Watching real scenario videos and steps like this are definitely what we need. Maybe an old car next with 50 or 60 year old paint and sun patina. somebody get Henry a hat lol
Thanks for this video! I have super ugly and annoying paint transfer on the passenger side of my beautiful red vehicle. As soon as this absurd heat wave passes, I will be following your instructions.
Hey there, I had a question I wanted to ask you guys! I recently bought a used yellow 2010 Chevy Camaro. I got a fantastic deal on her, however the drivers side door and hood seem to be a bit scuffed up, almost like someone took one of those green sided sponges and tried to scrub something off.. Honestly from looking at her, I really don't believe the paint was removed.. The shine is gone though from these spots (there are quite a few of them) The passenger side, roof and back look just fine though. Would the process shown in this video work for my car too? I don't expect it to be a showcase level kind of fix, as I'd be grateful for any improvement. Thanks for everything you do and for the great content! ^-^ -Ness.
Good catch! That particular scratch was from a previous incident and unfortunately was completely through the clear coat. We only focused on the paint transfer for this episode 🙂
Great suggestion! This hand-polishing technique would actually work perfectly for your fairings - use an Orange Hex Logic Hand Pad just like in the video, but go a bit heavier on compound, either V34 or V32 if it's severe. Then finish off with P4 or V38 for that jeweled look!
It's not necessarily required, but you are right we do recommend it for that smooth jeweled look. We planned on showing a hand application of P4 after using C4, but we figured we would wait for a final polish until the owner removes the dents.
We are technically polishing here, just by hand using a handheld version of our Orange Hex Logic Cutting Pad. Indeed using the machine polisher would have saved time and effort, and we would recommend it for something this heavy as Joey's arm was tired after this one 😅
Listen guys I know they gota sell their products but there is a much easier way that’s also tool less and 60-80% less effort. lol just use goof off. Rinse or some waterless wash afterwards and then you can use their products for a wax or polish lol

Great suggestion! Oh, Henrrrrryyyyyyy..... 🤣
I love to see a PDR work on that dent and see how close they could bring it back to original condition.
The owner is trying it out - we'll see how it goes!
I just used the clay bar to remove a paint from another car and it did it grear. I finished with butter wax
Another great use for Clay Bar. Glad that super combo worked out for you!

Superb job Joey!

You missed a scratch just below the door handle and the C4 compound and the Butter Wet Wax is a good combo
Good catch! That particular scratch was from a previous incident and unfortunately was completely through the clear coat. We only focused on the paint transfer for this episode 🙂
Dude, you're awesome... I have paint transfer from a shopping cart...not deep... I'm going to get some Better Wet Wax!
Enjoy your detailing products!!
Great video. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful, and thanks for watching!
Amazing. It sad the only store in utah close.
Nice job Joey I do wish Chemical Guys would come out with a battery powered polisher
Great suggestion, that would have definitely saved some time here. Thanks for watching!
you guys still open in houston tx? it doesn’t show on map yet there’s still recent reviews like 3 months ago
what about getting microswirls out of gloss black sportbike fairings? thats what I wanna see and any suggestions on failing clearcoat haha

Does it work with ceramic coating?
I've always thought you had to address the micro-scratches the compound leaves behind followed by a pure wax to protect everything again???

Awesome 👌 👏 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! 🤝
I've tried Butter Wet Wax on sap, and it did not work.
How about soft paint ?
You wouldn’t recommend polishing after?

Make a video to deal with the ashes from the latest wild fires here in LA.
😢
I'd suggest using a clay mit, a bar would take too long. But wash the car, clay it, wax it.

Now all u guys need is a battery powered polisher. For on the goo jobs for in the middle of a damn parking
The only way to fix that’s is strip it to bare metal and get repaint or repaint over
😮😮😮😮
