To be honest, After 35 years with BA I think this is the best video we've ever produced. Everyone involved in it's production should be rightly very proud of this. Wonderful.
At 0:33 this woman was my flight attendant on flight BA0262 from LHR to Riyadh on July 19 she was incredible and gave us lots of hospitality she was extremely good at her job and yesterday I came back on flight BA0263 and I saw the ad and I was shocked so congrats
This was very well thought out. Kudos to BA on this. From the different countries (Scots) to the different dialects and accents of the UK from each cabin attendant (not all from South England), to the various time periods and use of the British English language over the last 300/400 years or so, to the 11% that make up the ethnic minorities of the UK. As a Black Brit, I definitely feel seen in both cultural, linguistic and ethnic ways, it's a lovely amalgamation of what makes the UK, the UK in 2024.
I agree. New Zealand has a more recent one now that is also lovely and focuses on Maori folktales. You should also check out the Air Canada one from two years ago that was filmed in every province and territory in Canada.
Well done BA. I could sit and watch their wonderful safety video's all evening. So professional and funny and how great they use real BA staff for the parts. Sometimes beats the rubbish we now get on UK TV.
I watched it for the first time on a flight from doha to London last week and by the end of it, i was smiling! It is cleverly curated, filled with british humour and culture. It is simply brilliant, the best in the market. Well done🎉

Amazing!!!! I am a flight attendant, working for another big airline and I must admit: the best safety video ever... Very British and very lovely and funny ❤❤❤❤
"AND THIS IS THE BRACE POSITION" Love it. Brilliant safety briefing. Looking forward to seeing it on the aircraft in October when flying to Tampa. Truly so british..😊
These are great. I remember when the first one of these was released a few years ago with a fantastic cast. The only challenge is when you are a frequent flyer, by the time this has been seen three or four times it becomes tired and you just want it to be over. To overcome this, we need a whole portfolio of these (perhaps six to ten different versions) to try to offer a new edutainment experience on more flights.
Recently rode British Airways between Pittsburg and Heathrow. One of the best flying experiences I've had. It included this safety video. I love the Brits 🥰
Btw no people is particularly fond of the Brits, not cos everyones an asshole but the Britis have played mischief practically in every corner of the world. If history were to judge the Brits, it won't be too kind I am sure

I always thought Air New Zealand ads were great but they've been a bit lacklustre lately in the last few years and this is so awesome, a breath of fresh air for BA! Well done!
Well, the whole idea for a storytelling "safety video" comes from Air New Zealands iconic "Lord of the rings"- safety video - merit to them!- and they simply can't topp that.
Pretty sure that is the first time i have ever watched a flight safety video, and I have been flying since I was a young child. More companies should take this approach!
These are more common in longer flights and also more expensive airlines. My entire life I've been flying low-cost around europe and when I finally took an intercontinental flight last year I was surprised by their videos. So far I've seen like 4, 2 from Delta and 2 from Air France (they update them every year I think!). Last year AirFrance's was fashion themed, this year Delta's is vacation resort themed!
This safety video definitely got my attention. I was completely captivated by it! Brilliant work by the team at BA who produced this - 10/10. I think British Airways might be back on form with their 'celestial contrivances navigating the skies'. Always prefer to fly the flag 🇬🇧 with BA where safety always comes first, with polite, friendly cabin crew and unbeatable British humour.

This is coming from an English Downton addict. This ad just seemed to be trying too hard, and the cross centuries references don’t work in my not humble opinion. What a superb safety film - engaging, instructive, intelligently made, beautifully acted, wonderfully scripted, with excellent production values and a delicious sense of humor that doesn’t get in the way of the message. I take off my chip straw bonnet to it!
It's been almost 30 years I traveled with BA, got a comparison to Lufthansa (those days)... Now, I hope, your quality doesn't lack your advertisements. 😊 (Even though this ad is nice)

Also, I have never seen a safety video before where they will actually pull the tab on the life vests!! It was great to see how they actually work. Worth the expense of the little CO2 carteidges used during the shooting of this film.
Brilliant, what a way to start a flight. All my recent flights with BA have been short haul where manual safety briefings are given, can just imagine the smiles from passengers lucky enough to watch this.
