You guys are doing such a great public service with these videos. I have frequently been asked about food in Japan. It has a reputation for being expensive but actually there are lots of very nice places to eat which are reasonably priced. Now people don’t just have to take my word for it, they can just watch a few of your videos. Once the pandemic is under control there are going to be lots of people flying to Japan thinking “Now what was that place I saw on Shinichi and Satoshi’s video? How do I get there?’”
I am so impressed with Satoshi's english vocabulary in this video! You have come so far speaking the hardest language to learn due to the nature of the language as a melting pot of other languages smashed together. The food looked great. The sushi and ten-don alike. Thanks for keeping at the great content during these times.
I love all things that have Matcha flavour ... tea, chocolate, ice cream, cake, etc., etc. After the Covid pandemic is over, I’m headed to Japan to visit friends and I can’t wait to eat at the Tokyo Food Court.
you should find the old Iron Chef if you can. my sister and I loved watching it when we were kids because of how precise and delicate the judges discussed the food.
You had me at tempura tamago. That egg break had me drooling! My favorite and simple comfort food is a runny fried egg on top of a hot bed of rice, with a drizzle of soy sauce and a sprinkle of black pepper. Oh, and a side of spicy Thai cucumber salad!
😳 I rarely mention price because everything is relative but that sushi set @3:00 for only $16 USD is ridiculously affordable...and all the nigiri looked fantastic. 🍣👍
Yes! I love how you reminded people that fresh fish sashimi, does not have a strong fishy taste or smell:) I live in the United States, and that's how I like to tell if a sushi restaurant I'm go to is going to be good or not.
We used to have a Kaneko Hannosuke stall at the Mitsuwa Marketplace near Chicago, Illinois. We were so sad when it closed. At least we still have a Sutadonya.
You guys are killing me with these videos, I get so hungry watching them. I go back over time and look at them again. Keep making them. I watch quite a few food videos and you and Satoshi the tops.😁
Shinichi really describes what a perfect tempura should be very well, and yes I do eat the tail too!! I hated it so much when the fried stuff is so oily and every bites is oil and not flavor! Gonna be in my to visit list next time when I'm in Japan for vacation!
Bucket list! That was a super fun food tour, boys! I love to go to places, where locals like to hang out, and I especially, love how passionate you both are, and how you take the time, to describe the flavors and the textures of each bite. I’m so not a fan of unagi, but brother, that tempura unagi looked amazing! Thank you for showing us the deliciousness of your matcha kakigori desserts as well. I swear I thought, the blood orange cream was all frozen yogurt or ice cream. Good to know that it was a light cream. 😊
As I write this it’s nearly 6.30pm here in the UK. I had dinner at 5.30pm but after watching S & S I’m now seriously hungry. What a fantastic lunch which by the way combined together, sushi and tempura, it’s a feast fit for a Japanese emperor! And also two interesting desserts. Ok I’m going to make a sandwich now.
I watch Johnathan Van Ness, he's so sweet. Thanks for suggesting him. I love you guys too! Never did watch RUclips till you came along. How time flies. Tina
I love your expressions and the way you focus on depicting an accurate description of the foods. You make everything sound so delicious. Thank you for sharing this special place. When I travel, I like to go where the local eat. Those places are the best. You guys are the best. Stay safe❤
Shinichi almost made me cry. We had a Hannosuke here in Hawaii that I used to eat at but it went out of business when things got locked down. Haven't found another tempura place I like as much since. Gonna eat at the Tokyo one once things open up.
I want to eat tenpura now! Huhu. I went to Odaiba when I visited Japan, but it was already late that we didn’t get to explore much. Will go to those restaurants next time.
I’ve lived in Tsukishima for a summer, so lalaport was a stones throw away. I frequented the Tetsu ramen booth in the food court. I loved the Tsukemen they offered!
I love Kaneko Hannosuke so much!! It was one of my go-to restaurants when I lived in Vancouver. I never got the one with the anago ‘cause it’s so big, but I really loved the tendon that I always got. And the egg is definitely one of the best parts 🤤 can you make a part 2? I would love to see what else LaLaport has! The sushi (especially the ikura), kakigori, and parfait look delicious
That tendon looks so yummy. I am so jealous. Couldn’t go to Japan last year because of the virus, but hopefully going this year to visit my family and eat yummy food.
We plan to visit Japan in a couple of years when the COVID-19 thing is under control. Your food videos make our mouths water. We can’t wait to try all these wonderful dishes ourselves. Thank you so much.
It's so interesting how cultural experiences differ and so preferences become different. Satoshi's reaction to ikura, just made me think that. Ikura is one of those things I don't particularly like, even though I love fish roe. I just vastly prefer small-grain fish roe. I find the popping of ikura when eating a bit unsettling, ngl. XD It's totally lack of experiencing it, but also, because when serving dishes in Sweden with fish roe, the finer the roe is, the better! "Sikrom" is still my absolute favorite, for sure. "Sik" (or Whitefish) is a sweet water fish with white meat and it's a relative of the salmon that is common in the north part of Sweden. But the fish roe is tiny in comparison to salmon. I recommend this roe for eating as a topping to a traditional Västerbotten-cheese pie, sour creme and some chopped chives. A fresh salad on the side. Nothing better!
I just love seeing the exotic foods you feature in every video; you two are very blessed having such amazing cuisine at arms reach all around you. Bon appetit!
I remember getting a mango soft serve cup along the river just inside asakusa. Almost across the sky tree, with a stunning view. I think it's called cafe W.E a simple cafe really.
I am glad Satoshi joined you on this walk...watched your earlier stream when you were solo. Watching your visit for a second time was just as enjoyable!
I love you guys! I'm watching you on my son's TV, but he lost the roku remote and I have to keep going back to my phone to hit the like button, but its worth seeing you lovelies 😘 💖
I loved the tempura don bowl, and both cold desserts! Twas fun when you both tried to discover what’s inside your ice cream desserts, hahaha! Good job on this video! Awesome! 🎉👍☺️
Loving the food courts and the atmosphere there. The food is reasonably priced. Liked all the dishes you showed us my favourite is the Tempura selection, the egg was cooked to perfection. The desserts were to die for. Arigato 🙏😀👍
That all looked amazing!! I will take about 6 of those tempura buckets, lol. When you broke that egg??? omg. I love that you could sit outside, looked like a nice day. So very happy to see you guys out and about.
I love your videos and I'm using them to fill my itinerary with food! Favor - can you either add links to all the places you eat, or type in the restaurant names in the videos? You tell us what the restaurant is, but for non-Japanese speakers, sometimes it's hard to understand the name. And i can't google it if I don't know how it's spelled. Thank you!
It all looked delicious but I think the tempura wins hands down. I haven't gotten the nerve to eat sushi yet. The shave ice concoction looked devine and after a day of walking I'm sure it hit the spot. I believe your Okāsan likes tempura also if I'm not mistaken. Maybe if she comes again you can let her eat there with you. Have a great weekend fellas. Love ya...❤🙋🏻♀️🔥👍🏻🍤🍧⛩🍡
I can't wait for the pandemic to be over so I get the chance to travel to Japan. I really want to put my Japanese skills to practice :) あなたのビデオがとても好きです!ビデオを作ってありがとうございます!
Wow this looks amazing 😍 I hope we can visit Japan sometime in the future! And I hope we find some vegeterian Tempura since my husband can't eat fish or seafood. 😔
Oh my gosh I need to go and experience food in Japan 😍 everything looks fantastic, the tempura looks so good, and the sushi so clean and always fresh. Awesome video guys
I’ve never heard of a deep fried egg. It’s sounds yummy. I love a soft poached egg. Do you use the same cooking procedure but use oil instead of water?

