Oh I can definitely tell when someone is naturally blunt vs being just plain mean. I have worked with many people on the spectrum, and how they speak carries no spirit of meaness. Unfortunately people on the spectrum can be easy targets to neurotypical people. I have had to call out people many times in defense of neurodivergent people.

The more we (as an AuHD person) can see *healthy* examples and role models (thank you very much for this video!) we will learn how to care for ourselves and grow self respect in new ways. Subscribed, your vid showed up at the right moment as this felt like having a conversation with a friend. I didn't think I was exactly feeling down because of looks themselves (it's more from a place of feeling like I'm never working hard enough, but you touched on a lot of points that make sense and relate to it, and helped me consider the bigger picture, especially on changing yourself to extremes in order to achieve something and that's honestly exhausting) So thank you for that. Lately every sign of someone being judgemental, even the slightest, or saying things/jokes that they have no place in saying has been dragging me down (I usually handle it well but I do need a rest from it all and a safe space) and this was exactly what I needed
