Nice fish in the shallows Nev Pb target getting higher!... it gets harder to get PBs when you hit the 90s!....After 20 years of targeting flathead on lures down SE NSW I'm still stuck on 99cm and I've caught literally hundreds of croc size flathead... fish over 90 are very hard to come by especially in the shallows... I've only seen 3 lays that went a meter in all those years one lay was 140cm but low 80s are very common from my experience average croc size is low 80s so treat em with respect frothers.... look after those big fish like your mother because not many flatties get to the high 80s and 90s.

@@NevsFishing Could have been a meter I wade the shallows and the only measure I have is a meter on my rod!.....99cm keeps the dream alive lol yeah they are rare over 90....Have you caught many sickly flatties with no meat and their back bone sticking out like anorexic people?...

The swim bait flatty vid has to happen!! And I’m struggling with keeping hardbody lures lower than the surface have u got any tips or maybe lures that work well at staying lower than the actual surface hahaha

There's a good reason for that. I don't want to bring too much pressure to the areas I'm fishing, fairly simple. It's on the NSW coast

There wasn't anything flat about that beast. She was supersized and then some., well done. Onto to some healthy 1kg plus trout in central Vic this week with a 1.6kg Rainbow at the top mark. Shouldn't complain but I do miss living closer to the coast. Need a road/fishing trip soon to remedy. Cheers Nev for these Sunday vids. Look forward to them every weekend

What an absolutely fantastic lizard. Congrat's mate, onya.
If you get a chance try the swansea area near Newcastle in NSW... in the mid 70's I use to catch 90 cm ( 3 feet back in those days ) fltties pretty regular there and my PB was just over 41/2 feet long ( about 1.2 meters) with a head like a shovel... probably won't get ones like that anymore but there are still huge ones around.

From one Nev to another Nev, Great video as usual. Congrats on the PB. Love all the kayaking fishing. I think maybe early on you did a night session beach fishing around Venus Bay. Personally I'd like to see a couple more of those.
But having said that I think yur vids are top quality and I do enjoy them where ever they are shot.

wow - my PB flattie was also 88cm on 4lb braid - she made me swim to land her and she broke my net - so I know this experience. Ive actually given up fishing since - I just whisper the wildlife instead (including stingray).... fantastic!!!!!
