Lemon juice 1tsp
Unsalted butter 110g｜1/2cup
Sugar 110g｜1/2cup
Whole egg 2 (55g+- an egg)
Cake flour 200g｜1,1/2cup
Baking powder 1tsp
Poppy seed 30g｜1/4cup
Lemon zest 1Tbsp
Powdered sugar 60g｜1/2cup
Lemon juice 20ml

Made this cake yesterday ❤ it was delicious.. didn’t have poppy seeds so increased the cake flour 🎉came out perfect.. lemon glaze took it to next level 🎉love your content ❤

You can check proportions but a great substitute is a chickpeas flour and water mixture. I use it for a vegan brioche and works perfectly

Where is the salt? why there's no balance without salt! I disagree on this one as a baker that I have been for 45 years a cake without salt doesn't have a good after taste!
I am a great Italian baker, and there are cakes that need salt BUT there are cakes that do NOT need salt.

Please stay calm and add salt if you so desire. This particular recipe doesn’t have salt added.
There are recipes galore which don’t need salt. And that’s fine 🎉 anyone can however add if they so desire
