with all the compact tractors being sold in the last few years...id really like to see an american company biuld impliments just for sub compact, like hay handling ..rake.. baler cutters...ect..not made in china !!! and not cost a chitload of money
Amen....we can always depend on Everything Attachments to make quality American implements....maybe they'll come out with a compact bailer
The compact vs full size is interesting. I see compact tractors and mini excavators go for more $ used than the big ones on the used market. 🙂 Mini balers are more expensive new than the full size used ones too! Equipment is a strange space.
"not made in china !!! and not cost a chitload of money"
choose one, higher labor costs have to be paid somehow or do you want to work for $3.50? well then just do it yourself
these b series tractors are great uses for towns and cities sidewalk tractor and street maintance
@@Deutschehordenelite lol
We have the B 2920 and love it. The past 5 years I have had zero breakdowns, and it's done everything asked of it.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and the Mrs, Josh.
Quite early today!
Love you. Be well. Stay solid.
I have an older 19hp "gray market" Kubota 4x4 and its bulletproof. A real little beast. Does WAY more than I ever thought it could for its size.
I had a b7001, 40 years old, was indestructible, sold it last week for more money then I bought it 10 years ago.
I only have one acre in the Eastern Sierra foothills. I bought a Kubota bx23s for my garden. I love it and its so perfect for me to do all my planting and cleaning up. What a wonderful time I have driving it around.
I enjoyed your video. I'm purchasing a small 18 acres of land, trees, wetlands and I negotiated the previous owner's Kubota tractor. This just made me feel so much better about my purchase. Thank you for putting it together. I also appreciate you mentioning your size, because I believe that if you can get something that is small, well built and functional, you'll use it. Perfect.
Awesome!! I hope you're a subscriber to the vlogs...lots of valuable land lessons in my videos...clearing...cutting timber...ditching driveways...building a homestead!
Buy a 30horse
I have a small tractor for my yard I have a TroyBilt lawn tractor I have to change the oil and filter but it has it's ups and downs as well
Happy Thanksgiving hope you and your family have a great time this weekend
GOD bless you all!!!
Women will love the small Kubota. I have 5 acres of land and my BX2200 was the best purchase. At a 4 ft width, it is small enough to maneuver between garden beds. I move mulch and rocks, have brushhogged, turned my huge compost heap. There are times when I wish the bucket was bigger or I had more power, but it has been reliable and it's easy to operate. I do wish the oil filter was a little easier to get to. As I get older, the tractor takes over more of my work, but it's 18 yrs old now.
I'm with you on the dip stick Iv'e had three dif tractors a Massey, Mahindra, and now a RK55 and all three was really hard to get to dip stick to check the oil
Is that a “our Wyoming life” T-shirt?! I love mike and Erin!! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Josh you forgot about the emissions buttons, you said you would explain them.
Thanks for the update about the Kubota I know you had hydraulic problems with it looks like you got it fixed once again thanks for the video and you have a very good Thanksgiving
Thanks (from Australia) for this review. I have a B3030 which is a predecessor to this. Very similar but only 29hp. All the things you don't like are the same on the B3030. But pretty much all the things you do like are the same too. I use it on our 35 acres. Seems about right for that
Thank you! This was very helpful as I am in the market for a tractor!
Look up the Tractor Mike, Outdoors with the Morgans, and Messick's channels. They are very helpful.
We have a Kubota, my other half is a trucker, not home a lot. I can do what ever needs to be done on my own , I just love it! Now with the snow , it is my new best friend , this winter will not be as hard as it has been in the past... Oh by the way I did and still do have another tractor, it's a 1951 international it has it's place in my life, but the Kubota has stolen my heart..lol
Just purchased a Kubota LX2610, I’ve been amazed at what this little guy can do (live on a farm and have lots of large equipment). Not only does it have the power needed to do almost anything you throw at it, but it sips diesel (only put 9 gallons in it over 22 hours of pretty hard use (dug out and installed a new farm lane and have hauled dozens of trees that fell in a storm 2 weeks ago. I easily would have put double in our JD 2040 and quadruple in our big 75hp Massey. It has its limitations (not a great digger, but great mover and grader). It’s my first new tractor and the drive and comfort is top notch.
