I read that Gerard wrote a track or two for the soundtrack. Seems unlikely that MCR will be featured. I think Way wants to distance this project from his past success.
Don’t count on it. Although, it’s common knowledge now for a long time he distanced his work with his comics from his work with MCR. Let the Netflix show stand on its own for a while. We might get lucky with some songs being written by Gerard and Ray together but I don’t think you should expect anything greater.
Like just for a second forget about his hair and just look only at his face. Like he doesn't have any age lines? He still looks young somehow?? The hair and the mustache just distracts you from that, but I am still convinced that he is a vampire

The age old question: Should a person who never read any of the comics or really know anything about them, read them first, or wait and watch the series with no knowledge? All suggestions welcome.
From what i understand, the series is made for both kinds of people. I'm 100% sure you won't need to read them to start watching. However, as someone who has read them, i couldn't recommend them enough. The story is facinating, and i'm sure the show will adapt some things as they are written, will add new things and maybe take out some. But give them a go if you have time, there really aren't that many, it's around 12 issues in total (and new ones are coming out).
I honestly think he’s trying to downplay his looks since he was constantly swooned over and was this mega lusted after godlike performer to some- I doubt he realizes people will always go apeshit over him- just for who he his and what he’s done. He can grow his beard, hair, and nails to the ground and wear a tutu and people will still swoon
