Chris Botti plays so smooth and sounds so beautiful. He doesn't blare high notes like Maynard Ferguson, but he has his own amazing and unique style. Definitely should have young trumpet players listen to him
This is the most beautiful anthem I've ever heard! It chokes me up every time, and I'm Canadian! XD Deepest respect to you and your country, Americans.
See Chris, how your music moves people and makes them cry. The National Anthem can move you when performed beautifully, but this is Chris Botti. Incredible. Please come to Alaska!!
Absolutely the most heartfelt and emotionally invoking performance of this piece I have ever heard. It was amazing to hear him carry the high E at the end beautifully, very fitting with the accompanying piano part; had me in tears. He has my vote to play it again at the Super Bowl as well.
One of the most beautiful renditions I've ever heard -- and what a Sweet Trumpet! Some trumpet players sound shrill, but this is mellow and smooth. GREAT JOB!
2021 still my favorite by Chris B So happy and blessed to be a child of God, and to share in Love with all of you no matter where your at today. Blessings to all my brothers/sisters - we are all children of God ❤️
I hope they'll invite him to play at the Super Bowl. I knew the moment it started that it was something special. I think it fit perfectly being played in New York. Made me think of Taxi Driver and New York State of Mind. I can certainly see how it would make someone emotional, I was practically experiencing it myself. I don't remember ANYONE crying when Christina Aguilera did it! I don't get why they can't just have the local symphony or choir do it. There'd be much less controversy that way.
TheTomatoKing For the Anthem or Halftime? I've never liked her. It's almost like she thinks we'll accept her dumb music if we see her dress in goofy 50s clothes.
Chilling! My favorite Trumpeter! I spread his voice around with gifts of his recordings. Thank you. The best ever heard from an opening night National Anthem. Thank you. No one could do it better.
What has the world come to? Why can't we all just respect the flag and have every rendition played like this? For every sport. That was absolutely perfect.
Whoever said, on another page of this performance, that Reggie Wayne was crying because he was at the end of his career does not have the ears to hear what is being played here... Charis
I think this was amazing-- I still believe only women and Marc Anthony should be allowed to sing the national anthem. His was unbelievable during the Miami/Dallas NBA Finals.
I don't know much about musical instruments, but if there's one thing I'm certain of is that it takes lots of skill to hit the notes he hit on that trumpet
Drew Nelson it's only an E over C it really isn't that high you guys. Most people that pursue music are supposed to have a comfortable E in their senior year of high school
I have always preferred the up-tempo version of this song. The slow ones where, more often than not, someone is trying to show off their voice, are far less appealing - at least to me.. Besides which, it’s a song about war and fighting. There are times I think it should be played almost as if it was a waltz. Or maybe it’s just the fact that I wish the game would start. Well, somebody has now changed my mind, at least in one instance. What I find interesting is the fact that my preferred performances really address the lyrics, which is where the words sound like they are a history book being brought to life. If you click on this link will get to hear that, probably for the first and only time, someone figured out how to turn it into a love song. Maybe part of the secret is being “lyricless.”
I feel, the only reason this felt odd to most listeners, is because the accompaniment was playing a typical part. It just seemed to contrast the trumpet line too much. I think solo would have been better personally. But whatever, amazing performance.
you have to be careful with that has a one year low of this year old and I have were30th and high school students in my experience of this year old and I have were30th and high
This is how to do the anthem, everyone today disrespects the anthem by singing it like trash. Now we even play the Canada anthem and other bullshit. Such disrespect to our country and our past soldiers and soldiers of today.
Stupid commentators talk about “that shot of Reggie Wayne” and blew past the magnificent rendition of a great song! Shame on those guys! Go home and learn how to whistle it!
I'm in the military and I have heard a lot of National Anthems and this one tops the cakes. Well done Chris, Well done.
Nah, Arturo Sandoval's version kills this.
Reggie Wayne had a great reason to cry. Amazing performance by Chris Botti.
I will never forget seeing that on tv live. INCREDIBLE and sets the standard!
That was the most unreal performance of the national anthem that I have ever seen....beautiful
Chris Botti plays so smooth and sounds so beautiful. He doesn't blare high notes like Maynard Ferguson, but he has his own amazing and unique style. Definitely should have young trumpet players listen to him
+ThePizzafication He's weak as water. He's playing to capacity here. He's a favorite about housewives. Are you a house wife?
ec1460 are you triggered
Maynard is the goat tho
I was at the game, and a lot of fans around me were moved by this performance. I thought it was awesome.
This is the most beautiful anthem I've ever heard! It chokes me up every time, and I'm Canadian! XD Deepest respect to you and your country, Americans.

thank you for making the TV volume an even 50. That was gonna bug me.
TomCook1993 LOL
Greatest national anthem of all time.