I have only 3 acres and been looking to get one of these compact tractors like this one
FINALLY! You talk about your size hahaha. I've never met a Kubota owner that had a complaint. My brother-in-law has I believe an 8950 and he just loves it, it's an older Kubota...pre emissions 👍
Happy Thanksgiving Josh and family at Stoney Ridge Farm!
Great video Josh!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Mrs Stoney Ridge!!!
I've had a large garden tractor with a loader (Deere 400) and a sub compact with a loader (Kubota b7100). That Kubota would run circles around the Deere. Not sure why they get such a bad rap sub-compacts are an amazing tool!
I think this size tractor is handy on a big ranch or farm. I have a John Deere 770 that we can haul in a gooseneck trailer. Used it building fence, reseeding oil well locations and cleaning up the corrals and mowing. More mobile that a skid steer but handy in sheds and tight places.
Thanks for sharing your experience about a tractor. I have about 35 clear acres. My question is What horse power do I need to bales the hay and what attachments do I need please help thank you very much.
great honest review...thanks for providing this type of content happy thanksgiving
i have a bx1860 6 years old that i abuse and love it my fuel tank is at the back rear fender dip stick is easy acces ...i move logs 32 inches in diameter 12 feet long with mine ...not rated for that but gets the job done ....the onlt thing i have broke on it was the bucket pin ..cost 3 dollars an 50 cents to repair im 6-2 220 pounds and it feals comfortable for me ....i cant praise it enough ...paid 15k for it with tiller and brush hog and front bucket ...made my own quick attach forks for about 100 bucks
If you want to take a few pounds of, check out the "KETO" lifestyle. I started on Aug 3 and have lost 40#,s as of Dec 14. I eat really good and love this diet and so does my wife. Btw I have a Kubota L3130 and it does all I need on my five acres...
Good review Looked like a beautiful fall day in NC
Happy Thanksgiving to u and your Wife Hope u have a wonderful Day
Split between the two orange brands but leaning towards Kioti, myself. Their tractors solve many of your criticisms. Plus they have simpler analog gauges, dont have that dumb rocker pedal, have a couple things come standard that Kubota charges for (like the quick attach loader mount), and lastly it seems they work a little harder to get you in with some of their "packaged" implement incentives.
radiator clean very good. every thing you need i want one.
I have a kubota L185 it's old but starts easy and works well with the front dump, 4 foot box blade and bush hog. The only issue is that some parts are kinda hard to find but if you have the room you can find them for sale easily for parts or to exchange out for the one in better shape
you didnt talk about the emissions control on the tractor ... was looking forward to what you thought about it etc
I have an LS 3033H tractor bought brand new. It has over 400 hours.Four wheel drive also. Changed oil and hydro filters It doesn't have emissions like newer ones. I'm 6'5" 245 pounds leg room could be better but then cars aren't much better either for leg room. My fuel tank is in the back fairly easy to fill. To make steering easier I put a spinning knob on.
we sold 5 kubota b3350 to the city of newbrunswick canada for doing sidewalks and street sweeping
Happy Thanksgiving you you & yours!
Thanks for the review....
You are very welcome
That's a nice Kubota. Thank you for the review Josh. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your wife and family
yeah were selling them for $29,800 with loader or we can mount a front mounted 3point hitch kits with remotes as optional
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours........America
I think it's a beautiful tractor like any tractor it has it's ups and downs
Buy at least a 30 horse.You won’t regret it. I love my Kubota 31 Grand 4x4 hydrostatic. A front loader is a must !
Powerful tractor
Just bought a kioti ck 2510 hydrostat. So far so good. Got to get a grapple. Wish list. Ha.
Best attachment I bought so far is the grapple. Should have bought it sooner.
Yes Josh that tractor looks a bit small for you! you are a big guy!
hope you a mrs. Stoney Ridge have a great Thanksgiving. Enjoy.
Thanks for the video homeboy an thanks for the info
Josh, great review of a great small tractor. I think for your size of property you might want to consider the Kubota L or MX series.
Could you raise the loader to gain easier access to oil dipstick? I hope you and your family have a happy thanksgiving!
The foot control on the left locks the rear differential. Handy if one tire is spinning and the other is not.
