I know how you feel. I used to work at a pizza hut when I was young whos only bathrooms where down a long flight of stairs. The owners really wanted to move the bathrooms up stairs but the store just wasn't making enough to do a massive renovation like that. 99% of the people that came in with mobility issues were cool with it. One asshole (we think he went around looking for issues like this for a cash grab.) threatened to sue the store.
I came to say the same thing. 30 years after ADA and we still have excuses instead of accessibility. This was so touching, I dream of going to Tokyo even more now just so I can go to Talara.
It’s super cool to see how concerned that owner was about everyone being able to enjoy his restaurant. That really shows so much of his character. His food and restaurant looked amazing as well. All the food and restaurants were of course beautiful and looked so delicious! Well done!
When Satoshi took a bite of the chūtoro I nearly cried whilst having a huge smile on my face - that level of happiness is something to strive for in life in general, let alone from food! Amazing!
I have never written a comment, I love all your videos and how you both have displayed food from my country (Peru) I have encouraged myself to write something using the translator, I hope you liked the food and that someday you come to Peru !!!
I am very touched by how far the last restaurant owner went out of the way to accommodate everyone in his restaurant and make them feel welcome, as my husband is handicapped. Best video ever guys!!! 💕🤗👏🏼😍💯👍🏻
When I can finally go back to Japan I want to find his shop for the accessibility options he added into his restaurant so everyone can access it, that is wonderful It's even better that the food looks wonderful as well
Been to Japan annually since 2013... last visit was in Jan 2020... truly my favourite country to visit...hope to be able to visit in 2021.... I close my eyes too when I eat good otoro, chutoro & uni
The thing I really appreciate about your content is that you always go out of your way to try out all kinds of foods from all kinds of neighborhoods/places, even ones that are less 'typical'. All these restaurants look absolutely delightful and that sushi one looked SO fresh!! Also that Talara owner seems like such a kind and considerate person, trying his best to make everyone feel included. When I travel to Japan again I will definitely be trying these out and say I know them through you guys! :)
I respect a household or any restaurant that has kept its age old heratige food supply ,recepie, tools and even people. A place never hasto update if they have been there since day 1 making unique decisions to gratify people and culture.
I am most excited about the Sukiyaki restaurant. Cannot wait to come back to Japan and eat my favorite food in the world. I love the attitude and personality of the owner of Talara. I would eat at this restaurant because of him!
Another good video! I really love the blue aloha shirt Shinichi is wearing. That Japanese Peruvian place looks delicious too. The owner looks like an ikemen master - I love how he is thoughtful of people with disabilities.
Love seeing the care in the creation of the meals for patrons to enjoy which shows in the length of the establishment being open...as well, I love the fact that the Peruvian infusion restaurant has inclusion for those with mobility issues for individuals to come and feel welcomed...thank you for sharing :) :)
Seeing Satoshi's reaction to eating the Chutoro was amazing. I don't think I've seen Satoshi react that way to anything you guys have shown us in a long time. I love sushi . . . this was a REALLY great treat to see. I miss the Eel restaurants of Japan. The Eel liver . . . I'm so hungry now!
I adore your videos. You both are so genuine with your reviews and emotions that the food brings to you. I am so glad you are doing these. Please stay healthy and safe. Much love to both of you. Angel
You guys always makes me crave for the food you guys eat. All the food in this video are so mouth watering and all the 4 restaurants has so much history. I love the excitement you guys have before eating each meal. Side note, both your skin looks so healthy! Shinichi looks great and Satoshi is handsome as always.
Interesting that the sushi is made without sugar. My mom wants to try it when she is back in Tokyo. She's never been to Nihonbashi. I've been there a couple of times but don't go there often. The unagi restaurant looks beautiful!!! The unagi looks good as well. The third restaurant so good to see that if you have a disability they will help you enter. the food looks amazing. It really has an izakaya atmosphere but with interesting dishes.
Hello Shinichi and Satoshi. That was a food experience indeed. The food look so delicious. And the reaction from both of you say so. I never seen people so enjoy the food as you two. Is was if you two were in foodheaven😊. The sushi looks so good. Thank you for sharing with us.
