Just finished latest installment, of this famous Fury project. Thought it would be fun, to revisit, the OG episode. She's come a long way, eh. R.I.P. Stella
My God, the work you did Scott. Thanks for taking me along for the ride.... This was the best, most complex restoration series I've ever seen.. Take a bow, you've earned it.
Scott, I had to go back and watch this video. Wowser.....what a long great way she has come. Then there is the great appearance and memory of Stella dog......:)
Fabulous! I think back to how the new owner would have been estatic picking this new car up originally at the dealership....and all these decades later you showing the same excitement as you become the new owner and handed the keys.
Just watched the video of you giving the owner's daughter and grandson a ride in the finished Fury. When I saw you showing the front of the car here my mouth dropped open. What an accomplishment! To tackle a project like this! Sure there are those who might start but you finished and it's a beauty. Impressive to say the least.
..amazing how far this car has come in 5 years...and how much better the video quality is now, too..this one made me dizzy with all the jerkiness and random panning around..made me think I was watching NYPD Blue..😆...this car looks so much younger now than it did 5 years ago!...the owner?...well....😲
This car is worthy of your boundless talents .It'll be epic when you're done .I'll be watching with great anticipation of the progress. Thanks for sharing.
Right? For many years you couldn't give one of these Furys away... They went out of style almost instantly and stayed that way until they were virtually all gone. They look amazing now, even if we have to admit they are kind of "over the top", haha... Cheers!
So I just rewatched this episode and I am shocked how bad this car was! And to see the impeccable condition it’s in now, truly shows your skill! And patience
Hey Scott, you and the agents are so good together, I mean you’re the best. I’m watching and trying to catch up on your travels which is a trip back in time my friend. !!
@@dsloop3907 Yes. The last of the exterior SS trim is on, right rear side trim to go on, carpets and then seats. Oh, and squillions of small details to fix......
Its february 2019 and the fury is almost done and magnificent. Im back here to remind myself of how bad it was at the start, sort of a sentimental journey. If you want to see a near unparalled feat of craftsmanship, watch every episode. Scott and friends would laugh hysterically at this but its spiritually uplifting to watch this car brought back .
This project is now back in one piece and you are getting ready to spray the paint....I returned to see this video and you made that comment , one maybe 2 donor cars ............awesome job to save this car . ...road kill cut a buick out of the bush and chickened out , they need to check out your channel and this project ...........Keep 'em coming !!!!!!
From the moment I started watching this vid I thought you would use it for parts. But what you said was different. And when you bought the red fourdoor sedan I coulden't for the life of me understand your plan, Scott. What yoy did was not short of a miracle.. you sliced both cars horisontaly and fitted them together as one. I have been following you and the rest of the agents for years and you still surprise me. Unavailiable parts you make, you solve technical and mecanical problems, even electric challenge you solve like no one else I know. We live far away from each other Scott, but I wish we knew each other. I'm kind of like you, but I'm no good shaping metal. I'm a mecanical engeneer. I was for three decades. Now I'm retired. I wish you and the agents all the best. Take it easy on the weed..
My oldest sister got married in 1961 and her husband had one of these. It was red/white and being five yrs old at the time I thought it was the coolest thing on the road at the time because it looked so different from everything else. It had those outrageous tail fins, cool speedo, oval steering wheel with the rear view mirror mounted on the dash. With twin rear antennas and dual exhaust it made my dads 1956 Dodge station wagon look drab, plus the fact whenever I went some place with my sister and brother in law he liked to put his foot in it. Sadly they traded it in on a new 1963 Nova wagon when my sister got pregnant.
Wow. I am all for saving a classic and a rare car, but... just... wow... most people would run screaming the other way, in this case I would say Im probably one of them. Good luck with this one guys.
Watching this a second time as the rebuilt car is going into final paint in January 2020 its good to see where the story started and how the predictions made towards the end of this video have been carried out in reality. Great job.
Im a bowtie till I die kinda guy, 20 or 30 years ago you couldn't give me this car.But dude it is cool as shit now !! Watching a car that was sitting in its forever grave, and a few hour's later she's rolling off a truck and into a new place... Alway's blow's my mind.Do you believe in fate?Even for an old car? Crazy cool !!
I'm seeing it ready for paint, and now finally found the day you brought it home.Wow. Whomever is starting here...wait for the journey ! It's well worth all you do.You,Sir,are an Artist !
My dad purchased the same model in 1968 only 8 years old then, it was baby blue and white, it had push button gears, oval steering wheel and the fastback HUGE back window, one of my favorite family cars, thanks for saving this diamond in the rough... Sweet!
Looks like it has landed from Mars.... ground control to major Tom.....take your keys and see if the Fury's gone Commencing count down, but engines gone Check ignition and may the mopar gods be with you This gorund control to major Tom You've really made the grade, We are stepping in the horse manure and we are floating in it in a most peculiar way Here we are sitting in a rusty tin can It was once blue and there is plenty of rust repair to do...... Although she has passed 100,000 miles but i think we this Fury Space ship knows which way to go................I am jealous.
Hey, thanks for the note! Yeah, these 1960 models are really crazy... hard to believe they ever made cars like this when we look at it from today's perspective of inoffensive little safety-blobs shamefully scuttling around... this thing looks like a shark out to feast on lesser forms of transport! All the best with your collection, too... cheers!
That Sir is a epic find, can you imagine this car restored and with a awesome paint job, would take first prize at any car show hands down . I for one will be following this restoration from beginning to end ! Good luck !!
Agreed; We are lucky there used to be a time when men with vision designed cars instead of a room full of accountants, marketing committees, focus groups, lawyers, etc. Imagine trying to sell a design like this today? You'd be getting some blank stares for sure... Probably an appointment with some HR hack, too... "Clean out your desk, Mr Exner..." Haha cheers.
Seeing this video again reminds me of the incredible journey you've taken this Fury to becoming quite possibly the most beautiful Plymouth in all of Canada. I've followed this all the way from getting her home, the splices, the fabbing of body panels you could never buy all the way to putting on the Fury emblems back on the fenders and getting the rear diff fixed. This car is THE crown jewel of your collection.
Hi Scott. I'm just starting to rewatch this Fury project for the second time. And I had forgotten how bad the start of it really was. Just getting at it so you could get wheels on it and to get it to the place where the video with the winching starts...man. And the fact that you even contemplated this build after you had looked it over closer, seeing that you knew (in contrast to a clueless enthusiast) what it would take just in rust repair alone to restore this massive land yacht. And after that you of course knew you had all the mechanicals and interior to restore (a thousand hour job as you put it in the video...). To top it all off you had no illusions from the start what all this would cost before it was finished. It's very impressive that you started this (some would say slightly mad, lol) is what I'm saying... Looking forward to watch the journey again.
Fun to revisit this episode, after watching all the sliding and dicing, for the last few weeks. Saw a pristine example, at the Daytona Turkey Rod Run today.
Right? Just a crazy car that hardly looks real to today's eyes... I'll be sourcing a parts / donor car while I try to finish a few ongoing projects here! Cheers...

