If you do attempt to romance Junpei by selecting "Just friends?" he friendzones you. Interestingly, there is scrapped dialogue for a Junpei ending which suggests that he was considered a romanceable option but I guess Atlus didn't want him to have TWO dead girlfriends (if Chidori isn't saved)
My first playthrough of P3 was actually Fem P3P. I made the mistake of targetting Junpei and got friendzoned... But then I saw how nice his relationship with Chidori was and I went full wingman mode.
I was so sad to see what happened to them :( Probably even sadder than with Shinjiro, who I failed to Max Rank and so didn't know he could be "saved".

Yeah we don’t want him to go full Yoko Litner. I think there’s something kind of beautifully sad when he friendzones you for his Ill fated love Chidori so I kinda like it
The fact that they made the ending of with Shinji on New Game+ was a very smart move. They wanted you to think that he was alive and he was. But dying in his lap was the most wholesome moment in gaming history. Thinking he was killed and then waking up to see you was wholesome. Never did I expect to die in his lap.

@@EggyEggtoast Ik it sucks. Maybe one day. When this series get a bit more older, they should remaster all the persona games from 3-5 in the very near future but just put persona 3 as p3p but combine it to make it one persona game.
I know a lot of people who hated shinji living and having that scene as it undermines the theme of death and loss. I personally love it as it leaves a bittersweet ending with dying in the arms of the man she love and knowing that she is going to die while he is fighting for his life to live with her.

Since it's a female perspective on the OG story, it should have a different theme. People come up with different themes like one of them is how Minako's story focuses on how you should always have hope even during hard times as Shinjiro being in a coma kinda gives hope to the player on whether he would live and SEES does have to have hope on that they would live and defeat Nyx. Another one is how Minako's story is based on how you should always persevere through challenges as Minako has to deal with her boyfriend/crush/close friend being in coma and has to save the world.
And honestly, I don't think should've been in a coma at all. Either he dies or like actually is conscious throughout the game. Because him being in a coma really doesn't change anything other than dialogue unless you're doing a NG+ and you romanced Shinjiro. When fighting the reaper i gave him my jim treatment specialty ..... Gave everyone in my party no weakness cause unlike theo or elizabeth who abuses you when you well absorb elemets etc. Or null they go end your life the reaper dont if as i recall.
Just for the record, the scene where Chidori is revived is in the original game too. It wasn't added later in Portable, it's just a little easier to trigger as FeMC.
That being said, I don't have any issues with that part of the story because of what you actually have to do to trigger it. Encouraging Junpei to go see Chidori when he's struggling and so on. It makes it satisfying when you see her revived, even if the method could have been revised a bit.
So basically Junpei is increasing his social link to Chidori like we did to Shinjiro

CrystAAHHL definitely has the worst luck when it comes to falling in love with the Persona Boys, they either end up dying just as the relationship is getting more romantic and personal or they end up friend zoning you at the very end of the series....
LOL imagine fighting theo/eliz blind, without proper prep that fight is probably one of the hardest boss fight in all jrpg history

@@FloatingShorts Probably tons of trial and error. Even in this video you see Crystal catching onto the restrictions in the battle. After learning the basics of how the battle works you can formulate a strategy and then hope for the best. Plus Telos is in the game so that helps. God bless the internet so people can discuss the battle with eachother.
@@NoShayminFeeding Yeah, but like, how would they figure out that you need to nuke them at one point and at no other point otherwise it is game over. (I vaguely remember someone saying that if you take too much HP from the boss they will use Megidolaon, so you need to use Amargedon.)
@@sergiomatheus3392 Like any other puzzle, you analyze the problem and construct a solution with what is given (what the game gives you in this case). Armageddon is nukes for 9999, Elizabeth has 20k up (based on diarahan), she heals to full at < 10k hp. If you can get her below 9999 hp without her healing, you can nuke her with Armageddon and win.
Some madlad found out that counterstrike can work of Elizabeth without her using megidoleon. She has 2 actions per turn and if counterstrike activates on her second action, she won't heal because she has no more turns. Like any idea, I would assume someone though "what if..." and tried it and they thought right.
I'm assuming you're talking about the turn limit, that would just be people turn counting because tons of jrpg bosses either act on turn loops or have a turn limit.
I think some of the hardest special battles Atlus has ever made are VS Elizabeth/Theo in Persona (bc MC only party and you have to bring a calculator to make sure you go all in and kill them before they bring out the fuckin DEATH PIXIE) and VS Demifiend in DDS (because he's the god damn _Demifiend._ Also he has a full party of demons (+ the Pixie of Doom) VS your 4 measly party members...)

