7 Plus or 8 Sirocco... but I think ill just go and buy last years Nokia 8... Its cheaper now and its had a few OS updates..
I think that the Nokia 7+ is a better option to buy for the specs and price... and the update to android P beta
This review is really biased, especially the price point discussion. Nokia 8 sirocco is selling around 600 USD which makes is way cheaper than pixel 2xl and even oneplus 6, and screen's colur shift is not all a problem, I have been using it for one week. Camera in auto mode is not the best, but if someone is looking for pro photography they shouldn't mind using the camera pro mode which really helps to take much much better photos than auto mode.
I would say, if you need pro quality photos - you better use a pro level camera, not a cell phone.
And there is no difference in photo quality, if you upload your photos to social networks - they will be compressed anyway)

Is it worth it at £430?
Concerning the mushy buttons... I own a 8 Sirocco and mine doesn't have mushy buttons, they're a bit hard to reach but when pressed they do not feel mushy. Also battery life in my experience is above average, I easily get two days out of a charge with 3~5 hours screen on time... I don't game on my phone, but I almost daily use it for navigation. I agree mostly with everything else... but you've missed to point out that when holding the phone the bend screen could mess with the touch input, it could use better detection for that.
16:9 feels large because it actually gives better screen space in many cases. Video in 16:9 actually gets smaller on an equivalent size 18:9 screen than on 16:9.
The Galaxy S9 with 5,8" 18,5:9 is just 5,1" like the flat S7 when displaying 16:9 content. 6,2" 18,5:9 is equivalent to 5,5" when displaying 16:9 content.
I think she made this video just to complain. Why don't she mention the 360° Nokia OZO audio capture which no other phones are offering
Because, google, Samsung and Apple gives reviewers incentives. They have it out for Nokia because they have to pay Nokia licence fees to use Nokia tech in their phones, in which they wouldn't work without Nokia tech
This phone is a piece of crap! I just got one and regret it! Nokia is no longer manufacturing quality devices but merely trying to get noticed by any means necessary.
The only thing nokia has to fix is to put up to date chipsets in their latest flagships, otherwise they are great phones to begin with
All manufacturers try to get noticed. Samsung and Apple are actually crap. They literally have an expiration date. Every IPhone and Samsung Galaxy starts to fall apart after two years. I still have working nokia Phones from 2010. They call quality never goes bad.

Matthew Paul That changes over time. My Dad's s7 edge used to be clicky in the side button department, but became mushy after about 2 years.
This phone is Definitely Design Over Substance Tho, Love The looks but hard and slippery to handle.. Still 7 Plus A Solid Performer & Best Offering from nokia this year
It is a slippery phone. I cannot hold it without a case. It slides right out of my hand. So does the Xiaomi Mi Mix original.

This phone is all about looks. It's gorgeous. Other phones have better specs but try hold the Sirocco in your hand and tell me of a better looking phone.

Keith Richardson Fast charging is available (Quick charge 4.0) There's also wireless charging. Only Chinese variant lacks Google services. Global variants are Android One devices which means pure, stock experience with two years of guaranteed system updates and 3 years of security patches. Nokia devices will be the first to get latest updates right after Google's own Pixels
I prefer the regular Nokia 8 version simply because it has actual navigational buttons on bezel which don't take up any space on screen.

I have a Nokia 8 as well, its a good phone for the price and the stock android experience is really good.Honestly the Sirocco looks horrible and is a rip off compared to the 8. They copied Samsung with the curved edge and made the phone look ugly and its proportions look strange + no headphone jack

They actually mis-spelled it. It's spelled scirocco and pronounced shirocco. It's a hot desert wind. Volkswagen made a car named it in the 1980's.

Bought Nokia 8 3 months ago but after 1 month the jack of the ear phone has not functioning when i used it. The camera as well it's too dark unlike samsung. But the phone is amazing .
Nokia 8 sirocco with larger display, SD card support, larger battery, camera with OIS, then I will pick it up before I chose Nokia 7 plus.
However, above improvement spec shall be on Nokia next flagship.
