This is the greatest Corvette made. It had all the traditionally things that made Corvette Corvette but it was the first model than smoked many other cars from Europe without being all wheel drive and was a true drivers car. I will never forget in 2009 having this car as my screen saver everywhere.
Thank you that really means a lot. I tried to step up production quality for this one and hope to keep improving. Glad it made a difference and welcome to the channel!
The Jetstream Blue actually was on three years of the ZR1 (2009, 2010, and 2011 for a total of 465). The LS9 (LS7 ZO6, too) was also a hand built motor with the engine builders name attached to the supercharger cooler lid on the drivers side. All ZR1's vin numbers are in sequential order starting over each year. Great video everything you said was spot on.

I think I have watched EVERY C6 ZR1 video on RUclips so thank you for the new video. FYI, JSB was available on the ZR1 for three years. 2009, 2010, 2011 with 2011 being the smallest production number year for the color at 61. I read that it was stopped early in the year as some derivative for the color came from Japan and of course the country suffered a major earthquake in 2011 which ceased the paint code, of course I can’t locate the article now but anyways….great job!
Yes I noticed that mistake. I think I said two with the poor math of 2011-2009=2 years which is disappointing as I’m a mechanical engineer lol. I was unaware of the earthquake situation but that is very intriguing. Thanks for the info and welcome to the channel! Glad you enjoyed the video.

Thanks for watching and the cyber gray looks great as well! My comparison to a Viper was to a 2015 Gen 5 GTS I drove rather than the older versions. The clutch and trans in that car were very heavy, and I probably should’ve said which year. I’m sure they probably feel quite different, but that was my takeaway from it.
Here there @running2redline Great content! I enjoyed the balance of technical with experiential! Are you the owner of both Vettes? 2019 C7 Z06 M7 owner here which is somewhat similar to the C6 ZR1 and overall I'm a big fan of the C6 generation!
Hey Caleb. First off i appreciate the compliment and welcome you to the channel! Also, no., I only own the base model and lent the ZR1 from a close friend for this video. The C7Z is a great car so enjoy it, especially with the 7 speed as the 7th gear makes the car so livable IMO (only ever say passenger in one). The C6 is great but I think the C7 mostly beats it on the interior side. Thanks for watching.
Thank you I really appreciate that. That’s a good question, the owner installed aftermarket front parking sensors that beep a speaker in the cabin when you’re close to a curb to protect that precious carbon front lip
You did not show the back of the car, the trunk space, and most importantly THE EXHAUST NOTE. Revs and a cold start will give your video 50% more replay value.
I fixed this for my most recent C8 review, the reasoning was to not reveal the owners plate info, which I had no method of dealing with at the time. Since then, I simply take it off or cover it, and was hoping the exhaust note was ample within the POV driving portion, but advice taken that I need more outside audio. I appreciate the input and thank you for watching!
Peak GM. Nothing can ever top this. This Vette challenged the best of the best of Europe for a fraction of the price. Every ZR1 since has failed to beat the European competition, despite the price going to exponentially.
Corvette fans may attack me for what I'm writing, but in my opinion, the C6 is the last nice Corvette and every subsequent one didn't have this thing. It's a pity that they gave up those characteristic round lamps at the back.
