You do need to remove the crawl control because you need to be able to tuck the o e m plug back up into the headliner

I didn't take the off-road control panel off like you did, I just hid everything behind the black strip plastic piece then 3M double sided tape the USB dongle to the black strip plastic piece. Good info on doing it this way though!

Was this difficult to put the excess cable behind the plastic?

It doesn’t look like it’s necessary to remove the crawl control panel is it? Just plug the dongar into the mirror and mirror into the dongar?

Yeah, I would just use some double sided tape to hold that adopter in place so it’s out of sight.

Looks like you reinstalled the upper wire cover upside down, leaving a gap between the cover and the headliner. OOPS.

Hey Dan, great video and extremely helpful! I was wondering if you've heard whether this adapter provides enough power for the VIOFO A139 PRO? I'm in the market for a dashcam and that model seems to be the best on the market currently, but some reviewers have noted that it requires more power than other dashcams.

Yes parking mode works but it’s limited to 10 sec since it’s not always powered
