Anyone looking to remove old decals/stickers if nothing else get a heat gun and just apply some heat to it.
It softens the vinyl and adhesive making it a little easier to remove.

When trying to make a template for the front, lay the cardboard on top of the gunnel and trace it, it may be a bit wider but it's the Exact shape. if the front piece of plywood is cut tight there is no need for framing? The boat tapers smaller?

I didn't know you had to put harder in that tractor paint from tsc. Guess that's why mine is really easy to scratch and it took forever to dry. I painted my boat trailer black with that paint and ended painting over it with the rust - oleum truck bed coating paint. You got another subscriber and y'all did great work on the boat and trailer restore \ build. I hope mine turns out that good after I have the money to put it all back together. Great build. Good attention to detail. Always concerned when foam is taken out of a boat and not added somewhere else. Family of four died in California a few years back when gale force winds swamped their boat in June Lake, a high altitude trout lake in California. Attributed to foam removal. Boat sunk in middle of lake in 45 degree water.
