Curious to see what exactly you had to trim. I have the 1.5” lift kit, 20mm BORA spacers and 275/60/20 (33”) on my V8 and it rubs just a little on certain turn angles due to the spacers (front wheels only). I’d really like to have no rub though. Rear clears fine. I have the relo kit too but am waiting until I need new tires to go all in there and potentially go to 35” Can’t wait to see yours! Thanks for posting this, it’s well done. Not enough land rover defender mod videos out there.
I appreciate it, my trim is the SE P400. I know it seems like a stretch but I really think we can get away with it on this one! Lots of help from Saltek Motorsports which has already done it to a couple just no videos on them haha
If you are going to run at this new ride height all the time you need to re-adjust your alignment settings. You’d be surprised how much your camber and toe settings change with the lift rods installed which will lead to premature wear on your nice new tires.
No worries, it would be cool if you could do a video on how the alignment techs correct your angles for the new rod lift. I’m sure there are plenty of folks who would be interested to see the results. These modern rovers are highly sensitive to ride height changes. Dealers will normally put the air suspension in a specific “Tight Tolerance” mode at normal ride hight in order to get the alignment specs within a nominal window. All that changes once you lift the vehicle so at the end of the day you may still have certain angles out of spec and experience some wear. Likewise for the wheel spacers you are using as that will increase tire scrub radius on the front wheels which again can lead to inner edge feathering and wear. It’s the price we all have to pay if we changes settings from stock so it’s a balancing act.
thanks for the interesting video! If it's not difficult, write the exact name of the lift kit, I looked at the site, and I saw only the mounts for the cooler ... but not completely.
Looks pretty cool so funny to think there’s a jeep Wranlger over there with stock suspension with 38,s and a screaming v8. But yeah what a weird way to have to lift a vehicle
How much coolant did you use to fill it up? and what type of coolant? Thanks in advance! My kit arrived from Saltek today and am excited to get it done!
No, it's not everything you need.... Lift rods will not lift your defender properly - it's a hack and it has some big cons; ultimately you're running more air in the bags and the suspension can't function properly as it lifts higher... Hence subframe lifts. To do this right you would have done 4" subframe lift and an electronic height controller.
Wow I did not expect that big of a difference can't wait to see what it looks like with bigger tires
Me either, thanks for watching!
That is awesome that you can do that
Haha thanks for watching!
Good morning guy glad your enjoying your new ride , and all the upgrades to come !!!
Good morning sir, Thank you for watching!
Can’t wait to see it all done!
Me either
Would love to see you install rock sliders (maybe aluminum ones like Saltek?) and some sort of front winch tray/winch install.
That may be coming in the near future!

I just noticed that recently, I appreciate the advice and will be getting her straightened out soon!

Just lift the front, I heard that's supposed to make you the coolest kid in town
I might just have to try it haha
@@GodspeedZRZ $10 says you won't, with picture proof
Damn I can’t wait to see it with the 35s on 🔥👀
Neither can I brother, thanks for watching!
Beautiful
Thanks for watching!

The lift kit is a prototype from Saltek, they don't sell them just yet!

Thanks

Too funny, yeah the Defender is a lot of fun to mess with!
@@GodspeedZRZ I bet ! Godspeed 👍
Following.....great job!
Thanks for watching!
When do you ever sleep or rest! Lift is great!
Haha I do sleep, just as little as possible!
Great video, when you topped up the coolant did you top it up again once the car warmed up?
I sure did
How much coolant did you use to fill it up? and what type of coolant?
Thanks in advance! My kit arrived from Saltek today and am excited to get it done!
Do you still have the old wheels & tires that came off of the 110 ?
I do not
If you lose air out on the tracks can it still be driven with the 35's?
We will find out soon enough!! That’s a good question!
So is the new access height the old normal height?
Close it’s about an inch lower, thanks for watching!
Please tell me the spacer size, 2.5'? 3.0'?
30mm spacers
Thank you❤ Sorry not inches🤣
Why air quote N.m?
Not sure what you mean?
3:55
it made me laugh btw
you lift 1.5 or 2 inch?
2in, thanks for watching!

Aside from an alignment, that is literally all you need. Maybe not all you want but definitely all you need!
Poor defender 😂
It's gonna get a lot worse haha