They are 😊

That tempura looked so golden, crispy and delicious.
I love all things that have Matcha flavour ... tea, chocolate, ice cream, cake, etc., etc. After the Covid pandemic is over, I’m headed to Japan to visit friends and I can’t wait to eat at the Tokyo Food Court.

I think I can get something similiar dish for the same price in my hometown , San Jose, California.
@@dennistani1986 San Diego is a great place to get good quality of sushi with reasonable price.
@@dennistani1986 where in san jose? I have never seen good sushi at that price point.
Yes! I love how you reminded people that fresh fish sashimi, does not have a strong fishy taste or smell:) I live in the United States, and that's how I like to tell if a sushi restaurant I'm go to is going to be good or not.
I judge a place by the freshness of the fish and quality of thier miso soup. If either are bad, I never return.
We used to have a Kaneko Hannosuke stall at the Mitsuwa Marketplace near Chicago, Illinois. We were so sad when it closed. At least we still have a Sutadonya.
So we not gonna talk about that deep fried egg? That's the best part of the video. I love tempura and all it's variations. ❤💛💜💚💙🧡

17:00 "and something, something, something" 🤣 love Satoshi's voiceovers
We had a Hannosuke in the food court in Torrance Mitsuwa but when they moved no longer exists. Miss it a lot. So good!
