I’m Canadian Pakistani and I really want to come to India and try street food there! I just moved to Pakistan and everyone here says india has soo much more options. I’m a foodie traveller as well 😊
They keep it clean yes but sometimes because of the intense heat some items go wrong quick but its rare but when it does happen expect a visit to the bathroom more then once a day other then that enjoy la food
It's because the street food in Pakistan is mostly meat based, and meat has to quickly be cooked and sold. Whereas vegetable heavy foods can be kept for a while, but that causes risks for hygiene.

I think you will still be with your 5$ at the end of the day. Pakistani people won't let you pay anything. They are the most hospitable ones in the world. So you would be able to save all 5 bucks.

Here in Karachi, we've got these small food shops on practically every street corner. It's a super common startup business around here. Seriously, about 1 in 20 people just grab a small space, set up a shop, and start selling their food. Most of these places sell things like burgers, fries, and gol gappa. Plus, we've got tons of restaurants and eating spots all over the city.
I love the way Sonny takes us along to experience other cultures. It’s so much fun seeing others point of view and seeing how they live. I want one of those clay pot meals!

$5 is two days earning for a common man in Pakistan. Much of the population's monthly wage is less than $50. In other words, a normal worker in Pakistan works from 7am-7pm six days a week and earns $600 annually. These are real numbers people for 96% of the population
Really love the videos and the food, hoping so see many more! My one critique is that the AI translator voice feels like it clashes completely with the rest of the vibes of the video. For one of course because its speech doesn't flow entirely naturally so the sentences have weird pauses that distract from the video, but also because the voice itself is a very deep voice that IMO doesn't match the content (though that's very much subjective of course). Everything in the video such as the manuscript, the food and of course Sonny himself is upbeat. The people participating are proudly telling us about their work and their creations, but the translator AI voiceover is not conveying this well at all. Fingers crossed you can make this even better in the future 😀

Agree, there is nothing like "Anday walla burger.." Its tasty, Hygienic, You can eat one or two based on your appetite. And most important its affordable!!

tbh, ive eaten Angry Burger (I live in the area) and believe me it was not good, it gave me stomach ache for days. There is one burger seller opposite to Royal Sweets on the main road (close-by area), I forgot its name (because I literally walk there everyday to get my bun-kebab burger). It is more hygienic, tastier and cheaper. Also if you are in the area, try Bashir Fries near Water Pump, believe me they are the best Karachi fries ever. You wouldn't regret a single fry Edit: and the bun-kebab burger that I just talked about is bigger too

The reason you guys see hygeine among street vendors is Food Authorities. They are active in major cities and pay frequent visits to these vendors. Every Food vendor have to have a Approval Certificate from Food Authority.
No doubt egg shami is so mouthwatering especially if it has original green raita (yogurt with green chilies herbs and spices) instead of mayonnaise, unfortunately in Lahore they use mayonnaise, it's rare to find the original version of egg shami burger And btw the other foods represented here doesn't show the best street fooda, they're just so under average. And he didn't show cream dahi bhallas with paprri
Actually all shawrmas in pakistan have cucumber in them but this one wasn't even rolled. but yeah taste doesn't depend on rolling the shawarma so it could be tasty. but it looked like eating a naan.

Burrak shawarma that you bought was expensive if 170 Pakistani rupees is price of one of them but since there were 2 in the plate so I don't know if it was price of 1 piece or 2 and it wasn't even rolled properly so it didn't even looks like shawarma.

4/5 meals were awesome & absolutely worth it.
But the poutine lookalike seems overpriced compared to the rest.
I bet the Burrak Shawara was your favourite because of the cucumber.
