- This place on the A15 road, you'd think that heaven just fell on to the earth in the form of low flying planes.
A big thanks to RUclipsr bobsurgranny, for all the advice about this place. - Авто/Мото
2:07 HOLY SHIT! A Saab Viggen! Rare sight these days!
Umm.... Saab viggen is a yep!
Dude. that last pass(Vulcan) was epic, Ive got goosebumps.. lol
I always like to go into a airshow one day, then watch from outside on the other day.
Ok
Where is the airshow
I knew that the thumbnail was a Vulcan, not dissapointed: 2:55
What a fantastic way to spend a warm summer afternoon..........superb...!!!!
This is a superb video. I remember the Dayton Air Show in Dayton, Ohio, and it brings back the memories of those shows. I saw Harriers, F-14s, Blue Angels, C-5, C-130, and F-16s. I walked through the C-5. There's a ladder up the inside of the fuselage to get to the cockpit.
The sounds are just amazing. I recommend everyone go to an airshow which has at least 1 jet aircraft, just to see. Harriers are great, but the big ones are great too, like 747s or big military cargo jet planes.
Very nice! Glad to see the Brits love to get out and see their planes as much as we do in America!
It would be great to see a B-1 in the UK.
Wonkabar007 where is that place?
Simon Burgers RAF Waddington ,UK
when its not pissing down with rain...
It looks a better than typical weather day at Washington.
Vulcan
Awesome views you get there but none as awesome as when I was stationed there back in the 70's ... End of exercise culminated in the scramble and launch of 4 squadrons of Vulcans ... 16 of those beauties taking to the air as one .. AWESOME!!
One of the best videos on RUclips.
The Vulcan bomber, what a truly magnificent beast that is.saw it at RNAS Yeovilton this year and talking to the vulcan support and fundraising crew.2015 is "possibly" the last year it will fly. because it needs work carrying out on the wings,, But for something that colossal and ENGLISH to still be in service ,is truly wonderfu. I suppose birmingham did have its good points after all. The Vulcan, The Lancaster etc etc, all made by A V Rowe and sons, . For you young ones out there ,thats where the word "avro" comes from. Best of british..
It will be a massive loss to the UK airshow scene, when it is finally grounded.
A 1950s bomber that flew 8.000 miles to scare the crap out of a South American junta.
It's like the Concorde story all over again but with less crashes and a good piece of British construction it will be truly missed
It's always the "Last Year" for the Vulcan. S'pose the begging bowl will be out again. They can have my fiver if it helps buy a couple of rivets.
For us americans too, I grew up in love with vulcan, it is one of the most unique of the big bombers and it was English built because you guys have a history of the taken the different to get something done, and it works!!! Cheers
Absolutely superb. No other way of describing this.
Top drawer video. It looks like that was some day!!
Thanks for sharing.
And the beautiful, beautiful summer 2013 all over Europe! Liked it so much
Alten: And that was the first summer in 50 years I believe
People a little while later, eating their toast: 'Does this taste like jet exhaust to you?'
Love that beautiful recognisable whistling the Avro Vulcan makes! :)
Awesome stuff. Worth any minute and hats off literally!:)
Excellent camera work... smooth, centered and steady. This brought back fond memories of hanging out at the approach end of Madera's RWY 30 on Friday night before the Gathering of Warbirds back in the '80s. Didn't shoot video, but got some of the best warbird photos of my life there.
Awesome experience. Thanks for sharing those moments.
The Vulcan out-Bats BatMan for Batishness. Wonderful.
I don't like the Avro Vulcan, it looks sooo ugly! Why can't it have changeable wing angles like the F-14 does!!
SpeedDemonGaming Because the Vulcan was a strategic bomber, not a fighter that would have to shift between low and high speed manoeuvres all the time. Nor did it have to land on a carrier (which is the main reason the F14 was sweep wing, for low speed landing stability).
Excellent vid looking forward to waddington this year !
Great video. Thanks for posting
Great bit of footage. Thanks for sharing.
Spectacular footage!
the last one was the best... one morning back in the 70's i was just leaving the chow hall, getting ready to depart Mildenhall, and i heard this unusual growling howl coming from above... as i looked in the general direction i caught a glimpse of a strange delta winged creature, it's wings spread, clawing its way into the dawn sky as it past nearly overhead... THX for uploading this...