You haven't seen Bobby Yang's rendition on MFN have you Mr. Bush?
How's that war on terror working out ?
Ryan C ~ That was good !! (*_~) //////////////////////////
One of the most beautiful renditions I've ever heard -- and what a Sweet Trumpet! Some trumpet players sound shrill, but this is mellow and smooth. GREAT JOB!
This was amazing. I dont think anyone has ever been moved by such an awesome rendition of our National Anthem. Right in the feels man
It's a..CLASSY job....he had me crying once too when he played "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen Live in Toronto, Canada.
Outstanding performance. The entire stadium was silenced and in awe.
2021 still my favorite by Chris B

And we get Katy Perry.... WHYYY!
TheTomatoKing For the Anthem or Halftime? I've never liked her. It's almost like she thinks we'll accept her dumb music if we see her dress in goofy 50s clothes.
Kevin P I believe she is performing at half-time, so we still have a chance for the anthem.
TheTomatoKing I vote someone like Diana Krall.
All quiet in that big house except for that smooth horn. Some performances just leave their mark. It's surely one of those
Beattifully played! I've known of Chris Botti for a long time but this is the first time I've seen him perform in person! Very nice.
Beautiful, simple arrangement.
Chilling! My favorite Trumpeter! I spread his voice around with gifts of his recordings. Thank you. The best ever heard from an opening night National Anthem. Thank you. No one could do it better.
Got to love Reggie. Amazing performance. If only he could do every prime time national anthem
The best song ever performed by the best artist ever🇺🇸
What a rendition! Smooth as silk and patriotic- makes you remember what being an American is all about. Thanks Chris Botti.
The U.S. anthem have one of the best melodies in the world, and this performance prove it. Hope it won't be the last.
That was great.
Anyone who doesn't like it is plain JEALOUS.
Watched this live. Freakin awesom job. Go Colts
My favorite rendition and performance of the national anthem
Reggie Wayne doing his best Knowshon Moreno impersonation
Wouldnt want to live anywhere else but the US, this is so moving
Beautiful and plaintive.
Best national anthem ever
Most definitely my favorite version...
What has the world come to? Why can't we all just respect the flag and have every rendition played like this? For every sport. That was absolutely perfect.
I'd rather have this rendition played than any other hands down. Loved it
Omg dat was soo beautiful
Whoever said, on another page of this performance, that Reggie Wayne was crying because he was at the end of his career does not have the ears to hear what is being played here... Charis
Stirring the soul is the way to go!
Thx for posting!
Beautiful.
a touch of american class
1:35 I feel you Reggie.... I feel you man.
Beyond awesome!

So incredibly beautiful
That's the way it should be done sense people can't seem to sing it right.
WOW.
Great!
Angelic
Vaya interpretación
tan bella !!
OMG HOW does he play that last note 😱
Flat. He plays it flat.
The rest of the performance was so, so beautiful, though.
Well you gotta give him some leeway given that range I guess lol
Drew Nelson it's only an E over C it really isn't that high you guys. Most people that pursue music are supposed to have a comfortable E in their senior year of high school
jhssuthrnmama it's the 3rd of the chord. It's supposed to be flat.
Tyler Gregory I have that sophomore year so is that really the standard?
beautiful fluffy tone

I know I should be a shame of myself when I say I just learn about this artist . He is bad and I do me good.
I prefer that it be played as written with no embellishments. Also people especially ball players should be taught to repect the flag and the anthem.
Beautiful
0:01 Chris Boaty
I feel, the only reason this felt odd to most listeners, is because the accompaniment was playing a typical part. It just seemed to contrast the trumpet line too much. I think solo would have been better personally. But whatever, amazing performance.
Wow really nice
Hope all is well
AS GOOD AS IT GETS>>>YES I'M SHOUTING!!
Please have him or Jesse McGuire play at Super Bowl 50!!!
Not all vocals are terrible, Remember Renee Fleming at the last super bowl.
22 people need to be shipped to Aleppo.
the NFL forgot ..how to love this country
Elisha Manning looks cute and handsome my bf
32 dislikes they have no soul
The guys beard at 0:45 looks so gross XD clean shaven for me thank you very much
Looks pre recorded but if it's his recording it's nice .
you have to be careful with that has a one year low of this year old and I have were30th and high school students in my experience of this year old and I have were30th and high
wtf

Arturo Sandoval was better.
I agree 100%
Better? Maybe. Botti's version is more moving.
Arturo did it better
How boring. Check out Arturo Sandoval for how it's played by a real trumpet player.
Just two very different styles... both very real trumpet players, both worldclass musicians.
And you're saying that Chris Botti isn't a real trumpet player? Shame on you...
sounds like its more about "chris" style and his faithful followers than honoring flag ...the whole stadium cant sing along with him.
