    I don't fish here anymore because it feels like a breeding ground, but once I hooked a ray that felt like I hooked a a car. There was no slowing it down. It's a great place for kayaking, with the ship graveyard around the corner and plenty of dolphins.

      @@addytrolla2535 I’ve wanted to catch a ray here for some time any suggestions on bait I’m guessing tommies? Yeah I don’t fish here after this video I think the same thing of it being a breeding ground!

      There used to be really big Bream there and some decent Salmon and Whiting. Even an occasional big Flathead or Mulloway. The last 8 or 10 years it's mainly babies there though. I'm sure you can still get a big Ray there. I've caught most of my biggesr Rays on Trumpeter. That's probably because I feel too bad to use a small KG or Salmon Trout. I think any small fish will work for Ray fishing. I usually cut the fins off and cut the belly open. That seems to attract big Rays. Enjoy your fishing bro!

      I've seen a few giant Ray carcasses on the beach with their wings cut off. One of them was almost as big as a small car. It had spines like a dinosaur. Pretty harsh to kill something that size but it would have fed a couple of families.

      Wow that’s massive indeed! I personally catch and release as I have in a previous video but if they enjoy the taste and have a family to feed I understand!

    Has anybody bothered eating the oysters there and the muscles. You can catch really decent-sized fish there I used to do West Lakes. Since I've gone 3 weeks ago to West Lakes everywhere you go where it used to be allowed to the fish it's no fishing no more now the residents have a really ruined it from the inlet.

    • @Whacked

      I’ve tried Westlakes inlet last few days and got nothing, but seen a group of guys in the no fishing area pull in 5 massive bream

      @SaMaNtHa.2023 28 дней назад +1

      @Whacked yep I totally agree with you I went where you're allowed to and I didn't catch poop. But there was a lot of people in the no fishing zone bringing in lots of King George whiting. I think the council needs to do a really good clean up around that area and dig it out a little bit so where they're is the fishing zone it's a more deeper a bit too.

  • @Antipodean33
    @Antipodean33 12 дней назад +1

    This area is where fish come to breed, personally I'd like to see this area banned for fishing because people are catching baby whiting and other decent fish like flathead and either destroying their mouths by ripping hooks out or with some people keeping them by the dozens. This is why our fishery is absolute crap nowadays compared to 60 years ago. Don't encourage people to fish here