Japan will never stop surprising me! I love to go to all three esp. Talara, in addition to thier food i love that fact that wheelchair users are welcome!
Tomorrow it’s Peru’s Independence Day. Thank you for showcasing our delicious cuisine. Papa a la Huancaína and Lomo Saltado are some of my favorites. Thank you for making this video. ありがとうございます.
My family loves watching your videos. When my 4 years old daughter heard you guys said" if you like our videos, please give us a thumb up and subscribe", she came in front of my laptop and gave you guys her thumb up in front of the monitor😊.
Featuring a handicap accessible place meant so much to me. I’ve been in a chair for several years and there are so many places that I can’t go because of the architecture of the building. One of my favorite drinks is a Cherry Blossom 🌸- sake and plum wine. Thank you two for being so sweet and amazing.
Thank you for the introduction to such special restaurants. I look forward to the time when I can come to Tokyo again so I can try such delicious-looking food.
The sushi place looks so so so good!!! Fresh!!!!❤❤ All looked very good I love old traditional long standing place like this to eat at!!!! Love this vid guys!!!👍
My husband and I love watching your videos! I'm a new subscriber too. My husband's comment after watching this video was, "I'm jealous!" We love all the new places you share - both modern and traditional foods. We can't wait for our next trip to Japan, though it will be many years from now. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and new experiences with us. Tsugi no bideo wo o-tanoshimi ni shitema~su!
Aloha, Sinichi & Satoshi! Can’t wait to try those when I visit Tokyo again. Thank you both for all travel/food videos, felt like I “traveled” via these tough stay at home Covid times! Stay Safe! Mahalo from HNL.
I’ll look forward to going to Japan right after I go to Greece OK maybe right after I go to Iceland but I will definitely be there .When you said that they don’t add any more sugar to the rice you had me at that, I really appreciate that everything looks so fresh
My buddy who lives in Taiwan said he sometimes flies to Japan just to eat. I thought he was exaggerating. These days, thanks to videos like these, I'm not so sure if he is. Be safe everyone and hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later that people can travel without restrictions.
This is one of the best episode I have watched. I always make sure that I watch your channel, after eating my meal, otherwise, my tummy will start complaining. I looove how Satoshi describes his food, “the crab flavor becomes a very good friend of cabbage 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣” It goes without saying Shinichi is also very good, it is just that sometimes Satoshi’s description is unique and hilarious without intending to be, ha ha ha.😋. I love you guys, hello 👋 from the 🇵🇭 . Waiting for the W🌏RLD to HEAL 😷.
Mahalo for the great content. I found your channel a few months ago and have been enjoying your videos thoroughly. Also, that is a fantastic shirt! Aloha.
I love it how the owner of Talara really wanted to let people know the restaurant is accessible like that. Even though that does not help me personally as I'm not in a wheelchair but legally blind it always makes me happy to see people put in that extra effort.
Everything looks good especially the sushi and wagyu beef! 🤤 You guys always make great videos and I like how you describe the food. I was kind of hoping the video would be a little bit longer though because it’s always fun to watch you ❤️
*Love* what you enjoyed about a restaurant. I'd also *love* to see what could be improved. It not only helps restaurants, but also us *lonely cooks at home* who are trying to make an experience for our guests on the occasional weekday. 😊
Ohayo Shinichi-san and Satoshi-san! I just wanted to say that you are my most favourite RUclips stars(*yes, you are! :-) )& how much I look forward to your wonderful vlog episodes. Whether travel themed, food & snack box reviews, and, like this review, restaurant reviews, they are all suberashi! My only conplaint is that every time you do a vlog where food is involved, i'm left with my mouth watering afterwards! Haha! Also, please give justin a snuggle and pets for me! Take care & until next time!💜
Nice job both you guys. Delicious and very mouth watering dishes that you've presented from All the shops that you visited in this video. Well done..love your choices. 👌☺️😋😋👍🙏
Japan is on my bucket list and watching you and Satoshi are literally a daily ritual for me. If me and my family are ever blessed to visit, I will be sure to go to some of your recommendations and tell them Tabieats recommended.
