I remember this. We went to go see family in Australia, so when we took the LAX to SYD flight, this played. I'm a huge NASCAR fan, but I knew about V8 Supercars' presence because of my relatives, so seeing this was really cool.
Virgin, Qantas, Air NZ, all excellent, but of course I like this one best. Where I live, nobody would think of making an air safety video that anyone would remember, or even pay attention to. Kudos.
God I miss seeing this, the last safety video they had. Took the SYD-LAX over a hundred times since I moved to Australia in 2011. Was V Australia back then. And I always had my favorite seat, 1K, every single flight and on the LAX - SYD I always had 1A. Loved the most recent refresh with the new bar and new BAE Aerospace lay flat J seats, that beat out the old 2-3-2 configuration in J. The 1-2-1 was the benchmark J product for any Transpacific flight. I never had a bad experience. Ground crew in check-in, in lounges and the flight crew were always so amazing. And Luke's food was great everytime. Will miss sitting at the bar have a few scotch neat and visiting with the crew. A wonderful era that I was happy to be a part of. Simply amazing. I'm not sure about this new VA and the market they are going after. Will leave Qantas to fill that void sadly. And after one, just one return flight on the A380 SYD-DFW return in F wasn't anything to write home about. Plus I can't stand that arrogant shit Alan Joyce. So going to be tough to choose who to fly with once the world opens up. It sure as hell won't be QF. Memories of a great time for Virgin.
That was entertaining but doubt it would be effective, bogans will not concentrate on any of the actual safety items preferring to look at the scenery etc. I am surprised the regulator allows this.
Such a disappointing video. Cars? Really? What does this have to do with flying or the brand? Too bad Virgin missed an opportunity here. I love innovative videos and cool concepts, but this one falls flat (and is annoyingly loud).

Do they have standard concussion test? As v8 Supercars certainly do not... oh so safe!

Far superior to British Airways annoying animated video
BORING...... GO AIR NEW ZEALAND
Air New Zealand is still better!

You probably don't understand the whole concept of having cars in the video. Virgin Australia sponsors the Supercars championship.
