    Thank you so much for keeping up the great work. Seems like the swarm of crappy content creators trying to capitalize on Starfield's initial popularity has finally simmered down. Probably because Starfield's popularity has also greatly diminished. But a lot of us still love it, so it's great that good content creators are still pumping out the best vids.
    You've convinced me to go with a dual Razorback build from now on. I've basically done this already, but still keep a Hard Target around for sniping super far away. But I rarely use it, so I may just hang it up. I have one Razorback that is setup for single shot max damage for sneak sniping (1000+ damage per sneak hit), then another Razorback with the extended ammo effect for handling cq combat. I didn't realize binary trigger was so OP, so I'll be adding that to my CQ Razorback. Thanks again!

      I started playing the game almost a month ago and just completed the main story line lol. Made a huge mistake not creating a save before trying to do some custom ship building where I bought and sold a bunch of different parts and wasted million creds so I decided to just finish the main story line and I was a little bit bummed out about losing all my progress, including my ships and bases. Guess I should have checked more forums and let myself be spoiled so I could have rushed the main story a couple of times then went and did a ton of missions and side quests. actually the small magazine option is good for stealth class as the number of weights on your item affect sneak capabilities. the heavier you are, the more enemy can detect you. theres a console command of 'fSneakEquippedWeightBase', the name itself is self-explanatory.
    realistically, having large amount of ammo with small mag (for stealth guns) is better than having large mag with small amount of ammo. this is because the ammo has no weight in this game. also, stealth player would rather switch weapon (after being detected) or move from their current position after stealth kill to systemically killing the enemies one by one, so the small mag wouldnt be a problem.

    • @reffk5306
      @reffk5306 Год назад

      the recon laser sight have greater accuracy AND marks enemies. the marked enemies didnt actually provide greater accuracy. the marking is good for stealth players (i noticed your handbook are lacking knowledge for stealth playstyle) because the marking also works for enemies behind cover and walls. while it just limited to the aimed mode (unlike the sense star stuff powers which affected around you), it works best with rifles trying to sneak headshot from far away. sometimes in the dark areas the enemy is too far that your headlight doesnt reach, so the mark helps to see your target better.

    Some more advice about maxing weapon modding skill-
    1) Choose Professor background. It comes with 3 of the 4 skill points to unlock weapon modding skill.
    2) Do everything related to mod and research challenges at the same time. When you mod a weapon for challenge both research and wrapon mod will get a point.
    3) Master weapon modding the moment you are able to meaning after you reach the lodge. The game is not bound by character levels like Fallout 4. You can master weapon modding(and research skill) by about character level 11-12 with professor background and about 13-15 without that background and not putting skill points into other skills.

    • @jdorrbremme
      @jdorrbremme Год назад

      These are some good tips! I didn't know you could get Master skills so early in the game. I'll keep this in mind for when I make a new character.
      The only thing I'd add is on your #2 here. The Weapon Modding skill challenge will progress with ANY mod applied. The Research skill challenge will only progress with UNIQUE mods applied, so you'd have to keep switching it up. I definitely agree with the main point, though.
      I've waited until level 45 to start with all these Science skills so I could have lots of resources in my infinite Lodge stash. Maybe I was just getting lucky getting decent mod combos on weapons in the wild, so it fit my playstyle without having to spend the skill points.

    • @chadharger9323
      @chadharger9323 Год назад +1

      @@jdorrbremme The problem with research challenges is the word 'unique' isn't enough to describe how the challenge actually works. When doing weapon mod challenge we can take a weapon and swith between long/short barrels and each time it counts as a point. Research on the other hand only counts that as one point no matter how many times we switch the barrel on the same gun. We'd have to mod other parts of the weapon for it to count toward research challenge. By the time I reached mastery completion, I had five or six points to get for research even though I got full mastery for weapon modding. Thankfully I realized this sooner and did a whole lot of weapon looting.

    Something I haven't seen mentioned:
    Not sure what exactly, but some mods + stabilizing barrel + long range scope on Hard Target and Mag Sniper completely eliminates weapon sway
    Havent used them yet after doing NG+ grind, can't really check now, but I think I specifically did not use suppressors on either of them, so most likely it was due to using muzzle brake.

