I feel like these weekly Friday rendez-vous are going to become a must for me. Your charm, sweetness, benevolence and your voice and accent are things of beauty. I am not really surprised your base of subscribers is growing quickly and I can only rejoice that you can now have the support of sponsors ;-) This is much deserved!
I can sense in you a deep attachment to and love of Nature, as well as a strong romantic fiber, right?... which I can easily identify with, and so I really enjoyed your recommendations a lot. 'Bird cottage' looks like a beautiful book with the chickadees on the cover as well as The last garden in England. I absolutely adore your reading and I wish I could find audio-e-books of them with you reading, that would be delightful for sure!
Curiously enough and, as a great fan of Kate Winslet myself and having seen most of 'her' films, I haven't seen 'Finding Neverland' yet though I knew of its existence; That is probably a gap I will have to fill! In any case, you've made me want to go for it, thank you.
Almost impossible for me to tell you my favourite films or books as there are so many and in many genres; so, to remain in the romantic or 'epic' genre I will just quote a few like 'Forest Gump', 'The green mile' or 'Braveheart'. Big fan of S. Kubrick too and basically SO many films I'd like to quote by talented British films directors such as Attenborough, Hitchcock, Ridley Scott, Boyle, Gilliam, Nolan etc. As for the books, probably 'Les Fables' de Jean De La Fontaine I still consider as our greatest writer along with Molière, Racine, Hugo, Flaubert, Chateaubriand or Proust. And of course the immense Charles Baudelaire's 'Les Fleurs du Mal' (The flowers of Evil). Like the latter was, I am also a fan of Edgar Allan Poe. I would quote Jack London as well. As for the British authors, I essentially like the big six, Wordsworth, Blake, Keats, Shelley ... I won't quote them all for you obviously know them all as well as Emilie Brontë, Jane Austen, Dickens and Orwell!
I am less a fan of series because that is a bit of binding and time-consuming for me to have to keep up, with the risk of becoming 'addicted'. I liked G.O.T. a lot though.

A great idea - recommendations according to the season. The book "Bird Cottage" is certainly an excellent recommendation. Unfortunately there is no audio book. I find it very helpful if there is an audio book to go with the book. Fortunately, there is an audio book for "The Last Garden in England".

Next week I'm getting one of the books you recommend in this video, or 'The Wind in the Willows' which you recommend in another. I'm going for a long hike around Chatsworth in beautiful Derbyshire. I promise myself not to start reading it until I get there 😊 sit on a bench and read 😁 I watched 'Emma' last year. What a film! It's one of those films I call 'gorgeous' because it's so aesthetically pleasing. If I wasn't so busy today I'd probably watch 'Sense and Sensibility' with Kate Winslet ❤

I, particularly liked the book The Bird Cottage for its poetic language that comes out very natural. I am fond of British English that is very precise and upfront. I love your lessons and the way you put up with your positive vibes and engaging style. Though me too, is a Novelist with my debut novel 'Pale Shadow -Pales into Significance' in which I tried to portray my semi functional story of ethnicity. Anyway, I must say again, I love your teaching vibes that are very lively and engrossing with your lovely smile. Kathy, you so lovely lady I desire to love!
