SWAT Standoff Suspect Taken Into Custody Near Graham Elementary School

December 2, 2024. A wanted rape suspect was spotted near the elementary school Monday afternoon. Deputies followed the suspect and watched him run into a home at the end of 202nd Street East off of 92nd Ave East at about 12:30. A relatively short standoff at about three hours in length. SWAT called for the suspect to come out of the house several times letting the suspect know they were not going to leave anytime soon. Just before a modified Bobcat with a battering ram was going to breach the front door the suspect opened the door and gave himself up. A second person also came out of the house. No shots fired.
