I’ll be going to nagoya for a school trip this january! Hopefully we have enough free time so me and my friend could go here. Do you know what time most shops close in osu shopping street? Hopefully i get a reply hehe thank you! 💖
It depends on the store, but many of them seem to open around 11 AM and close around 6 or 7 PM. The Google Maps links for the stores featured in the video are in the description box. (Some stores may be closed.) Hope you have a great school trip!
We haven’t been there ourselves, but it seems there’s a new hitsumabushi restaurant that opened this year. It’s a bit more expensive than Unako, but I think it’s reasonably priced for a hitsumabushi restaurant. By the way, it seems they’re only open for lunch :) ★Hirudake Unagiya Osu store 【Address】maps.app.goo.gl/xWjQenVMJjicZ5Wx5
Thank you, very useful von A to Z..... I "ended" up in Nagoya because of a good flight connection from Naha, Okinawa. Stayed overnight. I don't know what it is about Nagoya, but I immediately loved the city. I also found the people very outgoing and many speaking English. My stay was far too short, so I definitely want to go back.
Amazed by the food it's not the exact description of what I feel watching the diversity you found in Nagoya, the buns with meat were my favorites of this episode as well as the chick and the dumplings you taste (just the egg with chicken... No). I just missed one ice cream or something fresh as a complement but the meal is deeeeeeeeelicious! Arigatou Akanemaru for the way you have explained every place in your expedition as the tastes and textures as well, arigatou Junjiro for being the "official taster".
@@samurai_junjiro Thank you for your help and for your videos! Would be very interested in knowing more about onigiri speciality shops. Ideally in Tokyo or Osaka
It seems that oyakodon didn’t originate in Nagoya, but since Nagoya Cochin, a famous breed of chicken, is well-known, there are many restaurants in and around Nagoya that specialize in chicken dishes :)

Upon checking google maps, Unako is already permanently closed 😥 Do you recommend a similar affordable hitsumabushi store/resto in the same area?
