There’s a ranking system on strength. The top of E class are even strong but I’d say very raw. B and C are even seen as very elite fighters and D and E are still very talented if you get into the top 10

I've been reading TOG since 2015, so Im at a point where I'm not even sure where the alternate translations begin and end. Does webtoon update the translations also? Like going to an old chapter 3 years after it's been published and changing the terms or names? Because sometimes I swear I thought something was referred to as something else at some point, but I go back and it's just the standard. 😅
yeah webtoon has never had a dedicated set of translators on any given series; they just toss it to whoever's available on their team. since the team is translating 100s of webtoons, most of them aren't familiar with the source material and translate things literally with a guide on common terminology for that given series. it causes there to be less quality checking and a _stupid amount_ of improvising, which is why we get whacky terms like 'flare wave explosion' and whatnot that doesn't exist in the actual text.

Agh. This is bringing back memories of how many fail at climbing at a certain point. I forgot how dark ToG could get until it showed the bird dead from poisoning. I forgot some of the characters (the medic/wave controller that poisoned the bird) were absolute psychopaths and that many of the tower inhabitants were pure evil.
Yes please more of Tower of God. Been waiting a long time for this and your videos will makes it a lot easier to understand instead of looking it up like I did last season.
I read all the webtoon till about the 350th chapter 5 years ago before the anime was even announced. It’s refreshing seeing it again, I forgot almost everything about TOG. I wish I could forget it all and start completely new, I love this series

Khun and rachel look practically identical and all the sidecast stay the same too. Not that I expect hard changes like Bam, but an indication more than Rachel taking off her hairtie might have solidified that idea. There should have been like a single line from Bam to the Prince about trying to raise thru floors, a line from the admin or something. Just one throwaway line could imply so much more than what was there.
I'm happy that S2 of the anime came out, because the manhwa translation on official English is so wack and not understandable, that it hurt my brain when I had to comprehend what they want to say. Adding your summaries to the anime is a perfect combo of fun and understanding of the plot and story. Keep up the good work!
As an anime viewer, I was just so confused as to why I had to learn these new set of characters and I felt that even thought the anime apparently didn't leave out too much, it felt like a tiny bit of monologue was left out which were needed to round out these characters It's been 7 episodes and I still feel like I need to trust the process and let the new characters develop themselves a bit. I think just as you said how this new season of climbing through the 20th floor is like us going through our 20s, nothing too remarkable as happened but we should just let things simmer and all these characters will come into fruition.
It's awesome that you're doing this again! I loved that you covered season 1 before, but this time I don't just appreciate it but need it, haha. I've been reading the manhwa for 9 years now and have only re-read season 1 and a few arcs in later season 2, so a lot of this information is a nice refresher. It seems like you also dig more into the blog posts and wiki too, something that I'm sure a lot of viewers will appreciate if they're unaware of those sources. I see snippets of information from the blog posts in comments on the chapters, but otherwise I miss out on a lot of that information. Great job putting these together!

The anime did a poor job answering so many questions we needed, thank you! I almost didn’t keep watching season 2 after the first episode because i was so confused. Its so nice to know what lighthouses, guides, etc. are as well 😂

I’ve read it and there are so many different characters and groups of characters that actually are important and they switch up constantly despite that fact, I love the love tower of God and I really hope they keep writing the story and keep animating the story. I hope we get the whole thing animated it’s quite long and I love it.
Oh yeah! Definitely keep these up for this show. The anime pacing leaves quite a bit to be desired. It’s like they are trying to confuse you or make you go read the source material. Lots of good stuff in this video connecting some dots without spoiling anything.
Yes, please, even though I’ve read most of what’s currently out!! but I want this anime/Manwa to get as much love as possible. It’s one of my favorites.
It follows the change in art "style" in the webtoons. To he honest, S1's "style" isn't really an artistic choice, it's just that the author (SIU) is really, really, really young (like pre-teen or early teens) at the time which is why ToG's visuals was a bit janky earlier. His art improved a lot later on.
I love the perspective shift from season 1’s high class regulars to season 2’s middle class. When watching season 1, you don’t really grasp just how powerful these characters are compared to the rest in the tower because the story is viewed from their perspective. But in season 2, you get characters like Robdevil who reference Hatz as a god-like enemy
I hope season two gets to a good amount of stuff the man covered before it ends. I don’t know how many episodes they’ve allotted for this season but there’s a lot of stuff coming up stuff and I just hope we get to see it.
For me every week when it feels like it's gone by what feels like 5 minutes I go like darn it because I'm looking forward to the next episode already 🤧
My biggest issue with ep. 3 was the cut bath scene content. While it's cool to get to the action. Tower of God is made great by it's character development and intrigue.
your original cut contents on the first season is what got me into the manwha to begin with, it would be great to see more for season two. I havent read this part of the manwha since the end of season one so i definitely forgot a lot of this by now.