Love my 2019 massey 1735m very nice tractor no def fluid needed no burn off very nice unit
adventure rhoades 1705 with loader owner, awesome for maintaining 15 acres & gravel driveway. Mow 6 with a Bobcat 62 commercial zero turn, couldn't imagine using a belly mower.
Have a 2017 1736 with 5hrs @ 61% payed off, what a presision piece of machinery! A friend bought the new 2019 1735 , side by side comparison , his is 30% louder [ Diesel rattle like all pre- emissions ; all brands] Just progress I guess. Have a 2017 kubota mx5200 gear TLB 560hrs 64% paid off, its agreat unit; quiet as a mouse just like the massey 1736. Have 1988 MF 1020 3500$ unit with 1800hrs hydro-static very low wine, lowest of any of 25 tractors ever been on. My opion [ Best type, size, brand, trany, H.P. tractor is the one thats paid off and you logged 2000 - 4000hours of respectable ,reliable service. All new tractors with less than 500hrs are yet to be proven. So get them paid off, rack up good real work, lots of safe hours. Just about anybody can get a loan on a unit and thrash it on Utub. Show and tell should be informative, instuctive, entertaning, safe, and non-distructive to enviroment and life.
I have B2630, older 3-cylinder version of B3350. The hood-stay is way better on mine. I suspect the emissions crap on the 3350 caused the change.
What are the emissions buttons on the dash?
I know of other kubota owners and they are happy, theirs is not like a lawn mower like that one but they do mow with the attachment. I want a bigger real tractor look and feel to my 'tractor" Thanks for sharing this vid and Happy Thanksgiving.
Dont forget i make this tractor look smaller than it really is. Im about the size of the average NFL linebacker
You are a climbable guy, a real guy like my hubby. Still want a better feeling and looking tractor, to each our own. lol
Rebecca Haughn Get a Deere. Has he reviewed his JD yet?
Stoney Ridge Farmer NFL QB actually. Can you throw a tight spiral?
I'm looking at the BX2680 for my 1 acre property....need a little bit more than what my lawn tractor can do LOL. Tons of stuff that a tractor would save a lot of time and work by having around the property.
I bought a tralor for it for $65 I built it myself it works great it's a dump body trailer
I have an older Kubota compact tractor with 4700 hours and I have worked it to death. I don't abuse my equipment, but they definitely get used hard. That thing always starts even in the cold, it drives nice, the hydro is still strong, and the bucket still works (sort of). I have racked around 4700 hours on that machine and I have had it since it was brand new.
The engine is probably the most reliable part on this tractor, and I have only needed to replace the water pump, alternator, and some rubber and steel lines here and there. There is no emissions bs on it so it isn't choked up like a lot of the newer ones. It doesn't smoke unless it's really loaded, but that's what diesels do. It's also very fuel efficient and fairly powerful. Not as powerful as some of my John Deere's, but still plenty to get the job done.
As for the rest of the machine, things break and wear out after +20 years and 4700 hours. The hydraulic controls for the bucket are completely worn out and sloppy, so being accurate with the bucket is not easy. I sometimes need to coax the gear selector to make it work, and the tires are pretty worn down (they are expensive). I'm probably going to fix it, but in the end it is the little beater tractor that refuses to die. I will use that little Kubota until the engine blows or it rusts out.
I bought a Kubota 31 Grand model with a front loader 15 years ago. No leaks in the tractor! It’s a 4x4 with the fat industrial tires . I got the hydronic leaks in the front loader fixed because I abused the hell out of it! I used it like a bulldozer ! The 31 Grand is hydrostatic like a riding lawn mower . I love it! It’s a perfect size tractor for small acreage .My oil stick is easily located with out pooping the hood . Don’t buy too samall of a tractor
Happy Thanksgiving, 2 All ! JOSH! I
I'm a "buy American" guy too, unfortunately when I was tractor shopping in 2010 my researched showed me that there was only 1 truly American made tractor at that time. It was the JD M series 5065M was the specific tractor I would have bought but I couldn't find one plus it was about 10k more than the Kubota I did buy. The JD 5065E that I did look at was made in India. I'll just say that it was easy to see why that JD was cheaper than the Kubota. Happy Thanksgiving.
