- Kubota L3200, What it can really do!!!
This is a 32HP Kubota L3200 with a LA524 FEL. I have a Land Pride Quick attach, with a County line 5’ box blade on the back. This combination of tractor and attachments makes moving dirt a breeze. This dirt moving project was about 100 Hrs of seat time, It was spaced out over about a year because of the weather. The dust at the beginning of the project was unbearable. And then as you know if you own a tractor moving dirt in the rain has its own set of challenges. Over all i moved over 1200 Yards of dirt, having a drag path made using the box blade a lot easier. This goes to show that a smaller tractor with a little bit of extra time can really get some dirt moved.
I didn't realize that the kubota L3200 could operate that fast!! That is flat AMAZING!!!!
The L series kubota is the first of what a TRACTOR realy is. An excelent acomplishment with safe operating procedures, skillfull endevors and a repect for the equipment and the land made this a great instructional vidio. Thank you Daniel.
Sir, you are a box blade master! Great job! Thanks for sharing. I never thought that you could do THAT MUCH with a box blade.
When I bought my BX23S this year, people busted my bubble of happiness when they asked me "What would you do with a tractor?" What a fukking dumb question which I replied angrily "What CAN'T you do with a tractor?" To me, it is a tool that saves my old aging back.
its not really about back! its fun and enjoyment !
I have the same tractor and it will do everything you demonstrated and more. I've got seven attachments for the front and back but by far the best investment has been the grapple. It's really paid off in handling and loading logs on my small sawmill. Now off to check out your grapple video.
Fastest tractor driving award! Cool video.
Tractors are fun, I bought a New Holland TC30 with a loader to replace my 1947 Ford 2N. But I found that old lite weight antique can still do a lot of work in the woods when I don't need loader or four wheel drive. Moved a lot of dirt with that old chugger and my box blade. Best $1500 I ever spent. Thankful for newer tractor today moving 1.5 feet of fresh snow.
You did a really nice job. If I may give you a tip, while you back drag with the front bucket do not use it all the way curled this can cause damage to the hydraulic ram / cylinders there is a RUclips video on this. Many years ago when I was learning I made this mistake and cost myself a few hundred dollars to replace the cylinder. The further out it is extended the easier it can break. There are other ways to accomplish the same out come without putting so much stress on the front cylinders. Please don't take this negatively I'm only trying to give out some pointers like I said great job. Keep on operating.
Amazing job, got a few acres I’m planning on regrading this fall/winter, brand new L2501HST is raring to go!
It still amazes me how with a little bit of time and the correct equipment at how much can be done. I'm new to tractoring, I just picked up a 44 ford 9N and waiting for my box blade. I can't wait to get started.
A job well done!
In addition to the beautiful, extended yard, you created a fire break in the process. Smart thinking.
You told a great story! Your video production values together with your narration provided the foundation for your story in a compelling and interesting manner.
Thanks for all the time and effort you put into telling this story.
Best wish,
Roy Lewis

Must be nice to have actual dirt with some stones - that is easy to move. Try this in the Northeast with all the rock and boulder and you'll need more than just an FEL and box blade. I have been doing this on our homestead and ended up having to upsize (55hp) the tractor, and add a frame mounted backhoe to the mix.
But YEAH! Ground work is fun. Great video. Thanks.
Nice machine. I pretty much have the same machine, l3800 and people asked me why I purchased such a small machine. I think it's the perfect size, big enough to do big jobs like your doing and small enough to maneuver through woods trails and not rut up the lawn for yard work.
my kubota dealer has a kubota M6-141 a 141hp tractor with M51 loader, bucket ,10 foot HLA blade ,dubble auger snowblower, forks package for $99,000 wich not bad
Incredible job! Came out great. Amazing what you can do with a small tractor and box blade. Thanks for the video.
Nice job! A lot of work got done by that tractor! Thanks for posting!
That Kubota is perfect for anyone with a few acres or just a large lot, looks like you enjoyed doing it.
i watch a LOT of videos on youtube on all kinds of stuff. your video is one of the best ones i've ever seen here. i especially liked the "fast-forward" format as it was easy to see the progress of your excavation as the video progressed. and - i've run a number of construction machines and you clearly have some operator skills. i've had earth-moving bids on various projects and the tasks you've preformed on this video would probably constitute at least a $15-20k project if "hired out." i'm wondering how a large CTL would have compared in time required for your Kubota. i know how long its takes to move dirt. i'm guessing you spent at least 40 hours on this job. an enjoyable video and kudos to you for your skills.
