    This is the exact set up I am looking at except the 20 inch transom. I like idea of the Suzuki for the efi that gives you the one pull start.

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  4 года назад

      Yes, for sure get a 20 inch transom my friend.....I regret they didn't have a 20 in transom in stock, because now I am stuck with 15 inch shaft motors unless I do a plate or a mod.

    Iv been a Mercury guy my entire life, but think Suzuki has got them beat past few years. Price and Performance.

      Yes, I agree. I was also a Mercury fan . This motor is just amazing all the way around.

      Thank you Sir, I am liking the Suzuki so far ! I am now reaching 30 mph as I continue to break in the engine.

      Indeed it is a very quiet engine, on my Lowe uv1667 all i can hear when idling is my oarlocks rattling a little bit, otherwise its pretty whisper quiet!

    Thanks for the vid. I'm very interested in this outboard for my 14ft alumacraft jon (my 9.9 is just not cutting it for more than 1) How did you settle on Suzuki vs other makes? Have you speed tested your solo run yet? Thanks again

      Thanks the Suzuki had the weight , and price , and free shipping as well as reliability. It’s a perfect match for this boat.

      I have this suzuki 25hp outboard for a 16.5ft inflatable with oversized pontoons. We haven't taken the boat out yet but cranked it up a few times. It always starts with 1 pull. We normally do a half slow pull then let go then it will start with 1 full pull every time. You cant go wrong with a suzuki marine 4 stroke engine they are very reliable and price is better than other competitors. We also got a 5 year limited warranty when they were running a special, idk if they are still running the 5 yr warranty.

    Did you use the bolts to mount it to the transom?? If so did you raise the height of the motor at all before doing so?

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  4 года назад +1

      I just put it on direct with no adjustments. I did think about a rubber gasket to get an additional 1/4 inch, but decided I was at a good place and bolted it down. It performs just great as is. I'm at about 1/4 to a 1/2 under. No splash. I haven't really noticed any drag as this combo just perfect. Sorry for the late reply. You will love that DF30 of yours.

      I didn't use the bolts provided, I used stainless steel bolts instead, but I made sure to use rubber bushings on the inside of the transom to ensure they didn't come in contact with the aluminum.

      I have other videos on the mounting bolts and clearance.

    Think I know what I want for my 14 widebody legend.
    What's it like in fuel real time ??

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  3 года назад +2

      This engine is so good on fuel, it's ridiculous. The third cylinder really helps out on the power curve. I am new to Suzuki outboards, but I am very happy I chose this engine.

      @@1minibean awesome. Is it true to the one pull start? Thinking this is my spring purchase this year

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  3 года назад +2

      @@customfitment9396 pretty much, although I have electric start, the first few starts I didn’t have a battery yet and used the pull start and it took 2 pulls. Once warm it took only 1 pull.

    Is this motor 2 or 4 stroke ?

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  3 года назад

      4 stroke batteryless fuel injection.

    Is that the power trim version? If so how do you like it? Looking at getting the power trim but not sure if it’s worth the extra $$$..

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  4 года назад +1

      Ladd Campbell
      Not the power trim. Wish I had gotten it, it adds 20 lbs but worth the extra money. But I don’t mind just setting it in the best spot and leaving it there all day.

      Btw, what is your top speed on this motor with that 14ft?

    • @1minibean
      @1minibean  4 года назад +1

      Ladd Campbell
      I’m getting 28-29 mph every time, with 2 adults and a child on board. 11 pitch prop factory. See the videos I have

      Ladd Campbell
      Plenty of power for a 12 pitch on this boat/motor combo. If I take it out alone, I’m certain it’s 30+. I’ll do a gps solo run ASAP.
