blackberry is amazing for emails and pdf and excel files.
Looks like the implementation of the keyboard is really good, with the fingerprint scanner and the touch scrolling on the keyboard.
A lot people mistakenly compare this phone to social/entertainment aimed phones like iPhone and Samsung. This BB is a business phone, not meant for people that snap and IG all day. I'm really digging this.

@phillip perkins And vice versa. The only two things you can do on these glass slabs that you can't do on a KEYone/KEY2/LE is dunk it in water and charge it wirelessly.
EVERYTHING else can technically be done on it, but obviously not as well as on a slab that's been DESIGNED for those things (camera, gaming, media etc)
Typing on glass will never, ever match typing on real keys.

@phillip perkins You may have misunderstood me.
A BlackBerry KEY device is not necessarily better than glass slabs, matter of fact it's not as good at a lot of things than they are, except when it comes to the typing experience. (not even gonna defend the BB Apps, they suck).
So, typing wise, it's better. But each user's typing volumes is different from one another. Obviously those who want this phone know who they are and why they want it.
Most people don't type much on their phones.
If they typed A LOT, there's a decent chance they'd consider a phone with a keyboard.
All I've got to say is I miss my BlackBerry, life was better and simpler. Remember the Hub, all messages in one place. Bam!

@@vivienicimaispaslabas6236 Cameras and other hardware just not good enough anymore and the hub isn't as good as it used to be unfortunately.
Mine was a Curve 8520. Pre hub, proprietary as hell, no apps, hardly any decent games, BBIS and BBM going down whenever it felt like, needed a hard reboot often because it always ran out of RAM, took 10 minutes to restart, only good for keyboard and long battery life but so limited it was hardly a smartphone. No one i knew used BBM so that cool encryption was useless to me.

I love it such a great review specifically about blackberry. I use to love love keyboard phones. Now I'm considering getting one.
I switched to the Key2 and I love it. Everyone who thinks it should have a better CPU honestly doesn't seem to realize that the keyboard costs more to make than a couple of pieces of glass for a touchscreen, and it's not slow by any measure. Solid phone that is less of a fashion statement and more of a productivity device like smart phones were once upon a time.

@personalsafetykam firstly it is not amoled so it'll be a very visible downgrade (I came from the op3T to Key2). But you'll get used to it pretty soon. In fact, I use this screen for viewing RUclips videos and it is not bad. The thing is all other manufacturers come with a bigger screen and hence it seems as if BlackBerry Key2 has a bad screen. The overall user experience is fantastic. It is fast, has a decent camera, tonnes of storage, great battery and I don't even want to tell about the security and PKB. The PKB is Simply FANTASTIC !

Nah, I also miss them. I still type slowly on all smartphones I've used ever since I stopped using the blackberry. With that I could type like a madman and still type well.

I had the stupid Pearl and it wasn't so bad with my small fingers. Nowadays I look at it and just think, damn that's a small keyboard. I can't imagine a normal sized adult bought those.

This phone is a battery beast. 3500 mah with a 660 and small display. 2-3 days of usage for me + 15h + sot ^^

The screen would have probably been more impressive if you increased fucking back light. Otherwise, way too much fabrication of drama about "Blackberry in 2018". Somebody might come to conclusion you're actually behind technology wise. Although everything you do tries to prove the opposite.

I bought this phone, have had it for 5 months so far, came from an iPhone 6s but always perfered android, I gotta say even though he doesn't recommend it, I love it, it all comes down to if you want the keyboard or not, the 660 in it ain't bad, runs all my games well like CSR2 and others. But I will say to only get it if you want the keyboard, I personally love it and that's what I got it for and I don't regret it one bit.

Shakeel Mohammed yeah! I saw that those are some minor issue we kinda not get more point into, it also has some nice, built quality,design and blackberry security patch and it still holding keys and some of the user still wanted it so why not blackberry again if someone has to do in 2018.

Dude, you are not using the keyboard to its full potential. When the word appears on the intuitive menu, swipe up. BB has the fastest typing method a phone has EVER offered. Try it. You will type at the speed of light. I miss that keyboard.

When I owned a BlackBerry pearl the world was a different place. Flashing lights by kanye was the track of the decade. I had no Bill's that kept my up at night. And staying up two nights in a row was not a big deal. With out charging the phone even once. Now I have Bill's that are hunting me down like mafia hitmen !! And I go to sleep at 830pm.
You don't HAVE to bring home all the Bill's you meet during the day though, that's on you buddy ;)

I loved my Blackberry above any other phone I've ever had. And I miss it. I'm all about the productivity and security so the camera is not something I'm concerned with. Definitely not a selfie, Snapchat sorta gal. Love this! 😍❤️❤️

Well, I'm a bit older (14), but I knew what Blackberry phones were when I started elementary school. My mom used to get these magazines which had phones in them, and I was pretty interested in it. So, there were a lot of Blackberry phones, and I made cardboard cutouts of them since we wouldn't buy them lol

I never had a Blackberry, but man - I like that one(not including the size of the display. Not that it is that small). Love the physical keyboard.
if you ever get to try a demo unit. just press the keys on the keyboard. Blackberry has one of the most satisfying physical keyboard out there. it clicks to perfection haha!

I'm still using my key2 in 2021. After 2.5 years the phone hasn't slowed down in the slightest and the battery still lasts a long time. I can type a text quickly without even glancing at the keyboard. Emails are a breeze. The keyboard is capacitive and I use it to scroll. I have dropped the phone countless times, accidentally kicked it across the driveway, and gotten it wet with no issues. Keep pecking away at your glass slab, I'm gonna hang onto this key2 for as long as I can.

Real keyboards on mobile devices suck. I am personally just as fast typing on a full desktop keyboard as I am on a phones touchscreen keyboard.

Very much a worthy successor to the KeyOne, although I do think the KeyOne looked slightly better. And that keyboard scrolling feature is SO nice. You can finally use the phone without smudging up the screen.

I've been using a PRIV for a couple years now and other than some overheating issues, I don't see me upgrading unless it's to a Key2

Physical buttons are a thing that is missing at time, whenever I am using a console I sometimes find myself reaching for the keyboard and remember it is not there. Buttons Matter!!!
