Awesome little video on the lift rod and after effects. I've got a 2010 land rover lr4 hse 5.0 with 133,000 miles. I absolutely love it. Just took it to my buddies body shop to pop a dent out and refinish the front bumper and the hood and fix all the other paint chips and scratches and take the Windshield cowl off and refinish it in black. I've got the rhino lift rods on the way and can't wait to get them on and see the same difference in ride height as you and others have got. Then, I will order the 275/65r18 tires and order 1 inch spacers to bring the wheels/tires out a bit. I saw the guy on LOST CAUSE RANCH do that to his lr4, so I love the look. I doubt I will be going off road with it,I just love the off-road look, so I'm really not wanting the rover steelies, but i don't know if I can get good looking offroad wheels to fit the 5X120 mm lug pattern. I hope so, and i hope they don't cost too much,I'm trying to low-budget the look if possible. And you're right about the 2 1/2 inch lift system for it being so easy with the lift rods and easy install. I believe rover owners are envied very much by all other truck and SUV and jeep owners who fork out big $$ for their lifts kits. I waited to long to get the lift rods. I paid $84 on ebay and I'm thinking they were atleast half that price 5 yrs ago when I bought this LAND ROVER . But what isn't double or triple the price in today's world. Well I wonder if you still have your land rover or if it blew up. I think you did this video a yr or so ago.
That's an amazing deal, my purchase was no joke and the air suspension crapping out was so fun, please buy me a set of those steel rims!!!! I will drive to Dallas, I guarantee the dealer near me would laugh in my face if I asked for a rim for $25 hahahaha
On previous video the sunroof wasn't working you might want to try with key on accessory/second position, press and hold the close button for 20 seconds to recalibrate. It will cycle thru all positions, you have to do every time battery has been disconnected
Great video and exactly what I was looking for. If there is ever a chance you can share the dealership that had the wheel deal, I would certainly be interested hearing it. Thanks for posting and keep up the good work.
Hey hi, I have the x lifter +55mm running these wheels on 255/70r18 and I'm getting rubbing mostly in the rear wheel wells. Causing traction control light while driving on windy roads. Do you have any issues with rubbing in the rear?
Did you air down before you tested? Did you set the transfer case to Lo? Seems like your test would've been more smoother and not take three attempts if you aired-down and dropped to Lo gearing.
Yeah I did the same thing but you definitely lose some of the ride quality because it's under higher psi. Much stiffer on the road and off-road you lose articulation that it used to have in off-road mode. I'm actually going to add the sya kit with the spacers because with that and the rods they counteract each other so you basically get a 2.5 lift but then the airbags are back down to factory air pressure in each mode so you're literally lifted but having the soft Factory ride on and off-road with better articulation

Those Defender wheel just look so cool and they are actually tough since they are made of steel!
Wow, great value for the $$!
I really like the steel wheels, and what a great deal!
That’s probably our favorite part as well!

Absolutely correct, shortly after filming this we discovered that reset. Works like a charm. Thanks for recommending that.
😂😂😂 ffs that’s all I had to do?
This worked thanks

I want a set of those wheels. Didn't know that they were giving them away. Maybe just in TX.
It was pure luck of the draw. These are my favorite wheels for the LR3. If they ever come up again we will post it out.

Great video! How did you get the tires for $150? The wheel price was in the video, but you didn't mention where you found the tires.
Pure luck on FB market place. They are used but have about a half life left on them.
awesome body 👍🏼👍🏼
Got my for 1500 also 3 days ago I just decided to get a truck to go off-road and the thing pop up
Good purchase!
Where’s this dealership the wheels came from?!
Will the 03-04 discovery HSE 18" split spoke five star rims bolt up to a 16 a LR4 HSE?

What dealer had these wheels?
Which dealer did you buy these wheels from?
Only downside i could see would be cv axles at more of an angle constantly. Had any trouble with those yet?
Exactly. I was going to do mine but was thinking 🤔 it definitely doesn’t lowers automatically to help with wind resistance 😂
Really considering getting a LR3 over a 2013 GX460.
Do a coilover conversion