    *Edit. I haven’t finished yet but saw you included grips and stocks in the same section. I thought for sure you would test or mention testing the difference between stabilizing and regular stocks, as it says “while standing still” so I usually try to build 2 guns one with regular good stock and one with the stabilizing one and try standing still versus moving and see if the “accurate” shots change or if the range reaches out longer. Hope you mention it
    **edit again. It looks like you did mention it, and you said it kinda works on the hard target. I’m not sure how to extrapolate that data towards other things tho but thanks touching it

    I haven't finished the game yet but I already regret investing so much time into weapon/spacesuit skills. when I replay it, ill put more into quality of life skills that seem useless but are time savers. im at 57 I think, & ive only got the first melee skill that came with a stealth build. you start to find better and better weapons pretty quickly, so there's no need to invest in these two skills. they need to have a mod where it removes half the ammo available, or survivor mode where meds do little or are more rare. unless its something really unique ive stopped picking up stuff because its became boring and abundant. and outside of hornets nest, I can't tell much of a difference in the heat of the moment of rarity attributes, or level damage. I think the game gives you too much too soon. weirdly, I hated starting 76 because it was so difficult with very little. but it did force you to invest/hold on to a particular weapon or armor longer.

I put the mod on the Orion I gave Sarah so I can tell which alien she is shooting at, so I can deal enough damage to get XP from it before it dies. Regarding Shotgun mods: I've noticed that a choke + slug combo appears to increase the accuracy/range on the weapon's tooltip, and I FEEL like it actually is improved...but I'm not actually sure if it's a real increase or if I'm imagining it. Can you offer any insight?

    Can someone help me understand the comparative benefits of so-called Rare, Legendary etc weapons as opposed to 'general' weapons that have been extensively modded? I realise that the rare, legendary etc include perks of their own, are they typically MORE valuable and powerful or is it better to aim for specific mods on general weapons? Should I be keeping these rare, legendary etc weapons over general weapons? Please forgive my ignorance, still trying to understand the relative benefits and drawbacks.

      @@DanielVerberne the rarity (Rare. Epic, legendary) just denotes how many unique perks it can have 1 2 3 respectively (i have another video on them). Theres also the quality or tier of the weapon that actually impacts its base damage where you have standard,refined,advanced (cant remember them all anymore) and this is arguably more important. Usually you find better tier weapons on higher level planets from high lvl enemies and as you lvl yourself. Neither rarity perks or the tier can be changed, however, weapon mods can alwahs be changed at a workbench. Thid was super high lvl but hope it helps!

    I know you already went over this but I just want to clarify, if my Armor Penetration Skill is 3/4 or 4/4 then putting Armor Piercing Rounds on my guns is pretty much redundant?
    If so I’ll just put Tactical Mags on instead

      It's been a while since I've looked at the numbers but if memory serves correct I think a larger mag size will probably just be more convenient to play with since the dps per bullet will be very small with armor pen that high. Especially against low armor enemies which many are

      Huh... seeing as I almost never throw them at higher levels I'll definitely unequip them and see if there's a difference. I did find it weird that despite having the 30% faster reloads on ballistic weapons perk my Hard Target was still clunky to reload. It'll be a game changer for me seeing as how often I snipe from stealth with that thing. Besides, the Negotiator can handle grenade duties for me.

      @@XoRandomGuyoX in my game the grenades issue made a dramatic difference. I have the reloading perk and the 4th tier rifle perk which also improves reloading. Tac mag and ranger outfit. Man, I found a full auto advanced magshot fairly early (lvl30 I think) but I always found Magshots difficult as there's no crosshair and green is hard to see I've found... but fully auto makes it TWICE as pointless... at least in my hands. It has a mag size of just 6 (I think) and runs out almost instantly! plus the kickback is IMMENSE even in semi auto (single shot) so fully auto is like trying to hold an ENRAGED cat! Absolutely BURNS through your precious .43 MI ammo as well. Thing is that when going fully auto you typically see IMMENSE lowering of you damage... but with the mag shot you don't o.0 Now I can't handle it but I had been meaning to try my companion with this gun. Anybody tried something like this already?

      I think you might be right. Different weapons definitely have different walking speeds while aiming.
      That would actually not be completely useless since it doesn't drain stamina while over encumbered. It might be useful to have a lightweight backup weapon just for that. I'm going to have to do some testing to see if it's worth it.

      This! I'm not sure why UM has such a problem w/ ignition beams...I'm pretty sure they count as a separate source of burning dps (if you also have rank 4 lasers) AND they increase the base damage of the weapon - like amplifier or focus lens. Win-Win for an energy build...
