I’ve been on your website and ive been trying to find out how i can take my car to you guys to have the paint corrected by you personally, maybe even use my car for a video . @@ericsands1 a V36 mask is just that, a mask; it will come off over time - the only true way to get rid of scratches (if theyre not incredibly deep) is by buffing them out completely to the next layer of paint with a buffer like he used near the end of the video (or by a re-paint job, but 90% of the time, minimal scratches can be buffed out and isnt worth the hundreds of dollars for a repaint)

I'm really interested in the black light polish. I have scratches on my car and also stone chips on the hood of my car. How much would this product help? I understand that applying it will help to protect it from the elements but how much will it camoflauge the missing paint?? The hood i find is a bit dull looking over all so I feel this will help in itself. I do have some deeper scratches on the side of the back door of my car. Thank you so much.

@@ChemicalGuys thank you! Got a black Impala I can't wait to try on. Would it be better to put jetseal on after black light then wait a day then butter wet wax ?
Hi! In this video, Nick used V36 to remove the scratches on the side of the Hyundai. Black Light is a glaze that will fill in minor swirls and scratches, but polishing is the only thing that is going actually remove the scratches. While V36 and a microfiber pad worked on this car, there is no knowing exactly what combination of pad and product will work best on your vehicle. We recommend picking up the whole V Line series sample kit, which I have also linked to you below. Hi, my question is , after doing some wet sand Scratch Repairs / then polish or light compounding them and waxing them, Can I use my clay bar over those repairs (as I am going to Clay my entire car) or will that Undo/Damage some of the repair on the scratches and finishes that I just did?
Hey Martin! Thanks so much for watching. Paint correction will reveal a fresh layer of clear coat that no longer has scratches and swirls so it won't undo the process if it is clay barred but I recommend using the clay bar before polishing. - CG Nick
Hi Anthony, good question. Chemical Guys White Light Hybrid Radiant Finish is the ultimate gloss enhancer for a deep, wet, bright shine on white and light paint finishes. White Light is a premium gloss enhancer and sealant in one. Use White Light to add tons of extra deep wet shine, fill minor swirls and scratches, and clean minor stains and imperfections. Will BlackLight work on medium colors (medium Blue)? I have same problem, got scuffed by some traffic cones. Not the cones themselves but the flexible pole type traffic barriers that if contacted head on get run over and flip back up.

Hi Yvette! Start by washing the vehicle with Citrus Wash and Gloss then use a Medium Duty Clay Bar with Clay Luber to thoroughly decontaminate the surface to inspect the paintwork. Machine polishing may be necessary to restore shine, try using a White Hex-Logic Pad and P4 Precision Paint Polish.
Would this work on rims after a little mud riding ? It’s rare i do it but would like to get as many of those scratches out so it don’t look to terribly bad ?
i have a 2011 buick regal CXL Turbo and it has scratches on it. some u cant feel but others u can. ill admit im a lil nervous because i dont wanna make it worse. what u said,......does it work for deep scratches as well(the scratch u can feel with your fingernail)?
I have 2010 maxima I purchased and the owner before me scratched the whole car up I guess he was going to wrap it or plasti dip it but he didn’t have to scratch all the clear coat. My question is can I use a clay bar to buff the scratches out and used a polisher thanks in advance
Hey there! Yes, you can use a machine polisher to remove the imperfections from the paint. Before you do, make sure to wash and clay bar the paint before doing so.
I have a polisher and Ive never used a MicroFiber pad. MF pads make me nervous but im sure they have their place in detailing. Can you tell me why you would use a MF pad vs a foam pad???
MF pads are usually used for compounding which is being done here. They will leave slight micro scratches on the paint, while a foam pad will finish out better without those smaller scratches. Typically you compound with micro fiber and polish with foam.
I had dried bug juice on my hood/grill of my black /Hyundai Sonata. While I was washing/soaped I us a plastic sealant finishing tool to scrape off the gunk. After I rinse I noticed that I left minor scratches on my hood. What's the best way to get this off? Any tips?
Hey Ivan! Try machine polishing with an Orange Hex-Logic Pad and C4 Clear Cut Correction Compound, then refine the finish with a White Hex-Logic Pad and P4 Precision Paint Polish.
I have a dodge challenger and it's curvy all over and I can't get the pad to move when I got to my hood and parts on my trunk. Do I get another machine or just hand polish??
Hi Brett, sounds like you're putting too much pressure on the machine. With a Dual Action polisher, you only want to add about 5 pounds of pressure, which is the same as resting one of your hands on top of the polisher. If you put too much weight on a dual action polisher, it will stop spinning at full speed. With a dual action polisher, you can go at a nice slow pace. Thanks for watching, Ben, and make sure to check back later today for a new video upload!
glaze has more filling properties to "mask" scratches. Polish has abrasives to remove a layer of clear coat and correct the paint from scratches. If you have time, polishing will actually correct the scratches and is preferred before glazing. Once your paint is scratch free, you can use a glaze to enhance shine. Then use a sealant/wax to protect that shine. Glazing is really an optional step. Many polishes have filling compounds like glaze, and can be the last step before waxing/sealant. Hope that makes sense.

i have a 2011 buick regal CXL Turbo and it has scratches on it. some u cant feel but others u can. ill admit im a lil nervous because i dont wanna make it worse. what u said,......does it work for deep scratches as well(the scratch u can feel with your fingernail)?
Hi Stephan! If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail it may be too deep to polish away.
@@ChemicalGuys so it would have to be painted over again(after u sand it)?
Will the car look odd if you only polish the one section with the scuff? Like one shiney part of a car
Hey! It is easy to blend the polish surface so that it doesn't stand out against the rest of the vehicle.
Good video, I wish you could polish my black car, it's covered in parking scratches and marks.
Thanks so much for watching!
Just subscribed. Thanks for sharing your proprietary skills. I’m about to touch up my truck and am a little freaked out about it, this helped 👍🏻
Hey Timothy, thanks so much for watching!

Is this a temporary solution?
Hi there! Polishing will refine the top layer of the clear coat and it will stay scratch & swirl free until it is scratched again.

@@ChemicalGuys Will do, thank you CG!
What are the products used in this video?
Hey! Check out the description for a link to all of the products used in this video!!
What's the difference between glaze and polish
glaze has more filling properties to "mask" scratches.
Hi Robert! Glaze will temporarily mask minor imperfections whereas polish will remove them.
Nice video
Thanks for tuning in Charles!!
What should I use for black paint on car?
Hi there! Machine polishing will also remove overspray.
Depending on the scratch, i like the 34 with a green pad and then go up or down from there
Hey!
Good game plan! Always smart to do a test spot and assess where you need to go from there.
Happy detailing!
So polish, blacklight, and butter wet wax for a black car ?
Would this work on black rims ?
Hey Charlie! This process can be used for any surface that is gloss painted, shiny or clear.
How do you remove yellow gas stains from the bumper cover?
Try carb cleaner
Laquaer. Thinner
Can something like this be fixed by hand and no machine?
Hey! It is possible to polish by hand however you will always achieve better results by machine polishing.