A John Deere 5065e will run circles around the MX5200
@@chasetemple3129 It should since it's got more horse power and weighs more. However, my doubts are with the quality and logevity of the "E" models at least the 45-65hp models.
Also since this video was posted, Josh has had issues with his tractor although he hasn't done a "review" type video of the issues but he has made mention of them in a couple different videos. I'm not trying to make anyone buy any particular brand I'm just stating my opinion.
What kind of pricing is that new or used? Thanks.
But hey mad respect I’ve had a 2003 m6800 since we’ll late 2002. And I think I’ve changed the oil 4 times and it has 6210 hrs on it
I have 3 acres of heavily wooded land on the lake oak trees everywhere. Looking for something to help maintain my property. What do you suggest. My front yard is 3/4 acre and has 97 oak trees small and big lol. Professional advised would be awesome.
Nice hat Stoney ridge farmers whoooo
very nice review. Kubota very good on farms i hear too. as i use Kubota z122r 42' for grass cutting company. veeery cool machines
yeah the dealer has 141hp m6-141 with M51loader,bucket,forks,snowblowerand hla blade package for $99,000 wich cant beat that great package deals with 6 year warranty
$30,000 0n Kubota 250z or 350z 42" lawn mower back then. Owner bought brand new lasted and still runs like a champ. Awesome machinery.
6' 5" big dude.................. great content my friend.................
My family has a kubota and its way over 30 years old... Dono what your smoking but its still running strong and the engine is MINT
not sure that you watched this video buddy
Their is a kubota shop in Fayetteville NC
How about some info on wet and flooded feilds vs dry feilds
Happy Thanksgiving God bless
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!
Great review, keep up the good work happy 🐻
The America made tractors and implements are made for the Big farmers , John Deere has a line of compact tractors and implements for the hobby farmer but are kinda expensive, that’s why people buy foreign made stuff and the people are usually small in size and amount of land they farm outside the USA , that’s what I was told by a dealer .
Does that pedal really lock all four wheels or just the back two? Nice video.
Don' t. Be hard on your self! If you were out of shape would be one thing but you are a hard working man! Happy Thanksgivings and enjoy the Turkey,Ham or whatever pleases you and Mrs.Stoney Ridge!
Did you make that video about which tractor to get? I went to your collection & couldn't spot it. Can you point me to it please?
I have an L3301 and am considering an EA grapple. Are they the best in your opinion? BTW I love the channel! By far my favorite.
Great video as always. I would recommend watching the Messick's youtube channel for some great info on the Kubota tractors. He discuses the features of each model like (B,L, M etc) and the application for each. I spent years looking for a tractor for my little 14 acres. I ended up with the Kubota L2501. I found that the B series was great but not enough weight for what I needed. It also is a much larger frame than the. Also price wise it was not much more in cost comparison to the B. The B you have has some more 'luxury' features with ergonomics but I liked what I 'could do'. We live down the road from you all in Mocksville.
Yep he's got a great channel...not a consumer channel but very helpful indeed.
We use a L-Series on a 40 acre plot. The plot is hilly but that tractor is a beast. And it will start in the cold of winter with out being fazed. The Japanese really do make some reliable stuff. And in all honesty I don’t care where stuff is made/designed as long as it works well and is a quality product.
I have a B3300 and fit perfect since I am 5’ 6”. I have 16acres and would love a bigger tractor like the Kubota “L” series for heavier work. However, it’s heavily wooded with post oak and would have a hard time navigating between trees so my “B” series will have to do so long as I do small bites at a time. After all, why take all the fun away by getting things done sooner. 🤙🏽. P.s, saving up for that grapple.
Excellent video
How would rate this tractor to plow and move snow?
What is that attachment behind your tractor?
I have a 3800 HST 2012 Bought new, will only lift about 1000 lbs with front bucket and the fuel pump went out at about 600 hrs. Disconnected it runs alright, I wish it would lift more weight.
You may have to shim your relief valve. Sounds like it's dumping over too early. I have the same machine, same year even and I can easily pick up around 1400 lbs on fel
Nice review Josh 😀
can you do video of Grand National. i would really love to hear that bad boy start up.
I think we're getting a Kubota soon but I think what we's gonna do is trade in a John Deere we have out in the yard for it because it's broken and sorta an antique of the early 2000s era. Plus we already have a smaller one. That reminds me, we're gonna have to bring home the Kubota soon from the farm cause the grass is getting to tall.
