It's been so long, having to listen to this made me remember how grand and huge Tower of God really is.
The female "sibling" isn't really a sibling of Joaquin. More like a physical amalgamation of the souls Joaquin murdered
Which makes me wonder who is Hoaquin’s last sibling. It was never revealed but if I remember correctly, there was a flashback scene where the whole bunch was together.

Plus, when she was introduced Albeda said, “The billions of victims you[white] made...and their vengeful spirits...formed who I am, your[white’s] new ‘clone’.” She didn’t say anything about being Hoaquin’s sibling

Wow, to think that Tower of God is now 10 years old now, I just finished reading season 2 then saw this video in my feed, I saw that chapter 1 was released around 2014.. I like the story of the characters and their personalities but man the setting/environments in the tower itself is not that great. The return of the anime seems to have gotten many curious to check it out
Wow I didn’t notice at first but I’m started to like the Sius season 1 drawing style while it isn’t as refined as the recent style it gives more if a dark feeling and a different theme overall
I noticed that as well, first season's are give the feel of darkness and mystery while the later seasons art gives of the feel of thing being open and clear since the more things about the start are getting reveled.

My favorite powerup Bam got was at the end of the hell train where he made a vow of sorts, "I am me" as he draws a line. I loved that moment so much because it really feels like Bam is accepting who he is whatever that may and up being as he learns more. Accepting yourself when you have relied so heavily on others to affirm who you are was in my eyes Bam's height. Here he went from the friend of my friends, the savior of FUG and whatever else tool for revenge of the souls of white comes to mind he puts all of that aside and declares I am me
That's so op and when it gets animated it will be one of the top moments of all anime
I don't think that Bam actually won against young Zahard, more like Zahard simply resign because he wanted an "adventure" again (if I remember it correctly). This is actually one of the most painful cliffhangers in TOG in my opinion, they were right about reaching the climax of the battle and I would really like to know what would happen if they kept fighting.
I can't wait for Sunday that's when Tower of God releases where I am I'm so hyped!!

I started reading Tower of God in 2020 and got to chapter 250 or so. Then for some reasons I got tired, not because I wasn't enjoying it anymore but because I struggle to keep going forward with such long stories, I feel overwhelmed and my passion to read goes all away. The amount of regret I felt every now and then, but especially recentely with the news of season 2 of the anime coming out soon is indescribable. Quite some time has passed since I dropped the story, which means most of the details are gone from my memory. That led me to think that if I ever wanted to resume it, I had to start all over again and that overwhelming feeling came back all at once. The thing is that deep in my heart I know it is totally worth the time and effort, I loved the beginning of the story so much and I miss seeing all those characters. So I decided it's time for me to enjoy the ride once again from the 1st chapter (no recap needed), and this time for good hopefully.
I'm so sorry for this endless comment, I just wanted to express how I've been feeling lately.
I read ToG a few times and it’s amazing. I’m pretty sure I didn’t miss anything, but the last time I remember seeing Rachel in a panel was whenever she was being granted wishes... I didn’t see anything that showed what she wished for... I just have a feeling our mutual hate for Rachel is just beginning

Thank you I needed this.. I read it last summer after the anime and caught up, but forgot what happened due to SIU going on hiatus with his health concerns. All I remember was the train, that one OP guy who doesn't care about the tower and the red hair guide. Oh and the white hair dude he teamed up with who wasn't at full power. Since he is back.. I can finally read it again

Great Video! The only thing I saw that he got wrong was when he said White killed millions to become so powerful. In the webcomic White says that he killed and ate about 2 BILLION souls to become the Slayer.

So one thing I have wondered is, since the first battle with Kalavan, when BAAM absorbed the Black March, did he keep the power of the Black March absorbed within him? I’m glad that you cleared that up. I remember that when Yuri used the power of the Black March and Green April together, the spirits of the swords said something about waiting for the day when the chosen one absorbs the power of all the swords or something along those lines… 🤔
I feel like Rachel’s 3 wishes will be the biggest mystery in the story because of how much of an impact this could have later on. As we know, Rachel doesn’t just want power, she wants specifically to become the chosen and fulfill the prophecy which is Baams destiny, she also doesn’t just want to climb the tower and “reach the stars”, she wants to literally become “a star” which was mentioned early on in the story. Because of this I think it is possible she wishes to become a Jahad Princess, since as we have seen from the first chapter, she has always been jealous of other princesses like Endorsi or Anaak… she has also been shown to be afraid of putting her own life on the line for whatever she wants, so she could potentially request some form of immortality or revival method like what she had in the testing floor. So the three wishes I think will be 1. Become a princess, 2. Immortality or revival method, and 3. A group of loyal followers or slaves. Whatever her wishes are I feel like it’ll be one of the big story twists later on and have a huge impact on the story. Whatever it may be it will help her achieve her goals of chasing after Bam and taking his spot in the prophesy.
Yeah, no. Rachel hates Jahad more than FUG. She wants to be the one to kill Jahad, not Baam, that's why she didn't want him to climb the tower or follow her and wanted it to be HER destiny to be the one to do it. If she becomes a princess, she cannot harm him in any way as it will bind her to the rules of the tower. I think her wishes is; power, beauty and something else - maybe her own thorn. Power = She is jealous of Baam's gifts. Beauty = Hidden floor, she chose a beautiful elf like woman as an avatar and wanted to leave the floor as her new persona. The Thorn = She has already proven she wants one for herself, but this can be just her thirst for power and to not feel "useless". I think the third one is the tricky one, because it could literally be anything - but it will probably have something to do with Jahad, a weapon or something.
5:00 Bam’s mentor purchases Elain because Bam asked him to as a favor in order to end her massive debt she owes to her family for a mistake she made thousands of years ago(this was her motivation for ruling the station for thousands of years)
white is one of the most brutal characters in the entire series he practically made two countries wage war for hundreds of years and thwarted any attempt at peace later he ended up killing everyone making his kill count well over 14 billion or so

