Also, Arsenal has so many wingers
What Chelsea are doing is not illegal, but absolutely wrong. This club just find new obscene ways to go about making money. This is my major problem with having American owners.
Re Nico Williams and 'why would you do this?', - United...literally won a major trophy last season. They've also installed a far more efficient (at first impressions&based on their respective experience) Exec team, ungraded the coaching team, have already strengthened the squad etc. Arsenal went from floundering around at the lower end of European slots to challenging for the title the next season with a small clearout and a couple of good signings, and so on. That position isn't a priority, but if United were to somehow sell Sancho, despite the rapprochement and 1-2 others (Pellistri) why wouldn't Williams consider them in the absence of Barca being able to stump up the fee... JJ can be insufferable sometimes.
Because despite that. There’s a track record of player’s career and development going backwards after joining them. Why take that risk? When he could eventually go to Barcelona or another top team
@@MRCL-190 Well, Barca quite likely can't afford him, which should say something about the way they've been managed. And, so far as I know, the actual set-up hasn't changed a huge deal (just pulling levers)and is having to rely on plunging young players en masse into the side. United, meanwhile, not only have new day to day management in general but specifically have recruited the likes of Wilcox (associated with a very strong 'player development' project, whether it's people coming into City 1st team or being sold for big money/succeeding elsewhere). Considering what a palpable disadvantage Glazer leadership has been - until they were marginalized to a more 'dividend collecting' role, ala Kroenke at Arsenal - United have still played a lot of European football, including CL, and picked up a few trophies, whilst continuing to be huge showcase. SAF era skewed expectations somewhat. As a player I would also be more anxious about notoriously volatile Barca /Madrid fanbase, than about Utds, which tends to afford players relative leeway. Not saying Utd this summer would be the absolute perfect move (no CL, for one), but, ala Yoro, it's not something either the player or the rumour mill(!) should rule out....
Is the FA cup really a "major" trophy that would entice Williams though? United were terrible beyond that getting grouped in the UCL so badly they missed the UEL and finishing 8th in the league. Could even argue Athletic Club had a better season than United.

Look at how many prior chelsea academy graduates playing now in the Prem and other leagues.
@@stnbch3025 they have among the most productive academies in all of world football. Former academy players in 12 current prem teams I can think of and plenty in fairly big European teams.
You're acting as if Man Utd isnt a draw to players like Nico Williams and like we don't have a problem on the RW (which he can play)....Then ya'll act like he hasn't himself said that he wants to play with Lamine , in other words Barca.....cmon now, Arsenal is far off his radar! Also, Arsenal has so many wingers
These guys are so witty
And someone like Saliba was only 19mil a few years ago...
What Chelsea are doing is not illegal, but absolutely wrong. This club just find new obscene ways to go about making money. This is my major problem with having American owners.

‘Williams would be great at Spurs.

@@daydreamer83Tebas said over a week ago that Barca can sign Williams. You are stuck in 2022 me thinks. Barca's situation is going to improve with Messi backpay going away as well.
