I agree with you, Michael. I just don't understand the hate against Nokia lately. Personally, Nokia is getting better and better thanks to this Android One powered smartphones. I find them better than Motorola now because they dropped the ball so much thanks to Lenovo...

I think it's mostly just misinformation and people not understanding where HMD is actually from. They mostly think it'll be a Chinese brand when they see a new brand being acquired, I think it's mostly because Chinese brand have been acquiring a lot fo western brands lately. But yeah, Nokia is pretty good actually, they comes up with great device and arguably the most durable devices in the market, i think what they needed was a design flair that make then stand out and i think from this device they are finding it.

It looks really good, but i don't think it looks like Pixel 2 though. Maybe you meant the software part then i yeah you are right, the software experience does look similar to a pixel. In simple words it's almost like a Pixel 2 software sunning on a Galaxy device. the phone is gorgeous but a bit too pricey for what it is though, if Nokia priced it a bit more aggressively then i thing this would've been a great option for a lot of people.

I disagree. I think the Nokia 8S was the most interesting device. Perfect aspect ratio, top-notch camera, stunning design, OZO audio, wireless charging, etc. It has it all!

THE 38 DUDE My main problem with Chinese phones are the skin they run on top of Android. Xiaomi's MIUI is the worst example. They're so heavily skinned that I'm actually surprised they're allowed to pass their phones as Android phones.

Nokia FOR LIFE. Owned a N8, N97, N73, N9, 808, Lumia 1520. Using 950 XL now. Been patiently waiting for their comeback.

There's rumours of a camera-focused Nokia flagship coming in the second half of 2018 with a penta-lens camera setup. Sounds promising.
That does sound promising, plus it's clear from the software side of things that they're starting to focus on the camera experience again.
I used to like the glass sandwich design back when it was uncommon. I always loved the iPhone 4 / 4s design for example as it really stood out in it's day but now it's everywhere, on nearly every flagship with that same curved design, I too am sick of it.

Believe me Nokia do provide faster Security and Android updates. That's been same with Nokia 3,5,6 and 8.
I hope they would launch Nokia 9 with SD 845.
End User leaked nokia 9 was nokia 8 sirocco... nokia will release later this year "nokia 10" it will probably be called nokia 8 pro and it has penta camera setup and snapdragon 845

Nokia is the only thing keeping me on Android. The Nokia 6 I have from last year is an overall good solid device. Very well built and solid.
Still has fairly good performance with all the apps I have on it.
I wont take Nokia seriously until they stop using Android as an OS.

Nokia 8 sirocco has the front bezels of note 8 and screen has 81.2% screen to body ratio so I don't know how so many people and reviewers consider it as old design. I know that it has 16:9 ratio but nokia did well with screen to body ratio like what Huawei had did with mate 10 before which was better-looked than his brother mate 10 pro . People must be happy with this ratio because most off apps and videos are supported and the screen provides the same experience of thin bezels like note 8 without resorting to notch . The phone is really amazing and its performance is very snappy like all flagships of 2018 despite of having snapdragon 835 but nokia did a great combination to give you the best performance believe me and nokia did that because Android one program didn't support 845 chipset. People should know that numbers aren't every thing . I remember Xperia xz sony's flagship of 2016 had 3 gb ram but it was too fast and we also see pixel phones don't have the best hardware numbers and has single camera but they are the best in field of performance and photography.

Anesu C Not anymore. That slogan is for Android Go now. Android One has now become cheap phones with Pixel-like software experience so basically it's for people who want something from Google without sending too much.

Really upset this doesn't have a Snapdragon 845, because it would have been able to have limited to massive success in the US, if it did. Also, it's not a brick like most modern phones and has a really nice form factor, while still maintaining a large screen for those that appreciate that.
Definitely would not have done well here in the States. Samsung donniates here and I honestly don't think the phone would have had much carrier support

Jonard Villaruel the Snapdragon 845 has the most advanced modem to date. T-Mobile is a network in the USA that has been taking advantage of all this tech. They also started making use of a new bit of spectrum on Band 71.
So in short to get access to all the coverage and speed, consumers must buy a phone with that chipset inside with just two exceptions

Thats not really the case in Finland since Sirocco is 699 euros and S9 is 899 euros. So here it is worth the money

Respect to your video, Nokia 8 sirocco is kind of a business class smartphone. And it looks amazing in my opinion. Good wide screen for gaming and educational purposes as well. Apart from that typing is easier for businessmen. I have been using my XZ Premium with SD835 and it's super fast. So it's no big deal. I really appreciate your video.