the thing i absolutely love about tower of god is how it is not something you can climb on your own and you need to rely on the help of others while also needing to be able to be selfish when the time comes to further your own goals and survive. theres always someone with strength that towers so much over others (like white) that you cant choose to not team up with them even if their goals couldnt be further apart. everyone uses everyone and you cant achieve your own goals if you dont get what you need from helping out your enemies. i love tower of god so much

can't wait for season 4... I started reading this masterpiece in 2014 and with each new season, the story and the art just kept on getting better and better... only this webtoon had a decent anime adaptation compared to its other counterparts...

This is very helpful since now I don't have to reread anything. Something you missed that I thought was interesting was the speaking sword/dagger that Wangnan got at the end of the Hidden Floor Arc that told him to kill someone.
Probably kill Baam. Jahad said he wants to control fate and destiny now. I think he knew about the future, made the prince and planted the dagger for this specific reason.
@@Allexstrasza Weird that I got the notification after almost a year, but I don't think it would be someone like Bam since if I remember correctly he didn't even hesitate to accept the offer/ didn't say anything or show any emotion like he would if he was going to kill someone who used to be his friend.
@@aw3someisme469 I remember it differently and we actually didn't see his reaction to the request, because it switched to another scene as a "cliffhanger". All we saw was that he had the dagger afterwards. But you're right in the fact that it was an easy acceptance, and a question of whether the dagger is worth/powerful enough for him to get to his goal and kill Jahad and become the king himself. But, it could also be because he didn't know that Baam is the target yet as they didn't specifically say so at the time. The dagger only said, "Kill one person for me" or something in the lines of that
after the long break I lost the motivation to read the new chapters, but after watching your recap I hope to catch up soon

my hate of kallavan doesn't stem from his power scaling it is just a natural reaction to his character as a whole. SIU somehow created the most irredeemable and valueless character ever and decided to put him into the tower for some reason

He’s the typical “I fight for my king” guy lol, not like he murdered millions of people like White or just has a disgusting personality like Rachel. If anything I’m still waiting on Bam to make him submit to his power so he can join the good guys
I feel like you're missing out on his admirable traits. At the wall of peace, while the residents were disgracing Dowon's statue, he popped up out of hiding to personally throw them away and make them stop. His principle is that "heroes must be respected for they had sacrificed everything, even if that hero isn't on my side."
He is a man who abides by his principles and is willing to die on those hills. He is loyal to his subordinates which in turn makes them loyal to him, but he is also loyal to his higher-ups which made him conflicted when he was ordered to send his subordinates onto a suicide mission. And his hatred for Yasratcha for killing his crew trumps his fear of Bam rising as another power that would cause more conflict because he truly believes that peace can only be achieved by uniting everyone under only one power.
Kallavan is a man of principles, it's just that some principles take precedence over others. No one in this series so far holds onto their principles even more strongly than him and I feel that this part of his character should at least be respected.

It is a good review, finally caught up again in the story, it is quite incomplete though but it is concise and very detailed. Keep up.
What's really interesting to me is that Bam is able to take on Rankers now which they often think is impossible. It makes me wonder if the tests for ascending the Tower have gotten wattered down to the minimum necessary. Bam being strong enough to defeat even a single ranker before he is even half way up the tower breaks their system. If he is ever able to get his friends back together they could just speed blitz the tower floors.
Thank god you made this video. I read all of the first 2 seasons and took a break but never continued. Now it's been long enough that I need a refresher cuz I want to continue now that the series is coming off hiatus.

Then I read it but then the break was on and then when it was over I reread it and then the new chapters and remember now how the story is and who the characters are.
