I love the face people make when they get a taste of something truly delicious. It cannot be faked. It's the best. Their faces when they took that first bite of the pork& rice. Made me want to try it & jealous I'm not there with you guys enjoying it. Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to run into you guys while visiting Japan.
I love how Satoshi wears his feelings on his face. He didn’t have to tell us he liked the Tonton….We knew it immediately. More videos please!! I love this channel.
Im not sure why but I found your channel years ago, lost it, then found it again this week! You two have such amazing energy, i'm at the edge of my seat during every bite awaiting the reaction.
That the miso katsu and tonton mabushi are delicious is written all over your faces.😊 Thank you both for this introduction to two more Nagoya specialties and to Kiharutei.❤️ ❤️
Your enthusiasm is so heartwarming. Each time we've been to Japan we've driven through Nagoya on the way to somewhere else. Now I really want to visit Nagoya and try some of these dishes. Thank you!
I just want to say thank you guys for expanding our minds to new foods and recipes. My 4month old baby loves to watch tabieats especially when Satoshi is in the video. I recommend you guys to everyone ☺️
My dad's side of the family really loves ketchup. We put ketchup on eggs (always), fried food, etc, and use it as our primary condiment. When I see the popularity of ketchup in Japan, I feel like visiting Japan because I think I would fit right in.
I am so excited that I decided to spend time in Nagoya on my trip next month. I've watched a couple of your videos on the area now, and I can't believe I slept on this city in the past. Thank you for the great content!
30th birthday was in 2020, had plans to go to japan and enjoy all the amazing history, beautiful sights and delicious food. but we all know how 2020 went. but i think its time to rebook those tickets and fly my cute lil buns out there, you 2 just make everything look so fun and delicious
I absolutely love your channel. Iam from Honolulu Hawaii also so i appreciate everything Japanese. That food looks so yummy especially the pork with the rice. That rice with the nori yummy. Keep the videos comming. Much love to the both of you💕💕💕💕💕💕
Tonkatsu is one of my favorite food! Allergic to shoyu, prefer the tonkatsu sauce. Unfortunately, also allergic to seafood. Thank you! Very beautiful dishes! 🌺
I have studied abroad in Nagoya for 1 year before and this video reminds me of the time. (especially the intro scene with Oosu Kannon) I still miss the taste of Miso Katsu!
I have to say that was the most appetizing meal I've ever seen you guys eat. (And I've been watching for a long time) I'm a very, very picky eater and even the raw egg on that crispy pork and rice looked delicious. I think maybe it's because seeing any meat with fat on it makes me lose my appetite and that was all lean and crispy and yummy looking.
Thank you both for this recommendation! I just got back to my hotel stuffed from the tontonmabushi! Not one grain of rice left. One of my faves. It’s up there with tare tonkatsu from Niigata! Gochisosamadeshita 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Once my bestie took me to have Hitsumabushi in Nagoya, I have not been able to enjoy unagi anywhere else, even had some in Asakusa & my mouth was like no, take me back to Nagoya. Cursed blessing! I need to go back to Nagoya for all their other Nagoya specific dishes!!!
Still a few years from my trip to Japan. I don't know if I can eat enough for the 14 days I will be there. Possibly might need 3 weeks. Love the channel ✌❤
It's been a minute since I watched y'all's videos, and I'm glad this popped up. You two presented this in your usual laid back yet enthusiastic manner, and I enjoyed it rather a lot. Once Japan begins to allow tourism full on again, I will eagerly see about planning a return trip there, because I miss Japan hugely! Me being a crazy foreigner aside, mind you.
Damnnnn it’s half 5 in the morning here in the UK, and I just want both dishes and I’m so hungry, I’ve run out of milk for my cereal lol. Ohhhhhhhhh I adore tonkatsu so much. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm send me it please.
Next time you go to Nagoya please visit Ichinomiya!! They also have fabulous miso katsu!! 😍 also you can visit Inuyama Castle nearby!! There are kimono rental shops and really delicious beef sushi on the shopping street leading to the castle!! 💖
Hello guys! waa both dishes look so delicius!! i had no idea that Nagoya was famous for miso tonkatsu, when we've been there we ate unagi, but definetely we have to come back to try the Sachihoko Don set!!
Wow that looked so good! Haven't seen those dishes anywhere else. We need to spend a couple days in Nagoya and try all the good food you guys show. By the way there's a Siracha shortage here in Hawaii, I was thinking about that Siracha vending machine you guys showed us in Nagoya!

7:35 for Satoshi’s reaction
Shinichi's reaction when he first tried his dish was just the best.
Satoshi’s reaction to it was also good!

Yes, we went to this restaurant as suggested. We love this place.
My dad's side of the family really loves ketchup. We put ketchup on eggs (always), fried food, etc, and use it as our primary condiment.
When I see the popularity of ketchup in Japan, I feel like visiting Japan because I think I would fit right in.
Wait until you tell your family about Omurisu (omelette rice) which also has ketchup.

Food is a universal language, it looks absolutely amazing!!

Ive never seen you react so strongly to a bite before, Shinichi!! It truly must be a star dish!
I don't know why, but I really love that dish Shinichi's meal is served in. It also reminded me to try and make... pizza-don I believe it was called.
Since I discovered you, guys, I follow every video! You are such two wonderful persons! Greetings from Italy. はじめまして 💚

So you don't eat bacon I assume?
@@beautifullybroken4879
Well of course. American style bacon. All crispy, no chewy fat.

I'd feel so proud if my food made people do this 6:40 and 7:30
I'm hungry to try that different kind of gyoza that you're eating in the first 4 minutes 20 seconds of this video. Thanks!
I'd love to find out how Nagoya introduced both Tonton Mabushi and hitsumabushi given the parallels between the two dishes and how they're consumed.
I'm so hungry now
That looks soooo good....lol I said it during the video and shinichi said it right after.....roflmao
Looooove misokatsu!
Wow, that tonton mabushi looked amazing! Such an interesting place to eat. So is this dish only found in Nagoya?
