As a teenager I played this album every day. On my headphones getting lost in the music and the stories. "Token of time" is really a song from this album that I hope you do next because it meant so much to me as a young guy :D Also love how silly you guys are, really a cool relationship :D Fun people!

This came out in 2001, their debut album. The second one "Iron" from 2004 is just as good.
I hold them equal :) Some standouts: Hero in a Dream, Token of Time, Little Dreamer, Old Man, Tale of Revenge, Sword Chant and Iron :)

I'd call this melodic death metal with strong hints of folk, also for their fist two albums Jari was still a member (on guitar and vocals) who then went on to Wintersun. This album was released in 2001 btw.

Saw them in concert a few times YEARS ago... of all places in North Carolina as they hit their North American tour. Itty bitty joint for as great as they are. But that just meant the pit was wall to wall. Their required reading includes Into Battle, Deathbringer, Smoking Ruins, and IRON! Much more toward the Folk end of the 'folk metal' spectrum is Eluveitie; check out Omnos, A Rose for Epona, Inis Mona, or The Call of the Mountains. Now ... if you wanna get REALLY f'n weird, saddle up to Fintroll for some Finish polka death metal - Under Bergets Rot or Solsagan.
