    From the "purist" perspective, I think slamming should be allowed at least at the pro/adult events in the weight class ( no open class). Because if someone can get up and slam you while you are actively trying to choke them with a triangle, your triangle probably sucks and you should abandon it in a first place. If someone lifts you up and wants to slam you in the closed guard, you can attack their legs or disengage, or just break their posture better next time. Don't get too comfortable. When I see people getting knocked out in MMA when they hold someone in a closed guard I cringe.
    Also I have a major beef with IBJJF that they stop the fight after someone gets hurt during a mat return and then let a person who got hurt recover and continue the fight. What's the purpose of all those throws and takedowns then?
    P.S. As much as I don't want to, but I'd agree with Bill on a white belt thing. I was delaying my training for 10 years before I started to train consistently. Could be outranking the duck master by now.
