Footage from the drum solo performance on April 2nd in Knoxville, Tennessee at the Big Ear Festival on tour with Kamasi Washington and the West Coast Get Down.
Mad respect to Tony, you have to be VERY humble and secure with your musicianship to duet with the the likes of RBJ. I honestly don't think this was a "cut session" I think these cats are above that.
Tony is a phenomenal drummer but Ronald is not from this planet. The only guy I think can keep up with Ronald is Chris Coleman. Tony Royster Jr is right behind those two in my book though.
@@agdrummer2610 they are both equal in energy, power probably goes to Ron, but I’ve heard both live. Ron’s creativity imo is better. Chris is a beast but he has less mind blowing creativity with grooves and fills. It’s more mind blowing technique and speed.

Talvez Mike Mitchell e o Maison Guidry tbm. São 2 bateristas que seguem muito essa linha do Brunner. Power, energy e muito freak
Chris coleman has less flavor tho and creativity
Not sure i can agree with the creative thing but Ronald does crazy energy for sure and power