Thanks i appropriate that, Ill be working on more videos like this one.
I hate to think how much earth you have moved! Looks great
great video, love the time lapse.
I am doing pretty much the same thing right now on 100 acres.
I have a Kubota B3000 and a Case 580N and a Gehl Skid steer.
Man is it ever time consuming
Thanks for the video
You made so much extra work. And ran in circles not doing much. Wow!
Yup but it was fun!!!!
@@DanielWoodell you did great,i been doing landscaping 30 years, never used a box blade,im looking for one tomorrow thanks, great video
Great video, your a master with the box blade! I've been tinkering with mine on the Kubota L2501 but still getting use to it!
If only we all had such easy digging
The scenery there is very pretty. Looks like you have some nice property. I've from Alabama and I have a Kubota tractor as well and those tractors can do some good work!
Awesome job, very cool to see the progress in compressed time. 2 thumbs up
Very nice job, almost bought a kubota. looking at a couple older ones and may buy one used. thanks for sharing
Hills are pretty dangerous on a narrow L3200. I had beet juice put in the rear tires and I have a 3 inch spacer on each back tire to make it 6 inches wider but not wider than the front bucket. The weight and extra width make a world of difference when it comes to working on hills. I always wear the seat belt just in case.
The seat belt may keep you strapped down when you need to jump clear in a roll over.
@@charlesarmstrong3536 I would trust the seat belt and roll bar over trying to jump in what may not be the right direction.
You did an awesome job. Especially for just using a small tractor.
Damn nice job and to show how many trips back and forth something like that actually takes, looks good.
Excellent size tractor. Perfect combination.
Excellant video! You sir are a box blade master!
Loved the way you edited this video. Plus you helped stear me to a L series instead of a B50.
I have a BX-25 and a B3030. In my opinion, if you own over a few acres and the land is pretty tame, I would opt for an L series.
I've got the L48 and I like to use my box blade in reverse quite often. Works really well.
its better to break up the dirt with the ripper shanks then use the box blade to spread /transport material also to combat the humps you have to drive in at different angles so youre not digging in the same low spot
I just did the same job he showed in the video. I dropped the ripper shanks and still was able to move dirt from one area to another using the same technique he shows. Dropping the ripper shanks does not impede the box blade's ability to move dirt
This is so cool, especially that you took so much time to get it captured on video. Great job!
Great video, you just helped me finalize my purchase.
Glad I could help!
Great work! Makes me want to get out and work on my yard. I'm still waiting for the frost to thaw and the ground to firm up so the tractor does not sink. I need to add 4inchs of soil too so I can get the water to run away from the house.
very nice work. And NICE video work...
Yes Great Job.. thanks for sharing
Enjoyed watching
Looks like fun, nice job. Have my new kubota coming next week, can’t wait to play.
Mark Lane Thanks for taking a look, I suspect you’ll find you like your new Kabota more than you could possibly imagine!
I got the L3301 and put 3 gearmore hydraulic rams on the box scrapper, didn't do the rippers though. Gotta get a post hole digger, I'm on the fence for what make/model. In the desert so a little rocky, have lots to grade. Thanks again @@DanielWoodell
I get envious of people that have dirt. I mean, I have some, but it's in between a lot of rocks. (On a hill ... in Maine) That's why I have a 10 ft. backhoe on the back of my Kubota. Cheers everyone!
MADE YOURSELF ALOT MORE MOWING, LOOKS GOOD!!!
I really like his contouring skill.
Hi Daniel. Would you be able to make a detailed lesson type video on how you use your box blade? You are extremely good with yours.
I agree. Make the video Danial.
Awesome job!
Are you happy with your tractor or do you wish you would have gotten a bigger tractor?
How much does a tractor like this cost....I am looking for one that can grapple large logs and as well have a bucket on the front for moving dirt like you are doing..I am interested in setting up a wood mill so I will need a grappler for sure.
Nice time lapse, it's easier to see how to do it.
You also have very few rocks (compared to where I'm in in PA) .. at least that I can see. Well done ... you got me thinking about a box blade!
I have used the box blade in areas that are mostly hard pan, i ended up adding a log on top for more weight, i worked well. The box blade is definitely one of the best attachments for the tractor.
