How many of these were new for you?
Timestamps on the way!
All of them. I don't play that way, but I love when I stumble across them. Having someone go through the effort for me is great. So great... I'm going to try something to get traction going.
@@dhotnessmcawesome9747 as long as it's not viewbotting then I'm probably down for whatever you have planned! 😅
Well... I TRIED to start two arguments...Nobody bit the bait. It was a first attempt. Or... a story told in parts and you need to scan the comments every video to hear the whole tale.... Or I could spell wirds rong. That always gets the comments rolling. Than argue that it was righ the whole... I mean... hole tyme. Yez. Thutz a gud plan. MUHAHAHAHAHA! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!! The fools! They'll never know my mighty plan of many plans!!!! Unless they read this. D'oh! Why am I hitting send? NOOOO! My SECRET PLAN!!!!!@@unclemumble
When you get to the stone bridge leading up to the item, go down and under it. The wall under the start of the bridge is minable, and breaks into a cave, with a NASA mug artifact inside. I ended up collecting mugs after that saw it as a sign LOL.
His name is Amundsen Barrett, would be my guess, named after the famous Norwegian Explorer who was a key figure in exploring Antarctica I believe.
The details are a bit fuzzy. But he calls himself that in his companion quest. I won’t say more for fear of spoilers.
At 17:39 if you take the miner's bitten sandwich, he yells at you for stealing his sandwich
The “unauthorised jump in House Va’ruun space” that Heller mentions is reference to the Argos mining operation on Ka’zaal (Nirah system), where Barrett found his artefact. There are additional logs from Lin there too.
That place has some awesome lore. I found it in my second play through and spend an hour there after killing all the zealots that were raiding the place.
Am I the only person who immediately tried running into the mining lasers to see if I could die?
There’s another of Barret’s logs in the Frontier bathroom.
You can also change the toilet paper orientation.
Haha that makes the whole bit even better 😂
He didn't talk about it cause we didn't miss it
I just noticed this at Vlads place
@unclemumble 1 thing you did miss, is if you run ahead and take the cutter and mine the Berylium in that side cave, Lins Dialog changes and she praises you for showing initiative.
You forgot the sandwich guy! Take his sandwich and his voice line is pretty funny. Just didn’t expect it.
I spent 40 minutes going through everything in the starting area lol since then I've found some cool details. Messages hidden inside lockers etc.
As a follow-up on that posting on the toilet that's out of order, you can flip the rolls of toilet paper in their holders in the functioning WCs, but this is the ONLY location in Starfield where you can do that.
Not true, there's one on the Eye as well, I'm sure there's a few others, I've been hunting them a few days now for some reason lol
There's one at Victor's house as well.
What about the secret NASA cup behind a breakable wall, under the bridge leading to the artifact
I was amazed when I first found it the mug.
That find led me to starting a mug collection :)
There's actually quite a few cool mugs in game... way more than sandwiches
Does anything happen if you find all the hidden mugs ?
Yep, missed the secret cave in the cave.
I was so disappointed when I found that there were lots of NASA mugs, I was delaying main story, but then went to NASA and the mug was everywhere.
I love the little details... I hate digging for them. This is holy work.
There's so much to pick apart in this game, it's insane. I've got a lot of work ahead of me!
Keep up the good work
I believe his first name is Amundsen, however he mentions he doesn't like that name when a certain someone says to call him that 😎
17:45 take that NPC’s Sandwich. Funny dialogue follows.
The terror morph quest line has been the best one so far for me
Lin actually has some special dialogue for you if you start mini before she gets to the cutter and instructs you to pick it up!
This vid is awesome. I don’t like listening to audio logs in game but for some reason I love listening to them on RUclips lol
I know exactly what you mean 😅 glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for this video. I get too motion sick with first person to do any more than blow through as fast as I can and get to third person mode. I really appreciate your attention to detail and letting me see what I unfortunately have to skip (or break the intro into multiple short gaming sessions, which is not ideal).
This is what makes the game fun and interesting. If you don’t take the time to investigate and find this stuff it may not be your type of game or you may find it boring.
It's worth going back , you get to later anyway, but it's worth the little explore (especially if you like the logs)
In the "out of order" bathroom, you can flip the toilet paper direction around
The guy next to the exit of the building where you wake up, the one sitting on the table, grab his sandwich and he will be sad about it.
