    Apologies if you've already covered this but a great trick for working on learning how much pressure you are applying is to use a bathroom scale. Put the pad on the scale and press down and you'll quickly calibrate yourself on how much pressure you're applying with your polisher.

    I watched another video of a man who intentionally showed how much it took to burn paint. It took a comfortingly long time. It didn't happen at 5 or 10 seconds. I can't remember but I think it was 20 or 30 seconds. I remember that he said that if it is too hot to touch with your hand, stop. And if you smell anything, also stop. I say that because in high school we did a test for people to see how well they estimated a minute and some people went a lot longer. Count out loud and if you are in doubt, stop early.

    I don't think there is much secret sauce here. Removing paint, removes scratches. Maybe it's not a lot of clear, but removal is the ONLY thing that works without adding fillers.