If You want to figth Theo again, for some reason, You need the armor of ligth, (messiah's Heart item) and The divine pillar (allilat Heart ítem) that both items will reduce the damage, because if You dont have it, he will kill you with maragidyne or other madyne, And theres an important rule for the figth.
Theo and Elizabeth have an order to use their personas, starting with fire next with, ice, elec, wind, dark and ligth, then he will try to use an altere state, And then he will use the 9999 megidoloan; if your actual persona nullifies, absorb or reflects his next element he will use the 9999 megidoloan (resists elements are valids) , You can use the fusion spell Infinity to stop the megidoloan, And you can also give your persona Unshaken will to prevent to be charmed/panicked/scared
Elizabeth and Theo are bastards, aproximley they have 15,000-20,000
And if You Reduce his life to 10,000 they have a chance of 1/3 of making Diarahan, if his life is Lower than 9999 they will use the megidoloan, thats why you need to have armagedon and use it when their live comes At 10,000 they have a lot of conditons, And if You dont acomplish they will Just kill you, sorry for the english, it is not my maternal lenguage

Huh, i thought its 100% chance of using it everytime... thats why i use reflect on physical and some math to make it below 10k so i can use armageddon
in portable the fight is easier, because you can actually evade Theo/Liz attacks, in FES is impossible to evade them, so you can replace Divine Pillar whit something else and use a good evade boots and you will evade them pretty frequenlly, and there is something that people seems to ignore, you can actually beat them whitout the High counter rng, Eli/Theo only heal themself when they under 10k one time, the next time they heal is bellow 9k, so if you take down their hp bellow 10k, 2 times, you can beat them whitout to relied in the High conter rng strat.

I played P3 as female and was so happy to get Aki as a boyfriend. I didn't even knew about the love flag dialogue, it's very easy to mess up. I just think dating Aki at Christmas is the sweetest thing. Also the friendship with Junpei was such a rollercoaster for me and he ended up being my favourite best friend. The conversation on the rooftop is so wholesome!

Weirdly enough, while Chidori's revival is a scene you can get in P3FES, Shinjiro's never is. You can only see Shinjiro survive in P3P, and I think it's better that way. Kinda weirds me out to see him alive and well after his arc's conclusion. Chidori on the other hand, I'm glad for. No matter if she's alive or dead, Junpei's arc concludes beautifully. However, if she does live, then that means they can build a life together, even if she doesn't remember how they really met.
Yeah, even if she dosen't remember him they both still have very strong feelings for each other, also there's the fact that she dosen't have anyone else in the world so it'd be extremely out of character for Junpei to not try and be there for her always. And also, amnesia more often than not is just temporary and all the memories return eventually, sooner or later.
Crystahl is gonna play Persona Q and Q2 next for maximum fanservice.

Elizabeth/Theodore was practically my childhood gaming nightmare, and that battle was exactly why, lol.
yeah, male protag story is still canon, but it's nice to get the fan service/what-if-more-things-worked-out in the femc route (kinda like how age of calamity is fan service for botw)

I got friend zoned by Akihiko in my first playthrough too xD There are certain requirements for his romance path. Also, you CAN romance all guys without consequences (unlike male protgags), which is great!

I see something about Chidori's revival, feels like a stretch, but it's even more meaningful, since the requirement to do so is to encourage Junpei to keep visiting her, since he looks for your advice if to give up, and encouraging so, makes Chidori to make as many flowers to bloom out of her love for Junpei into life
Yes people getting resurected kinda undermines the purpose but on the other hand, i dont want junpei x chidori to end with a dead chidori

Fun fact: Junpei originally was supposed to be a romance option, but developers decided to take it out. The idea was scrapped mostly likely because the romance would complicate things with him and Chidori, whether dead or alive, or they thought the idea would give a depressing afterthought because he will lose two girlfriends in a short period of time.

And now you understand why people love/hate her. Her route is far more happier than MC, the concept of P3 is loss, how to deal with it and to live your life to the fullest. She does that allright, but there are some... certain things you can do with her that does break even more the concept of the game.
I finished persona 3 FES some months ago, I had heard that the PSP had a femc version with different OSTS and some different social links, but didn't really plan on replaying the game again so I am already playing other stuff. It's really nice to be able to instead watch your videos, thank you for the enjoyable commentary and thank you Deena for the good editing!

I never realized they didn't re-record Fuuka's lines for the Theo boss so they just used the Elizabeth lines.
I just want to say I boot up sims 4, downloaded a household of the P3 cast and found made the dorm. And everyone was just automatically attracted to Shinjiro.

That fight is a bitch. Literally demands you to run a particular set of personas. I havent tried this in p3p but it was a pain in the ass to farm all those Homonculi and Soma and getting the ultimate armor in P3Fes. Felt very satisfying to beat them though.
Everytime i see the story of this game just affirms me how much i love this game. Shame we never saw this quality moving forward however flashy they were.
This is legit the only game that made me cry of all the games i have played.
Again, I wish P4 and P5 did something for a FemC option.
If P5 ever has a rerelease that comes with a Femtom Thief Option, We *All* know who CrystAAHHL will date.

