Thank you for this very clear and informative video. I have a specific question to ask; I would like to sync Alesis SR18 to Korg SQ1 in order to be able to dial the bpm. But I suspect there is no way, since SR18 is digital, no trig out sync and on the other end SQ1 has no MIDI in 😞
You can set it to have an octave range of 1, 2 or 5. However, all ranges start at C3 and go up from there. So unless you have a way of transposing your notes down on your instrument, you won't be able to do bass lines.
I actually don't. I run the TR-08 into a quadra thru that goes to my Reface CS, Arturia Keystep (controls my SE-02), and to my loop station for adding guitar and bass. The TR-08 is my main clock.

TS cable (3.5 mm / 1/8 inch).
i have a question so can we transposing sequencer with yamaha cs ?
No. sequencer notes can only be set by twisting the knobs. Quite annoying.
Try turning off MIDI Omni mode on the CS to avoid getting drum notes 😊