Right up there with the restoration of the Cistine Chapel, Leaning Tower of Piza, or the Parthenon.
This came up in my feed after this weeks video. The resto is astounding!
Knowing what this car looks like now..what an amazing job you’ve done. Thanks for saving the old girl and taking us along for the ride.

Rare car, great save. Competitor to the 1960 Ford Starliner and Chevrolet Impala!
I'm glad you're pulling out all the stops on this one.
A car this outrageous just has to be saved.
Suddenly, it really IS 1960.
hahaha, thumbs up on the suddenly thing. i don't see many people knowing about that.
Sean Fulton l'm just happy someone got it! Enjoy your day, Sir.

The joke when these came out was "Suddenly it's 1957" since fins were already out of style.

Pretty neat to look back on this video. Big credit for doing everything you said.
This is my all-time favorite car project on RUclips. I just can't say it enough. I was happy to become a Patreon after this project started.
Thanks Greg! I'm still working on the Fury every day here, slowly getting the shiny bits back on! Cheers from me and Frankers...
Never seen someone so excited for so much work.. However, 5 years later, it will be beautiful!
Considering its now in paint and running I'd forgotten how incredibly rough this thing was...
You have indeed worked wonders
it's interesting to see how far this car came, Scott did a fantastic job bringing it back to life.

Mission accomplished Scott! The transformation is simply incredible. This car deserved the level of attention that you gave her.
