Can't forget The other mettinen, I forget his name, but Jukka's older brother is still playing the drums, I do believe. God, I miss the old days. Petri and Janne rock, but this is so much more raw and powerful. There was alot of blood, sweat and tears back then.
This is so powerful, great. I saw Ensiferum a few times between 2006 and 2012 live, but it has never been int his way. For me "Victory Songs" was the last descent album.
Newer stuff doesn't have a soul. It sounds like 'Ok, time to write bunch of new songs, because we have to'. Many bands suffer from this conveyor type of a scheme. New album - new tour - 2nd leg of new tour - New album - all over again.
@@TrulyStucker Yes, there are so many examples for that. The early releases mostly have so much more rawr power. Just listen to the first albums from Ensiferum, Amon Amarth, Sabaton, Saor, etc. and compare this to the newer ones... You wrote it already "its ok", but there should be more.. its not the same feeling while listening to their music.
Well, yes, that's why I always prefer quality over quantity and there are some bands that always deliver (to my years at least) - Devin Townsend, Falkenbach, Tool, Wintersun, Fear Factory etc etc. By the way, I kind of liked new SAOR record like the previous ones.
@@TrulyStucker Maybe Iam addicted to older releases, but the newer Wintersun releases didnt catch me in the way the first one did. But specially for me I guess that I really love the rawer sound of the first records. Sometimes the artistis dont have the money for superduper quality etc. and ists not perfect mixed or overtuned. For example the first Dismember album, a masterpiece. But in general I think that all of their albums are really good. I usually dont listen to Tool and Fear Factory, so Iam sorry, I cant tell anything about this bands.
@memorgh Whatever, but since Jari left Ensiferum, Ensiferum lost its sound (I don't refere just to the voice, but also to the ambience and the spirit of the whole thing), and most of the lyrics became pretty the same thing...May it be pure coincidence, but it seems Jari had much more influence inside the band that what people think/believe.
I absolutely agree with you here 100%. The atmosphere in the music was much better with Jari. There was more aggression and I think Ensiferum lost some of it's dark power when he left. The albums made after he was gone are really average, so he certainly had a big influence on their songwriting.
1 - Token Of Time 2 - Windrider 3 - Lost In Despair 4 - Treacherous Gods 5 - Hero In A Dream 6 - Abandoned 7 - Old Man 8 - Fight Fire With Fire (Metallica Cover)
@TrulyStucker thats correct gon\blins dance and eternal wait have never been played live sami said that in an interview a while back hoping to see that soon
i want them to bring jari back... theyre amazing live as it is, but i think jari does a much better job. i've seen them 3 times live and again as soon s they come back around.

@@bazhughes5625 While undoubtedly nothing beats the self titled and Iron, I think From Afar is pretty high up there
1 - Token Of Time
2 - Windrider
3 - Lost In Despair
4 - Treacherous Gods
5 - Hero In A Dream
6 - Abandoned
7 - Old Man
8 - Fight Fire With Fire (Metallica Cover)
great
hell yeah!! JARIIIIIIIIII

@TrulyStucker thats correct gon\blins dance and eternal wait have never been played live sami said that in an interview a while back hoping to see that soon
if i remember correctly, they played it when I saw them on the From Afar tour. Unless you mean never played it with Yari...
this drummer is a lot better than the one they have now, the drums are almost completely different
@yamasidious totally agree!
Fucking awesome!!!
i want them to bring jari back... theyre amazing live as it is, but i think jari does a much better job. i've seen them 3 times live and again as soon s they come back around.
I love Jukka's Windmills! he goes fucking crazy! I wish Sami could do that.
I really think he was their best drummer
fucking awesome! Jari is great :-D
@lkkjhg45 yeah! markus is ensiferum, markus is epic lyrics creator and the mind recharged of viking pride
@pb999999999 no, it is markus. wintersun is jari.
yeah no smogmachine, you can see the drummer who kicks ass! OLIVER FOKIN WAS THE KING AND MY FAVOURTE DRUMMER! ;)
TIME TIME TIME TIME
Could you tell me the correct song order of this concert?
Please tell me you Goblin´s dance live with jari, I wana see that so bad.
We need treacherous gods!
who was jari? Im just now getting into ensiferum so i don't know much of them.
you know if ensiferum plays goblin's dance song live ever?
@jbohler33 I don't think so, listen to Elusive Reaches and tell me that is not something that could have been on 'Ensiferum' or 'Iron'
@Kuifstaartje Well Jari has 1000 voices petri has... the same without the three 0's. yes. 1.
dear god,
please do something that "time" is finished soon ;(
Ensiferum IS Jari
Shit, Jukka-Pekka is only 19 here...