@@DanielWoodell we use a hla blade with wings wich converts to box blade works great
Awesome job sir. 👍👍
I’ve got an L3200 and love it. It surprises people (including the dealer) what can be done with it. My favorite attachment is the grapple. I wish I would have gotten the 3rd function factory installed rather than the dealer, the factory install is much cleaner. I did break one of the loaders lower pins but it broke due to operator error (asked a little too much of the loader).
Nice job on yard and video!
HI Dan. A while ago you talked about the dye u put in your transmission to allow to easelly see the level of oil on the dipstick. Would u mind sharing the dye information so i can buy it and use it on my Kubota B2301. Tks Richard
First thanks for sharing. I have a 4 in1 front and a landscape rake on the back on my L3830 The 4in1 is my fav all around fel tool
I'm glad I found your videos. 8m thinking about getting a L3200 HST, how's it work with the grapple?
Love my Kubotas . I have a b1700 , M4900su , svl75 great machines
Great video mate
comparatively, how do you think the L2501 would do with this?
Wow, impressive work. I need to get a box blade for sure.
Had a 3800 for a while. They are amazing tractors. Box blades are awesome. Nice video I subscribed.
Very good video and great work by the way! I've got a BX23S, and I'd love to try to tackle a job like that.
My friend says I’m not allowed to have fun with a tractor...it’s for work, NOT fun.....so I got a new friend. LOL!
Nice job!
Brilliant well done
awesome well thought out ! you and i are allot alike , thanks for the vid .
I'm like a kid in a candy store watching this; very fun to watch. I have a large project this Spring for my Kubota 2650 when the snow melts and everything dries up. I have 18 acres and a new house with a lot of dirt to move, I can't wait. I might as well video tape it like you did. For the time lapse, what time interval time would you suggest for doing the same type of work you did in this video. Thanks
Damn, now I wanna go dig some dirt but the grounds frozen and covered with snow... haha, guess I can plow instead!
How many hours on the tractor for this project?
Thanks for sharing.
Nice video
I can't imagine the amount of runoff you're gonna get until you plant grass. I would be planting grass that very day.
Your are correct the run off has been a little crazy!!! I did not think about that until it was to far into winter to plant grass live and learn.
Amazing work. It killed it.
Great video next time try using a chain or strap on the stump attached to the bucket so it would be faster and so so you dont disturb the soil you just smoothed out
Great video. Would this have been easier using a small dozer?
Yup but it would have cost more. and not made as good of a video.
Good job my man.
Viewing kind of late but if you are still monitoring, how many hours on just the dirt work?
Nice tractor. We have a MX5100 and hope it can do the same as yours.
Oby-1 A MX5100 would do the same thing a lot faster than this little L3200
looks like you had a lot of fun! I'm jelly! lol
Man I wish I had soil like that
I feel super sketchy when I’m on my tractor on the tiniest slopes. It freaks me out. I could never have done that.
Very nice
4:56 sounds like a pissed off RC truck
Looks good sir
How many hours did all of this take you and how many hours does your kubota have now?
Its hard to say i did this over about a year, if i had to guess i would say about 30Hrs. on the tractor.
Hey man when you're box scraping are you in 4x4 all the time?
Yup I leave my tractor in 4x4 98% of the time
I need to practice more to use my front bucket with the box blade!. Compared to you I look like an ammature even though my tractor is rated at 74HP.
The box blade would operate a bit better had you lengthened the top link and let that blade really do the work. Nevermind I watched the whole video lol
Dude Eye Loved Your Video. Man Eye Can't Wait To Do The Same. Dope Vid Man.
Wow! Great video! You moved an amazing amount of dirt! How many hours did you put on the tractor doing this project?
Hy man, your propriety is great how big it is?
Great video
all I can say is, "dude you can really work that tractor".
How many hours does your tractor have now ?
Nice video, what type of camera are you using. Thanks
It’s a Canon 80D and also a Brinno TLC200 Pro Time lapse.
Cool
Dust, hahaha, try this in New Mexico...then you’ll see what dust looks like. If I fart in my house I have to dig my cat out after.
That’s 😁 funny
Will make ya a pro box blading
wow your fast
r 420 is the best for this kind of job
Good video thanks. When the sun is in your eyes you kinda look like the devil 😬
4:36 this thing would be nice with electric motor or drill adapter
What part in wa tenino here