At 11:14 does that scan change if you chose the half-alien DNA in character creation?
thing you missed ( i think ? ): the guy with the sandwich has extra dialogue if you steal his sandwich!
I have been an RPG gamer for 30 years, so I look in every nook and cranny. I don't like, though, that in some containers, loot is procedurally generated. Which is why a RUclipsr in an LP found an epic weapon, and in the same container, I got some wire and a medpack!
A succulent in a locker!
Theres also the ability to flip the toilet roll orientation
All these comments about hazards and mining suit quality make me excited for a survival mode. Todd please
To add to the toilet paper debate there are some places where you can “correct” the orientation of the roll on its holder. And yes the flap faces towards you.
Kinda enjoyed the ending here as when I finished the fight and made a run to the PoI on your scanner, I went back to the locker room and was thinking hmmmm no one is going outside to aid the others that were in the fight.
I never stayed long enough to hear them talk about it, but still no help from them.
My very first Bethesda expirence was trying to shoot Lin with the cutter and being sad it didn't work. Then tried it on a worker and was happy
If you shoot the miners with your mining laser, now various dialogues
Ha didn't try that one, that's funny
I took someones lunch and they yelled after me for it. XD
😂
Is it just me, or does it seem like some wires got crossed regarding Heller’s accent. Sometimes he just sounds like a typical Nathan Drake-esque video game character and other times he sounds like he’s in the mafia. Makes me wonder if the voice actor was called in to do new lines years after earlier lines were recorded, and the voice actor/director forgot what he sounded like or something. Not a complaint, just something I’m curious about.
It’s a Barrett; one of many.
You forgot the personal log he left in the bathroom. It's why he was banned from using it.
😂
Barrett first name is AMUNDSEN
Sounds like his name is Barrett Amundsen
@edwin6791 No, it is Amundsen Barrett. His First name is Amundsen.
Thorough.
Try taking the sandwich from the guy in the break room
AMUNDSEN BARRETT'S NAME IS AMUNDSEN!!
source: Worlds Apart quest
Yep, missed the secret cave in the cave.
I missed all of this because I zerg rushed through it, anxious to get exploring other planets lol this is a really cool video idea, can't wait for the deep dives into other areas. UC story spoiler ahead:
When you find Hadrian's old partner scientist hidden in the back of that underground hideout, the tissues and skin scream is sitting by his computer lol IIRC he had been down there for years, alone. Can't blame him.
Did you know you go to the place where Barret found his artefact? You can find Lin's computer which has some more background. It's in the Serpentis system.
Edit: Nirah not Serpentis.
Oo ilk have to check that out at some point, there's so much information to collect in this game its crazy
Where is Lin's computer?
Yeah where
@@BiomechanicalBrick I made a mistake it's in the Nirah system on Ka'zaal.
@@xThexMasterxProx se its on Kazaal
Concerning the toilet paper roll orientation; there is a toilet stall with a roll that you can actually change!
*spoiler*

It's on the "eye"
The working bathroom in this facility has one as well.
Personal "logs" 💩
😂😂😂
"Helium deposit"... what a crock. Helium is a gas!
You can still have deposits of gasses, Heller told me so
...which is found underground... in deposits.
@@bobrobrulesHelium is mined like natural gas, with a drill and a well-head to keep it under pressure. It's not dug out like iron ore.
@@KenOtwell exactly
Starfield is the best game ever made. Convince me I'm wrong.
Fast travel is stupid. You're stupid. I like Spiderman mrore anyway.
Yeah... It's Spider-man and what the Hell is a "mrore anyway"?
No Man's Sky and Baldurs Gate 3. There. Convinced.
That's a lowsy argument. Most played and best game aren't the same. Grammy goes to the most sales. Do you REALLY think Britney Spears ever released the BEST album? I sure don't. NOT CONVINCED AT ALL!!!!! Try again.@@gamingtonight1526
It's great but I wouldn't say that. Wouldn't say that about any game in fact
There really isn't an "everything" game out there, or is there?
Starfield is the worst game ever made. Convince me I'm wrong.
Stupid fast travel. It gets bees in my pants! I want to have to spend 12 hours flying to the moon.
No... Don't agree with me. Argue with me. What's wrong with you?
You're a big baby!
I am a big baby and I'm smarter and more ...ENDOWED than you. Go home junior!
