Your comment about wanting to go back in time to take Kirstie to the prom looking just like that made me smile. She was pregnant on this tour and they hadn't announced it yet. Whoever does their stage wardrobe did a great job. She looks fantastic.
This was two years ago in Sept-Dec 2021, their first tour back after quarentine. They had yet to even do makeup dates for their cancelled 2019 world tour. I recall seeing a comment that said they'd received concert tickets for their 16th birthday and would finally be able to go at 19 😬 Not their fault, of course, their plane literally got turned away at the start of quarentine... then their first attempt to make it up in early 2022 got pushed again due to Kirstin's pregnancy. FWIW, their 2021 Christmas album was "Evergreen", named after the original song on the album. That's why the livestream was "The Evergreen Experience" and the behind the scenes for the album was "The Making Of Evergreen".
The studio / Yule Log version features Jazmine Sullivan and she does the gospel opening that Mitch does here. Pentatonix has had a lot of featured singers(mostly female) on their Christmas albums, all very good, but I always wish I could hear it with Mitch and / or Kirstie singing the featured part. So the live recordings allow that to happen.
And yes, it is from Sister Act. The Evergreen Experience is what they titled last year's Christmas tour. If you haven't yet, you should watch "The Recording of Evergreen" A behind the scenes look at their recording and arranging process.
I saw them do this live December 18, 2021 and it was Incredible!! I took a video with cell phone since I was center stage, 2 rows back. I felt like I could have touched Matt and Kevin. Video is posted on my own channel, along with others from that concert.
I love this version soooo much! This was everything! I just LOVE when Mitch starts the song! There are a ton of evergreen videos, it’s from their tour 3 years ago I believe, it was after them being stuck at home for a year and the sound and video quality are excellent! Merry Christmas!
I'm happy that you did the live version of "Joyful, Joyful" instead of the Yule Log version since we got Mitch leading instead of Jasmine Sullivan. She is one of Scott's favorite singers.

The St. Francis Choir, you are correct. PTX changed a couple things. I completely forgot the movie till they started singing. Now I might put it on! 🤷♂
PTX has a Yule Log playlist on their You-Tube channel. You can play and they will just keep going through the list, I have mine set so no ads run so I can listen uninterrupted. You should check out their “Making Of” of this Evergreen album, it’s pretty cool to watch their process of arranging their music. Watching the Yule log video wouldn’t be the same as Mitch doesn’t sing the lead. They brought in guest singer Jasmine Sullivan for the studio recording and while she’s good most of us prefer Mitch in the lead.

Drove me crazy how many songs they dedicated to their guest singers on the Best of ptx Christmas and the Greatest hits. They know those aren't the fan favorites but they decided to pander to the guests artists instead.
For your own entertainment go listen to the recorded version with the guest singer. It may have been Jennifer Hudson, not sure. I know they admire other performers and love to collaborate, but so often they are SO much better on their own. There was another one they did, a children's song, where once again Mitch replaced the guest in the live and outshown them by a mile. Merry Christmas. Now I will go enjoy your reaction.
