Im going to being riding a 8.0 skateboard but i want the exact size trucks and wheel so i can do railflip/primoflip and freestyle tricks without any wobbles so i can balance perfect. What are the trucks and wheels size to prefer for a 8.0 skateboard?
Extremely chill and easy to understand. He goes into detail where it's needed and left me with no questions besides the table they forgot to add (although this can be figured out with an educated guess because he gave a general description of it).
Great presentation, diction, cadence, and useful info in a smooth flow. Kinda like a long lazy wave just propelling you down an infinite face on a 10' longboard. Thanks for all the good tips!
Thanks for this video! For me you are one of the best English speakers in RUclips and whole internet. I´m German, my English is pretty well but I enjoy your calm and clear way of speaking a lot!
Really great video and explanations! The best I could find! Instead of complaining about the calm way of talking, I really appreciate it! Thanks a lot!!
Very informative, thanks dude! I found this video via google search as I’m researching how to select parts for my first standard popsicle deck (have only skated Penny cruisers so far), and I’ll be sure to check out your other videos now!
you would think the dude would be bad at making these informative videos, but this was one of the most pleasant videos ive watched in a long time. actually learned something too. good job dude.
What's the bit you say between 6:40 and 6:47? Something about flatground, some kerbs, nothing that goes too fast. What has speed got to do with truck height? btw Best instructional truck video I've seen so far.
I got another question: Is there a video going through the distance between the front of the base-plate to the mid point of the axle? The distance of this will make it either more or less difficult to stay on a nose-slide or tail-slide! Right? (depending on the size of your wheels too, naturally)
Thank you for sharing very professional and informative video! :-) I wanted to ask if it matters when the Kingpin sticks out a little bit more than the truck axle
Great video!, I'm trying to resume skating after 15 years and I was wondering if my trucks vs deck widths were really compatible. Several videos just focused on "if your board width is X and you are buying independents buy WW, if thunders buy YY,", etc. They were not elaborating in the variables that drive the decision. I liked your analysis.
You might also enjoy Prof. Paul Schmit interview on the nine club and also check out some vids by youtuber Ben Degros both have some interesting in depth discussions about the physics of skateboarding and the impact that the components we choose to ride have on our skateboarding abliities.
@@TysonHook-22- Thanks Tyson, I'll have a look to those you suggest. My skills suck so much right now that they can only improve....only if I could get out of my house.
A little off on truck width vs. Board width but you've got the right idea....your wheels should not be completely hidden under the width of your board due to trucks not being wide enough....that is known as a doof set-up...
So i'm wanting to buld a setup for a shortboard with a very sharp turning angle. More like old school skateboards. Not looking for a board for tricks, actually. So as i understand from your video, i would be good with a high height truck, and maybe add a spacer? I'm planning to use longboard wheels, but for those sharp turns i would need to loosen the nut, right? I mean, there aren't trucks out there with different kingping angle, am i right?
Jooby No. Watch the video. If you mean the Independent 139mm, they measure eight inches length-wise, which is half an inch smaller than your 8.5 inch deck. You would want something more like the 149s.
Hi guys, can I get some advice? I’ve just got my son into skateboarding (aged 6). I’m considering getting him a deck. I’m happy to build one for him, buying the different components. In terms of trucks, any advice on say, which Indy’s might be best for him? Standards? Hollows? What do ya reckon? Lucky boy eh.
This guys is the bob ross of skateboarding
I want to smoke his happy trees
lmao good point. and I'm hi af rn lol
He seems unconfident but confident, straight forward but not straight forward at the same time. Vibe is all over the place
put him on a skate in a skatepark and he will show you some confidence
He explains everything very well but goes slowly as to not mess up that explanation probably
JayRusk he is just high hahaha

Does it matter, but that's a good one 😂
I really dig this cats vibe. His demeanor accurately represents what the delivery of your skateboard information should sound like.
When he said "I'm not a professional of physics or I'm not a chemist", I felt that.
What about Scientist ?
This video is a life saver for a beginner and for who skate shop aren't nearby to ask help
Bet
This guy was adorable lol I love the way he explained everything 😊
Ha, GAY!
Bro what
Adorable 😂

I DO APPRECIATE THE CONTENT!
Thanks for not just talking about width!
super video for the novice...really helps you get to that next step. I'm pretty sure you forgot one of your charts though, never showed up.
Im skating this year for the first time since 1993 and if I dont kill myself, its all thanks to this guy.

I’m new to skateboarding but does a 139 mm truck got in an 8.5 inch board
Very helpful video thx
What a nice guy love it!
If I had low trucks. Could I use one large wheel. As you said I can't use two large wheeels
Nice vid
Another good video. Thank you 👍😎🇦🇺
what trucks to choose for a beginner?
this guys voice is like that stereo typical college professor with the super monotone voice that makes you fall asleep in class
the width sizes didnt go very high regarding boards widths
Not sure what you're getting at there...
I have an 8.125 board, the table says I could buy an 8 inch and a 8.25 inch truck, which one should I buy
cool thanks mate love the saying ''could be crusty , foot massage ,
great video
Wow that's dope

What happened to the chart for the wheels and trucks
Can I use an Independent 139 truck with a 7.75 deck?
Can I also use venture 5.0 with a 8 inch deck
i have a cruiser and 7.75 inch trucks. if i use them with a 8 inch deck will that cause wheelbite???
8.125 deck..
8.0 axle or 8.25 axle; whats your preference ?
Same question
I’m new to skateboarding but does a 139mm truck fit an 8.5 board
Jooby
No. Watch the video.

Btw does independent 129 stage 11 standard truck fit 7.75
Should I get 130mm or 150mm trucks for an 8.0”
1:07 he said 'cone' hahahaha xD
Hi, I just set up my guest board but the trucks creak (think it’s from the bushings). Is that normal? Will it go away. (Indys). Thanks.
if the i have the thunder 147, can i then use them for a 8.13 board. Does 0.005 inch matter?
are black trucks dusty?
why does it matter?
yeah but where did the 2nd chart go
i am wondering if 5" would work on a 8.0 deck? because i need to upgrade my deck but i cant aford a truck upgrade

What truck size should I use for an 8.0 board
BackSeatGamer watch the video
Would independent 149's fit on a size 8.125 deck?
Miguel Sumo that’s too big, 139-144 is best
tensor trucks all the way.. have not skated for 10 years now.. but i still remember that was the shit! XD
Damn i dig the 420 vibe🤣
So if I’m getting a 8.0 board I get a pair of 8.0 trucks???
Bob Ross of skate videos
Anyone know If I could skate low trucks with 54 mm wheels?