Satoshi made some of that food look like a religious experience. LOL! You guys have definitely expanded my list of places to visit when I finally come to Japan.
Everything looked so delicious! I will be adding these places to my list. I love videos that specifically recommend places and I would love another video showing a tempura restsurant, or other types of Japanese food to try.
Wonderful to see you eating traditional food in long-established restaurants in Tokyo. Amazing history and traditions. Eating the best food available is really great. WOW! You do know where we should go to find and eat superb food! ARIGATO. from Minnesota!
These look so amazing! I was originally going to visit Japan in October but I've had to put it off. I'm hoping that I can reschedule the trip to April next year for my birthday
what i always notice when i watch Asians go eat or even eat at home is the presentation of the food. From the cooking of it to the display of it on the plate and bowls. It always looks perfect and done with careful thought..man it all looks so good..
As always, a pleasure to watch your video. There were foods there I have never eaten, but from these authentic restaurants, with qualified chefs, I wound even try the eel. I have lived a bit sheltered life in regards to Japanese food. The only one mentioned that I have tried is Sukiyaki which my Aunt learned to cook while living in Japan in the early 1950's.
Hello sinichi and satoshi san... Im drooling for unagi the lacquer is beautiful too. I like the plating of the second restaurant their potato salad, hamon with ume and the agetofu looks yummy. And of course the owner too tominaga san kakui otosan desu ne🥰 yasahiso... and Its my first time to hear shirataki noodles at the last part... I love old omise and places very authentic...❤️👏👏👏... I enjoyed watching this vid...✌️
The segment about the accessibility of the restaurant was a nice touch. As a wheelchair user, I really appreciate that.
For more context....the building was old enough to the point where it was grandfathered in and immune to the disabilities act.
@@JonGee420 be that as it may, the only bathrooms being down a flight of stairs would be a dealbreaker for a lot of disabled people, myself included.
I came to say the same thing. 30 years after ADA and we still have excuses instead of accessibility.
This was so touching, I dream of going to Tokyo even more now just so I can go to Talara.

Thanks so much :)
Tears of longing and joy came to my eyes while watching Satoshi relish the magnificent fatty tuna at 3:99.
I am very touched by how far the last restaurant owner went out of the way to accommodate everyone in his restaurant and make them feel welcome, as my husband is handicapped. Best video ever guys!!! 💕🤗👏🏼😍💯👍🏻
When I can finally go back to Japan I want to find his shop for the accessibility options he added into his restaurant so everyone can access it, that is wonderful
It's even better that the food looks wonderful as well
I've never seen anyone enjoy food more than Satoshi.
He is the coolest dude
Rhett from good mythical morning 😂
Satoshi is Ash from Palet Town Pokemom?
Goku from Dragonball...or my real life wife hehe
He’s always so happy too!
I love Satoshi's reactions and the sheer pleasure he gets from the sushi. He makes me smile :)
I love hearing Satoshi talk about the delicious food. It brings me a lot of joy how much he enjoys the food! Xx
The owner of the Peruvian/Japanese resturant was so kind and amazing
The reactions you guys have to food makes my day. Food is life! I love when food makes you happy! Satoshi loving his food makes me smile!
I love Satoshi's reactions to the foods he really loves. His laughter is so genuine and show's he's so positively overwhelmed by the flavors he loves.
Been to Japan annually since 2013... last visit was in Jan 2020... truly my favourite country to visit...hope to be able to visit in 2021.... I close my eyes too when I eat good otoro, chutoro & uni
I'm so glad that guy tries to accommodate for disabled people, especially the bathrooms. That's great to see.

It's great to see which places are accessible for wheelchairs especially places that also have an accessible toilet!

I love to watch Satoshi enjoy his food!! He is awesome
I stayed in Nihonbashi with my husband during our honeymoon and didnt realise (discover) this area is such a nice place.

The compilation at the end was a nice touch.
