For those unfamilar - a TAS is a Tool Assisted Superplay/Speedrun. Playthroughs like this are created by a person recording and adjusting their inputs frame by frame in an emulator, and then playing those recorded inputs back in a video like this one.

@@PixelOverloadit’s a catch-all term for TAS’s that aren’t speedruns. It’s ‘super’ because it’s tool-assisted and it’s otherwise just a “play”-through. The term is convenient because it uses the same acronym; the community just made it up.

What a great TAS! Very creative and insane for a new runner to produce. The commentary duo is a good idea, your vast knowledge of the game is a nice compliment to the creator. Cool to see different perspectives from each end of the experience levels. Two for T, and T for TAS!
T for TAS! These videos are so fun to watch and having the creator's commentary alongside yours is super cool. That Alpine was insaaaaane. And damn, maybe I'm stupid but I have been playing Spyro (and watching other people play Spyro, lol) my whole life and I have never realized that the beginning of Beast Makers is connected to the end on the other side of that pyramid-- That wall glide at 48:41 blew my mind. And ALL of the Gnasty fight. Pete's so right about the way wall gliding can change your perspective of these levels and their layout.

T i would actually call this a free jumpless TAS i love to see videos like this this TAS was full of surprises and was a lot of fun to watch i hope more of these TAS runs are made on other games too it's amazing that the silly % inspired this guy and it probably has inspired a lot of others too (at least i hope it has)

Name Suggestion: Grounded X-less? Doesn't use X while in a grounded state? Uses X, but only while in the air so it registers for a glide, not a jump?

You mention RNG issues if you edited an earlier input of the TAS. Why are the fodder in later levels effected RNG by inp0uts you would make earlier in the game? This is something about the TAS I did not know about
fodder movement rng is affected by your inputs in the SAME area you are in, not in other areas. sorry for the confusion

What the hell is a superplay
“Superplay” is a compound term the community made to describe TAS’s that aren’t technically speedruns. It’s convenient because the acronym is the same.
It’s “super” because it’s tool-assisted to do things a human couldn’t do in real time. Since it’s not a speedrun it’s just a “play”-through
Another term you may see is a LOTAD. Low Optimization Tool Assisted Demonstration.
A playthrough (demonstration) that uses tool-assistance to do things a human can’t but doesn’t care about optimizing for speed (low-optimization)

sorry, i tried to give him as much space to talk as possible - hence the "go aheads" if i ever felt i was interuppting his thoughts. Its just hard not to have and 'interrupty' vibe with commentary over a video call, especially with a slight language barrier. I think i gave Pete an opportunity to communicate everything he wanted here
Don't worry, I didn't feel like I was being interrupted. I got to say pretty much everything that I wanted to, and if there was something I didn't say it was just because I forgot. I'm not 100% confident at speaking English so I was fine with letting Dayo do most of the talking.

Love the excitement that you have, but let the guy finish a sentence. You talked over him so much, which is so rude and very frustrating to watch
im sorry that this commentary frustrated you, but it is worth mentioning that Pete did NOT feel like I was talking over him too much as he has stated this in other comments. It is genuinely difficult to do commentary over a discord call without an interuptty vibe especially when a language barrier is involved, considering the slight delay in voice. Any time i felt like i was cutting him off, I said "go ahead" multiple times. So im not really sure how much more polite i could have been.