To fight theo you need to respect untold rules.
-No Repel/null/drain with the element that he is attacking you, any null/repel/drain phys is automatic megidolaon, if he is gonna attack you with fire you can't equip a persona with null/drain/repel or megidolaon, the perfect persona for this is orpheous telos but you need to max every social link, or a certain persona builds with the help of fusion and skill cards
-Armor of light/ barbaric bracers/ divine pillar is obligatory, armor of light is dropped by messiah by heart item, barbaric bracers by chi you but you need to max tower social link , divine pillar it's alilat heart item but you need max mitsuru's social link
-Max level and max stats
-You need 10 infinites and 1 armageddon, if get his hp under 10000 he will heal himself, you can keep the battle and he won't heal himself until he gets his hp under 15, 000, but after 10 rounds he will spam megidolaon regardless of how many infinites you use
-Severe elementals skills with amp/boost and high counter
-Resist skills doesn't trigger the megidolaon spam
Ok cool I get to tell my story again!! First time I played P3 ever was on my partner's PSP playing as FeMC. I love Shinjiro off the bat and immediately go to Social Link him. I, also, don't know about 10/4. At all. So, I get his rank 9, I grab the pocketwatch, and I say "Cool, let's go get my grinding done for the October boss fight!" Save in Tartarus, don't even think about it, whatever it's fine.
It was the last night you could hang out with him.
I saved in Tartarus.
I did not make multiple saves.
So not only did my FeMC watch That happen, she spent the rest of the game WITH HIS POCKETWATCH IN HER POCKET.
this is also why margaret admits in P4 that liz (and by extension theo) is stronger than her xD

If you can't push it pull it, if you can't pull it, Megidolaon.
I couldn't even beat Theo with a guide, an all 99 stat Orpheus Telos with great skills, the best armor and Divine Pillar accessory. Granted though, that was on Hard mode.

This game has a lot of glitches. Same thing happened to me where I met all the requirements for romancing Aki but then got sent down the friendship route.
In her case she made the wrong choice of dialogue in Akihiko's Rank 6. Apparently that's her only mistake because if not she would get Aki's romance scene
Which is a shame, because Aki's lines in the romance route is ... spicy.

Don't know if u know it already or not but.... In case u manage to max Aki social link without getting friendzone.... He will invite u to his room everytime u talk to him.... And fighting Theo without prepare is a bad idea... He is super hard to beat...

Elizabeth and Theodore, the first among a trend that uses “Raepidolaon” (9999 Megidolaon)
They are used after 50 turns pass (of theirs), and will do it automatically if you hold Personas that have multiple resistances that are Null, Absorb, or Repel

There's a reason why Orpheus Telos is good for this boss. Elizabeth and Theo will instant kill you if you nullify, repel, or absorb any element in the game. Enduring Soul and Survival trick won't work because they attack twice. In other words, resistances to the elements is essential.
Also, I like how Fuuka doesn't change her lines on whether you have a male or female Attendant.
chidori and junpei give me maruki and rumi vibes,, but happier
I really suggest you use guide for Theo fight because this is the hardest boss in persona 3. If you ever want to fight again.

I get if you're planning on skipping PQ and going straight to PQ2 beause it has all three game casts, but you should still probably play the first game, too
If you use fisical resistences other than strong, you get nuked, if you use elemental resistances other than strong in the turn he use that same element, you get nuked.
His attack pattern is this: fire, ice, thunder, wind, light, darkness, stats, and then the megidolaon(use the double spell infinity using Vishnu and Ananta to protect yourself).
Use the high counter to make his HP go below half, otherwise he will heal ( you can use a calculator to help you), then use your next turn to finish him using Armageddon( Helel and Satan Spell).
I recomend you to be at level 99 and, if possible, get the Orpheus Telos(you need to MAX all social links for this).

From what I know, you need to be at max level to battle Theo/Elizabeth because that's their level. You need to be at that level at least to withstand their basic attacks. It is recommended to use Orpheus Telos since it is strong at everything (except almighty attacks), but not necessary. You can use other personas, but not the personas that could affect their turn.
For example, if you use a persona that reflects fire while Theo/Eliz use a persona for fire, they will kill you. It is not allowed to use Attack/Magic mirror. When it comes to the turn on using 9999 Megidolaon, they say you need at least 10 Infinity's to block the attack.

Happened to me too on my first run through, apparently there's 2 separate flags you have to trigger to make it official, but if you only trigger one you'll get his confession but not actually be in a relationship. Pretty bad oversight on their part but i guess that's what guides are for.

@@w_i_i Alright so around social link level either 4 or 5, Akihiko askes you are you and Junpei dating to start or trigger the romance route which leads to him confessing on confident level 9
You want to pick the option that says
"Don't get the wrong idea senpai." As you continue on, you'll eventually reach level 9 and there's another option to finally trigger the romance.
You then want to pick "Its love." You'll know it when you see it. Hope this helps.

@@w_i_i Shinji's you gotta find his watch (Rank 9) which can be found if you go to the police station and speak with the officer. Ken will ask you around social link 8 I believe if you like him, and you have two options.
You click the "I like you option" or something very similar to it. Then there's another option that pops up.
Ken will say "Don't joke with me like that!" And then I think at that point, avoid the "I'm not joking." Option I think.

Does anyone else here lowkey wish Junpei was also a romance option? I appreciate the respect for Chidori and all of course, yet it is just interesting to me that we can romance Ken and Maiko’s father yet not Junpei.

Now I have a mental picture of you visiting him in the hospital and then just...dying on him in the hospital bed. There's no great way to have your girlfriend keel over but I think it's extra nuts if she does so in the freaking hospital lol.
