Bruce Lee was mixed race, as his mother was half-German. It might not seem a lot, but it was enough that he wasn't considered "real" Chinese in Hong Kong, but was also "too much" Chinese in America. 1967 is 54 years ago from 2021. I was in my third year in high school. Bruce Lee Green Hornet was on TV during that time. Racism and the Vietnam war made it difficult for Bruce Lee in Hollywood.
Jackie Chan was a stunt in two or three of Bruce Lee's films. I recommend you watch "The Last Dragon", a bit of Bruce Lee theme, starring a black cool fighter. Not super realistic, but good.
In a way, it's a shame that the sound is taken from a mixture of different interviews and documentaries, as it distracts from what's going on in the video. It was from Ed Parker's karate tournament, where Bruce talked about how physical fitness was as important as technique (he routinely called out Japanese karate "masters" that were fat and out of shape), which is why he demonstrated the two finger pushup. The black guy at the four minute mark challenged Bruce's claims about how fast he was. All he had to do was block Bruce's punch, and he couldn't do it, even with Bruce as far back as he was. When the guy gets thrown back into the chair, that was from Bruce demonstrating his one-inch-punch. The guy taking it was a volunteer from the audience, so wasn't faking it. At around 7:45 you can see Bruce and one of his students in a mixture of hockey and baseball padding, sparring. This was Bruce introducing the world to his idea for full contact sparring. Before then, most karate sparring was either touch, or light semi-contact.
There’s an interview of his wife Linda Lee Caldwell she actually seen Bruce in action against some big white guy. He walks in their yard calling out Bruce, Linda heard him and got Bruce, the guy challenged Bruce to a fight. Bruce told him to get out of his yard, but the guy wasn’t leaving so Bruce took the challenge and kicked the guy through this white picket fence. Bruce lee is believed in clarity..? Don't know...but I believe it it's my opinion is need to before have to learn or do. Understand....have a clarity in everything beacouse self clarity is gives me honest
I think the story was that if Bruce Lee lost, he couldn't teach non-Chinese his martial arts.
The reason why the chinese community didn't want it taught to foreigners because the chinese community is fearful of foreigners/westerners, in cantonese "bart gwok leun gwun" we were attacked by over 8 countries at once. Not to mention surrounding asian countries eg the manchun/mongolia but this lie perpetrated by the west by the US everyone hates china when its the victim by EVERYONE. There's even a documentary called "the kind nazi of nanking" when the japanese ripped china apart and one kind nazi who WASN'T evil was shocked at this and reported it to germany HQ, of course no one cared so he put swastikas to bluff the japanese. Even to this day the world is against china (crap started by the US because it hates a superpower it can't put on a leesh)
@@VTuber_Central I don't think the world currently hates China, just the government and certain things that go on in the country(like sweatshops and child labor)
It's not a real fight bro, it's sparring, and sparring with protective gear. He had plenty of real fights, but they were not filmed.
I love the ip man movies bro

@rantsandreactions Chinese cultures and leaders prohibited Bruce Lee from teaching outsider meaning can’t teach anyone that is not Chinese…
In Biblical times they already know MMA.
Always presumed that maths was taught in American schools
Amazing

Most ppl doont know at he was an American
Bruce Lee was also a boxer.
thats wild ! We never knew that !
no martial arts are the best, like weapons it depends on the users
all martial arts originated china, therefore all arts is just kungfu, people seem to fail to realise china is hundreds and thousands of years old
@@VTuber_Central the first car is invented by karl benz, therefore all car in the world is just copying him
Nice one smartass
Human originated from Africa, therefore all human is n gga
This isn’t the one you should watch....try”Be Like Water
We actually watched that already ! Look on our channel 😊
@@rantsandreactions1444 I saw it right after I sent that to you.
53 yrs ago lol
bruce lee can basically beat everyones ass
I think their buddha is also indian . I am martial artist and even brucelees nunchuck is rubber , even I have that . But nunchuck is made in wood bro
I've got a pair of Plexiglas nunchuck that I bought at a tournament( also a martial artist) I couldn't imagine learning on them. You have to use rubber of foam until you are ready to move up to harder materials.
But you said in this that Bruce Lee didn't gonna win and he didn't lose in the fight but what the shit what are you try to saying ?
And that was wong jackman who was running 3mins, is what linda was saying, don't believe that birth of the dragon bs made up movie
To hit me you must move to me, therefor you attack offers me an opportunity to intercept you.
Wow ok😊