VERY COOL...TY Wonkabar007 for the post....I grew up as a USAF brat in the States...Dad was a pilot until he had a terrible accident...survived but taught helicopter flying after that till he retired as a Colonel. Air Shows are really tuff to beat!! Cheers
Thanks for sharing! Lovely sounds!
I have always been impressed by the Vulvan. We used to see them passing over our house back in the 1970's from time to time - so quietly.
Love your malapropism! Vulvan - priceless!
Outstanding!!
great footage, i have some good speakers etc. cranked in HD.. i had a flash back to that scene in wayns world, where they sit on the hood and watch the jets land. heh. flash back to my youth, time sure flys. i love every thing that goes fast be it on on ground, or the sky. rock on.
Great Video, hoping to sit there this year.
Wow and amazing from Puerto Rico...
"Hello, can you hear me?
I SAID HELLO, CAN YOU HEAR ME?!
Oh, another Vulcan fan. NEVERMIND THEN!"
I think the Vulcan has to be one of the best if not the best aircraft ever made. That Vulcan roar is unforgettable. As is the permanent hearing loss ;)
Good job Wonkabar007 on not ducking for cover when the Vulcan came in!
This is an awesome video.. Wow.
good video. great spot. great hi speed low fly by too.. txxx
Great place to see aircraft.
The Vulcan is simply the most impressive aircraft I've ever seen for sheer noise, grace and intimidation factor.
I saw it at Scarborough and it is like a giant, noisy moth. Awesome.
Love it! Get a load of that jet wash!! Awesome!
Anicdote for those who are interested. The pilot of the Vulcan Martin Withers DFC is the reason there are stop lights for vehicles at waddington. Long story short the landing gear hit the fence. My dad who was based there in the 70s told me. I was brought up not 2 miles down the road.
Great video, and you saved the best for the last.
Wow, Awesome footage, what a spot!
Great series, thanks!
Ive seen some video of Farnborough from those times, its amazing seeing the jets so low and fast.
Loved this!! Thanks alot.
Excellent video, which the planes pass near. Saludos
Very cool!!! Thanks for the post...

The last shot so awesome!
The Vulcan is an absolute beast. It practically blocked out the sun at the Bournemouth Air Show. Awesome.
Wow another stunning video fantastic well done very jealous looked like a grand day out :)
Utterly Brilliant!
Absolutely marvellous.. :)
Awesome Video, really enjoyed it!
Brilliant, thanks.
nice viewing spot . good vid .cheers
My Dad was an airframe tech in the RCAF and helped out on a hydraulic problem on a visiting Vulcan. He liked that aircraft.
Super ! il est génial cet endroit pour voir les avions !
Awesome aircrafts! Stunning video!
awesome stuff!!
1:50 ! amazing thanks for the upload
Fantastic!!!
This is AWESOME!!!
Brilliant !!!!!!.. ❤️
This is my dream observation area! Not only for it's close proximity - but the amount of traffic and diverse aircraft is UNBELIEVEABLE! WOW!
you should not as it is quite dangerous, as sometimes the planes clip the fence as well as it might damage your ears.
I remember in the 70's seeing similar views of Vulcans, but on take off, coming directly overhead at very low level. Unforgettable. They remain one of my favourite aircraft.
What an awesome video!
Awesome footage - thanks for posting!
Great footage!
Cool video. Thanks for posting.
Excellent video. Especially liked the Vulcan take-off. Like Louis, I am surprised that the public were allowed to be so close to the end of a runway of a military airfield. Lucky for you (and us viewers) that they were!!!!
Excellent video! ♥brize
I loved it when that Saab Grippen came in, and a few hats were taken by the wash.
Fantastic! A Great Place Indeed! Thanks Much! :-)
The new San Marteen . excellent job!
This is amazing ....
3:00 the Vulcan is just breathtaking in every single way. I've been lucky enough to actually sit in the cockpit of one (well Navigators chair to be more accurate..) and it's just awe inspiring. Nice video, thank you for posting.
Was it the one at Coventry? I've been in that one!
