I've never played the Spyro games, but I wanted to shoutout Insomniac Games, as they very well may be the most supportive developers when it comes to speedrunning. Apart from inviting Jeremy and Xem to show how broken their games are, they have also worked with our community to compromise on strats.
Many people know about the first person wrench climbing glitch in Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, but what they won't know is that it was left in on purpose as they thought it was really cool.
Furthermore, in the Ratchet and Clank PS4 games, there were a few strats that they had patched out, but they decided to patch them back in specifically because we asked them to do so.
In their newest release, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, we discovered a game breaking strat involving a gadget in the game. Insomniac updated the game so that the glitch was still possible, but just a little different so that both casual gamers and speedrunners can have fun. They even added an option in the main menu titled "speedrun settings." They've also joined our discord and told is about upcoming updates and constantly tweet about GDQ runs.
If any Insomniac developer sees this, I just wanted to say the speedrun community thanks you and appreciates everything you do.

    • @MikeyRoberto

That's really cool! I've always loved Insomniac, starting way back as a child with the Spyro trilogy, right up to current day with the Spider-Man games, but I didn't know that about Ratchet and Clank! So many games I've played/speedran have had awesome glitches patched out that kinda killed my enjoyment, so that's really sweet that they have a "speedrun settings" option! I hope Insomniac never stops making games.

I'm always impressed watching my friends that speedrun 3 Any and all of the amazing things they pull off in this category but watching a breakdown of this run truly drives home how amazingly proficient he is, especially compared to my friends I watch in awe. Many of these tricks are difficult for my Vortex running self to even grasp.
Another thing I'd like to share about Jeremy is that he's very supportive of people that are choosing to learn Spyro 3 as a speed game. He once raided me as I was trying it out not even knowing who I was and gave me some pointers for bridge in Midday Gardens. He's been similarly supportive to a few of my Vortex running friends that have taken a swing at 3 any as well.
If you're ever looking to pick up the category and Jeremy isn't around, there are still great teachers in wafflewizard1, ghostlyTrickster and Fady180 to name a few. This game and category can always use more runners, and the community is very welcoming and supporting!

Repent and follow Jesus my friend! Repenting doesn't mean confessing your sins to others, but to stop doing them altogether. Belief in Messiah alone is not enough to get you into heaven - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Contemplate how the Roman empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years to accomplish the religion of the Israelites C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20
Revelation has been unfolding since Jesus died. The Popes have claimed to be equal to God and set themselves in Jesus' place (antichrist(s)). Vatican City (Which is its own nation BTW) have risen up to fulfill the role of the false prophet
Regarding the man of lawlessness or antichrist, 2 Thessalonians 2:4 says “Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” The restrainer that the Apostle Paul was referring to in 2 Thessalonians was the Western Roman Emperor, who held back the Popes from taking power. Once the last Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 AD, the Pope was given civil and ecclesiastic authority over Rome; healing the deadly head wound of the beast in Revelation 13, as they took the Emperors title of Pontifex Maximus, leader of the church and state.
“We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. For the Pope holdeth place on earth, not simply of a man but of the true God.” (Source: “Decretals of Gregory IX,” Book 1, chapter 3.)
Pope Pius V blasphemed, “The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.” (Source: Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Cities Petrus Bertanous Chapter XXVII: 218.)
Pope Leo XIII declared, “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.” (Source: Pope Leo XIII Encyclical Letter, June 20, 1894)
The antichrist sea beast of Revelation points to the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, who controlled the Roman beast for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD.
Daniel 7:25 says “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” The Popes of Rome spoke against Elohim and proclaimed to be God. They reigned for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. during which they caused tens of millions of saints to be killed.
The Pope’s title is Vicar of Christ, which in Latin is ‘Vicarius Filii Dei’, and equates numerically to the number 666

"frame perfect" == "70% chance" damn, this man is good.
speedrunning is such a joy of a hobby, and the best communities always feel like teams, the top runners push eachother, and congratulate eachother when a record is stolen. I once saw a runner realize they weren't having fun with a ps1 game anymore (i think it was a platformer? no idea), so they closed it and started learning sekiro. and that's emblematic of speedrunning, the hundreds of hours are worthwhile, and happy, and as soon as they aren't? find something that is. the fun, the camaraderie, the absolute joy in it. it's great.

Speedrunning can be considered a strange hobby and, to a degree, it really is. Then again, so is stamp collecting or bird watching or collecting mirrors (true story btw).
This isn't helped by the reputation of some runners. But then I remember that every hobby has it's share of nutcases who only make up a small percentage of the entire community. People should do whatever they feel like doing, without harming others or, more importantly, trying to convince others to agree with whatever they think.

XD The Lantern loading clear was easy (I got on the bridge once as a kid, I just never thought of trying to jump through the roof of the lantern. Had no reason to as I thought it'd be solid.) Great speedrun.

HOLY shit this is insane. Finish a game in an hour is a huge accomplishment for me. 23 goddam minutes?! I really can't consider that anything else but insanity. This is pure gold.

Thank you for the closing statements towards the end of the video (before and after Insomniac bit). It touched me in a personal level as a person who love doing time attack in racing games.
I may not hold any world records in any games i play but i just love grinding time attack just because i want to be better than i already am.
    Once again, thank you.

I wonder about PAL side of things, how stuff is done with PAL v1.0 and PAL v1.1 (and for those wondering, no, v1.1 isn't Platinum only version, exists as a Black Label disc as well, "SCES-02835#" on the disc means v1.1, without "#" means v1.0).

Maybe it's just because I grew up with the Spyro trilogy, but I much prefer the original graphics and music over the reignited version. It's nice looking, but the originals bring me back to when times were far simpler. Thank you Insomniac for the amazing childhood I had. Spyro holds a place in my heart.

The crazy thing is that if he got the firefly proxy first try and got a faster scorch fight than the one in the 23 run then he could have had around 10 to 20 seconds less, wich is probably the perfect time.
