  • An Oddly Specific, Short Tutorial on how to set the MIDI out channels on the Korg SQ-1. Plus, we look at a few other features available in the SQ-1's global parameter settings mode.

The Korg SQ-1 is a small, very simple, well made and extremely fun and capable sequencer. I have used it in a number of my videos, but one question I often get asked is: how do I connect this thing via MIDI and how do I set the MIDI out channels?
    Well, this is how!
If you have any other questions, go ahead! I'll try and help.

And if you have not already, please check out some more of my channel and if you like what you see and hear, please subscribe! It is always appreciated and is really helpful for a small, independent and genuinely low budget, self funded synth channel to be noticed in this sea of ever increasing well funded and, more or less, professional and unrealistic synth channels out there.
Regardless, I hope you found this helpful and hope to see you again.
    Cheers.

Thank you so much. Came with a bit of anger and stress, and now I feel calm and happy. The unmentioned resolution to higher than 16 notes is very good information. Love the SG1, it was y first sequencer and is still my favourite.

Good stuff! Excellent teaching and pleasant to listen to, unlike most youtubers who cater to the impatient by speaking too fast. The ambient music actually makes me more patient than I would otherwise be, too :) Subbed