Yep....mowing season is coming !!
I have not seen a rotatiller attachment for tractor?
It does look like a very handy tractor. They don’t make one tractor that does everything perfectly for everyone.
The fwd/rev foot pedal looks awkward to me. I had a 1984 B8200HST and the pedal was way more convenient in size and placement than the one in the video appears to be.
Happy Turkey Day!
Happy Thanksgiving Josh... It's too small for me... I need 2x that tractor minimum...
Little tractor. Big features.
oh my 6-5 super strong too, saw that right away typing as u say it lol need biiger beast ur able to do same as that litle toy hand to hand farming lol kool video
amen
I'm 6'2" and weight about 220#, I use Mahindra Max 28xl HST on my acreage. I to don't like where the dipstick is located (next to the cowling) but with smaller engines (3 cylinder) there is not much space due to compactness. I have worked my tractor hard, it has never failed me. I have a loader with grapple attached to my bucket, backhoe, 5ft box blade, 5ft landpride rotary mower, 5ft King Kutter finish mower, 5ft disk, 6ft landpride landscape rake. I have cleared underbrush and 18"+ diameter trees. These compact tractors are meant to work hard in densely woody areas. I wouldn't hesitate using this tractor bailing hay.
Good Luck with the Kubota. Enjoy your service and show! You might think about fencing your land for deer not cattle!
My tractor has a fetur for safety if you come off the seat it shuts off attomaticly
Mike Benoit you mean your mower.
Good review, i was about to go buy one until you warned me about that oil stick lol jk, i agree. They for sure need to send you a bigger tractor for your size, that tractor would be great for me but not for a 6"5 giant lol. Have a great Thanksgiving brother.
Hahahaha
As long as they let me use it...I'm gonna put ut to work!! Its a great little workhorse
hey dutch check out some other models of kabota my little kabota is easy to check the oil nothing like the one in this video ....but with im sitting on my kabota it would look like an elephant on a vw lol
The more kubota videos i watch the morexi notice the hydro is REALLY noisy! Hopefully the cvt on the larger 60hp mx and grand l are quieter. I havent noticed nh and deere being that loud
Do a video on how much you make off you tube including ad sense. Monthly . happy thanksgiving. Nice tractor
I have both full size and compact tractors and I think of them as different size wrenches. Both have a place in my toolbox and both have applications. Regardless of the size of the land this remains true. Say you get a lot of rain (like we have been) and the ground is soft...compact is king. Say you need to do something on a small scale like till a small food plot...compact is king. You can manipulate the attachments by hand usually which is also nice. I like that it isn’t a big effort to swap an implement and just go do something quick where I avoid swapping implements on the bigger machines. Say you need to get in some tighter spots like when clearing land...compact will be handy - especially where height and size prevents precision mowing. The compacts are best for a good percentage of daily farm tasks. Now, there is nothing like a full size tractor when you are doing some real work - like clearing large areas or lifting big stuff. The Deere with the loader and the Kubota compact should together meet most of your needs. I always find excuses for another tractor 🙂.
Best comment Ive had in a long time brotha...ryanks so much. You're 100% right
Stoney Ridge Farmer compact is especially handy when it’s just one guy running all the equipment and the mrs is in the house most of the time. I’m a solo homesteader/farmer at times 🙂.

General repair
How often do you use the grapple? Could you do without it or do you consider it an essential tool?
I'd put it on my top 4 list....soon I'll do a video about my top 5 implements to have on the farm
You mentioned that it's important to check the filter for the radiator. Is this the case with all tractors? Do they all have the possibility to get easily jammed up, or is this something particular to this one?
I've got a B7800 very similar to the one in this video. Critical to check that radiator screen, especially when bush hogging. I use compressed air to blow them out as well as the screens on the hood and sides. Grass and dust will get in the screens and the engine can't breathe, which will cause it to run hot really fast. So do be sure and keep an eye on that.
very strong tractor
I like your display picture
@@aluckyshot very good
Another thing to remember is that although Kubota is a Japanese company you're employing Americans to build bbn if if you buy one, I'm all for American companies but I also support Toyota trucks and Kubotas because they employ southerns!
