There is an enormous lack of humility in the world today. Without humility nothing and no one will change

I think its also useful instead of just saying,"don't lie", tell them a warning, something like, "when you lie, your going to regret doing it, not because IM gonna do anything to you, but because its going to make you sad internally. But when you tell the truth, you feel as if a weight has been lifted off of your shoulders."

We are sinners saved by grace. We are deeply flawed. This is why the Sacrament of Confession is so powerful. We come to Jesus broken and contrite and we receive through grace Gods forgiveness and mercy. By receiving the Eucharist we come into communion with Jesus Christ and we are made holy. These religious practices deal with our sinfulness - our tendency to lie and sin and not do the good. The Catholic Church exists to help us to become holy, to be sanctified and ultimately glorified with Christ Jesus in heaven. It doesn’t work to tell people don’t lie. We are far too broken for that and need more than willpower to change. Through every Mass we receive forgiveness to walk in Gods grace ❤

Making a list of all your bad habits is the easy part. The hard part is executing change. It's like the folks that make a New Year's resolution to get fit and then stop going to the gym by the second week of January.

What a sophist, he conflates having discipline with being religious... and not even religious in general, but specifically judeo-christian out of the thousands out there. How so many people have been fooled into thinking this guy is a serious intellectual is beyond me

@@sunflare8798 The Koine Greek word is Mathetes. Pythagoras coined the term Philosophy and the phrase Philosophy School. Gr. Schole means Leisure and Gr. Schola means Club House. Pythagoreans divided their philosophy clubs into Mathematikoi (later shortened to Mathetes in Koine Greek) and Akousmatikoi (Hearers). That's why Jesus ends his parables with "Let those with ears to hear, hear." Jesus is talking to the Akousmatikoi, the hearers. Today in universities we still have "auditors" (as in Auditory). English borrows from the Latin translations.

@@scottmcloughlin4371 Koine greek was developed during hellenism, centuries after Pythagoras who spoke doric greek. As I said, Peterson's followers, like their master, seek the appearance of education, not education itself. Reading wikipedia won't help you with a true educated person

That is not conversion. That is not God's conversion and that he didn't get pick up on it, shows the other one hasn't had a conversion either from Lord Jesus Christ and that is concerning. Particularly with the name of the video. Its a lot more honest and genuine to say I don't know, I haven't had one. What gets to me, when Lord Jesus Christ converts someone, and they are persecuted, particularly when he had chosen them to teach and share what God's conversion and an invitation to be converted. The ones that do persecute, are covering up the fact they have not been converted.

Mr Peterson referred to the decalogue, yet he frequently takes the Lord's name in vain. No doubt he explains it away. Although I am a fan this drives me crazy. I've left many comments, but he probably never sees them since he probably delegates that to someone else. Since he is a hero to so many, the repeated disrespect to the 2nd Commandment is a serious matter. Seems that no one has the gumption to address him on it.

I want to understand. 1st, how do you understand/define “taking the Lord’s name in vain?” I myself am sorting out what that means, whether just not cursing using God’s name or not making promises/vows in God’s name.
2nd, the 2nd Commandment of the 10 commandments given in Exodus. I know the 2nd commandment is to not make idols, images of anything in heaven, on earth, in heaven water, or under the earth, to not bow down to any idol or worship it. Is this the same commandment you are referring to, saying that Mr. Peterson is disrespecting it repeatedly?

This is the 79th ad Jordan pushed on me on May 16
Jordan needs to address as part of a disciplinary probation order, a period of suspension may be imposed prior to the effective date of the probation. The Board's Disciplinary Guidelines provide details of the conditions under which a suspension may be made a part of the probation order. During suspension, licensees may not practice psychology or refer to themselves as psychologists. As indicated above in "Probation," suspensions are considered disciplinary actions associated with probation orders and, as such, are public information and provided to consumers upon request.
Jordan is a Frasier Crane wannabe. He is an entertainer not a psychologist. Because he sells books and videos and lectures, THAT IS NOT THERAPY. He needs to address his bad conduct in courts in the case of Case 1 Sordi v. Sordi, 2009 CanLII 80104 (ON SC) he defamed a parent in court. In the case 2 R. v. Pearce, 2012 MBQB 22 (CanLII) he tried to free a murderer. Then in the case Peterson v. College of Psychologists of Ontario, 2023 ONSC 4685, he tried to avoid taking responsibility. He also tried to interfere in a family court case in Montana, the Kolstadt case, where there was a GAG order, he unprofessionally diagnosed a minor without interviews or assessments, and tried to defend unfit parents.
